We all miss Brigante :sob:
He absolutly loved the Gnolls, and hoped one day they will be playable
Would be nice to have them
And have a Gnoll NPC (or a Blood Elf) named after him

But both of us have purple eyes already or… you mean a different shade?

And hello there, long time no see :two_hearts:

I’d want some too, preferably with lipstick on females. Black would be best for voidy skins!

This tbh…

Best if all of them get something unique - in fact I was thinking, with how entropic embrace messes up visuals (much like shadowform), we could have an update to it to look different when used with a high elf skin tone. (I was thinking a Holy aura of sorts.)

Because… otherwise I’d not play a high elf. (prepares for hate comments 3… 2… 1…) I don’t really like the voidy background and the void spell visuals that I can’t turn off (apart from right clicking the buff, but then I gimp my damage). They are so out of place.

I went the voidy route because of this, to not feel awkward - but there’s so few void themed, proper looking mogs that it’s barely feasible. Thank god I collected Lesser Wizard’s Robe years ago… all I could roll with otherwise, is the heritage armor, that everyone and their mother has. I want my character to look apart from the crowd! :smiling_face_with_tear:

Also, if Spatial Rift was a blinklike spell… it would be so much more useful. It’s clunky to use as is. Imagine baking a Searing Nightmare into Blink… :unamused:

I have absolutely no problem with the people wanting high elves, despite them having been playable since TBC albeit in a spesific faction. I have a problem with the ones that persistently whine(d) about turning the void elves into high elves; the ones screeching for pink skin, blonde hair, non-void eyes, paladins, Quel’thalas and even renaming the race to high elves. They’ve sealed the fate of high, blood and void elves, with the former never going to be added, and blood/void not getting to be unique.

Obviously i dont get to make the decision. Thats down to blizzard.

But thats a super hard no from me.
Void elves are void elves and their racials should never be compromised upon.
Especially not to be holy (the antithesis of the void)

Tbh it only lasts 7 or 12 seconds in
Combat, which is why it doesn’t bother me that much.

Alleria is blonde and natural, but her void form is ten times cooler than the playerbase when she goes into combat. I love the white hair she gets. I think the playerbase gets blue hair? I have to check

yep i checked. its blue even if you have blonde hair.

I was not involved in the requests for natural skin, but I can understand why people would not want to be restricted to just blue and purple skin. They are elves above all, the void aspect of them comes secondary to that.

Same for different hair colours. I remember I specifically requested for Blonde with void highlights, or a blonde gradient to void blue. I never asked for outright blonde, but I wanted a mixed shade of both. And let’s be honest black and white should’ve been added from the get-go no questions asked :stuck_out_tongue: they immensely fit the Void theme. And ginger fits the Void theme surprisingly well too.

As for Paladins I’ve been asking for void-themed Paladins, like a Void Knight of sort with healing capabilities which would be a Paladin recolour basically.

Those who want Quel’Thalas or the entire race renamed are very few and far between.

We need to be able to tell between what the players are actually asking for and what Blizzard actually gives them :stuck_out_tongue:

By the sunwell! its actually true!

if you go to Telogrus you see some red-headed blood elf women wanting to study the void

IMO, I love that idea! I think it’s a well known fact by now that Void elves have a dual identity, that of Void elf and that of High elf

This will assist in reinforcing the dual identities among Void elves and High elves while keeping them both within the confines of a single race.

Way I see it, it simply gives people more choices, more player agency. You can choose to purely be a High Elf, or Void elf, or even a Void elf with a milder and more intricate look. They should do the same with the Undead skin for Blood elves, like add more undead skin tones and other features for that as well.

I would say that this is debatable.

In order for the normal skin tones and hair colours to indicate that void elves are meant to be non void elves as well, then it would mean that it is completely non canon for a void elf to use those options and still be a void elf.

Which means that anyone who wants to be like alleria is not able to say they are a void elf like her.

But if the options are useable in canon for void elves that are void elves, then their inclusion is just a natural part of their race and does not indicate anything.

However in dragonflight we have gotten a void elf npc that is a void elf and uses natural skin tones.
Which means that theyre just normal void elf options.

So while of course a high elf fan can rp that theyre not a void elf, the race itself is still a void elf and should not be compromised upon in such ways.

Things that should never change with void elves:

Their name
Their racials
Paladins of the light (void reskin is totally fine)

As an add on to that last bit, while it may seem contradictory, i would also be okay with if:

They made it so you could play any race on either faction.
And then rolled allied races back into their core races. And from there it was all just customisation and everything is shared.

So on the character creation screen you would select elf, then high elf, and get to use all the elf options.

An all in or all out type thing.

:100: and yet they think all High elf fans want this.

Most High elf fans has their character situated somewhere around Azeroth. Be it Stormwind’s mage quarter, Dalaran, Hinterlands living with the Wildhammer, or Allerian Stronghold in Outland. The fun of being a High elf is being the underdog, away from your original home.

My character has her entire family killed and her home is in the Ghostlands, so nothing to go back to.

My character lives in Dalaran, and my other High elf character lives in the Hinterlands among the Highvale elves.

this can easily be fixed with Addons like TRP3 or whatever its called.

most people who have this addon (majority of Argent Dawn) can see “High elf Priestess” if they click on my character.

Blizzard specifically said these options were added so High elf fans can roleplay their desired race. Same with the Wildhammer Dwarves. i forgot where the Q/A was otherwise i wouldve linked it, but it was mentioned by a forumer too about a year ago.

They also said it was easier to add them as customization so no new starter zone is needed, which wouldve required alot of work.

i bet if Revantusk trolls (forrest trolls) were added, they would be customizations to Darkspear for the same reason.

Sure thing I mean I don’t personally mind the Entropic Embrace look, although there are some peeps who’re not happy with it. Maybe a glyph would be good where your entropic embrace makes you look more arcane fused, for those who want that High Elf feel and are bothered by the voidy EE. Or just a good’ol EE toggle that’s been brought up before. I really don’t think this would seriously impede the Void elf feel or anything, we can already look uncorrupted, I’d dig an arcane-based EE. But I’d actually not turn it off if it was a toggle cause I actually kinda like it, i think it’s pretty cool :stuck_out_tongue:

I would need to see the interview to be able to comment on it.
I think i know the one youre on about but i dont remember it being as cut and dry as that.

I just feel that void elves should not be changed to be a 2 races in one thing.
When you pick a void elf youre picking a void elf.

It should not be that youre picking a void elf but actually youre not.

I would find the requests to change things a lot more stomachable if every single race in the game got the same treatment.
But certainly not as the only race that looses its identity.

Thats why im all for the idea i proposed above.
It would be a complete restructuring of how races are done
