Thank you I really appreciate that, this is all I want to do in Shadowlands is to be given the option to use both, and not just on my priest on any character I have worked for months to unlock hidden / mage tower appearances. I’m very passionate about WoW and my characters and to force me to not have the ability to show off my covenant and legion legendary pride is not something that I look forward to in Shadowlands, when all it would take is adding an option a choice to anyone who wants it.
Just as you have said your choice would be to choose a weapon or a backpack, I’m happy you are getting the choice you want and if you weren’t I would show solidarity and support for you to receive it. All I’m asking for is for you and others to show support for me to choose to wear both if I worked hard to unlock them… I also hope I’m not alone in this thinking and that I want to show my covenant pride just as Ion has touted since Shadowlands was announced. I do NOT however believe that should be to the detriment of any previous achievements I or anyone else have achieved in wow.
It does not seem to clip particularly, I presume other weapon/covenant back combos clip badly. But I can see why you want the choice.
What do you look like from the front? Just pure curiosity 
No it’s reasonably good at not clipping although you are correct some items are horrendous for clipping.
Thank you for seeing why this choice was super exciting for me in Shadowlands to complete a look I have loved for years. I then found out it wasn’t going to be a possibility and it made me think wow then why would I even bother choosing a covenant and working towards unlocking them If I can’t use them with the rest of my Transmog.

Aww that is very kind of you, I also like to use my matching Unborn Val’Kyr on a magical saucer, and a Spectral Gryphon mount… Makes my Aethereal Angel fantasy on my holy priest a reality, all I need to complete the look is those wings!

Obviously I would rather have the Kyrian NPC wings and that they would count as a mount, but for some reason Blizzard is adding wings that do not let you fly?! Seems like a completely missed opportunity.

I am curious though, my mog also uses - Glyph of Angels, so I know for 100% Fact this is also going to clip with covenant back armor so are Blizzard forcing a disable on the glyph too?
I have no idea to be honest, I haven’t really looked at what covenants give other than what others have posted on the forums. I am trying to be selective and not reading too much on this as I wanted it to be fresh and new when SL hits and I can run around looking at what each offers lol

The wing’s look great for mage too… Although I think weapons that are not on the back are allowed, so this will be fine…
im gonna abuse this to the fullest extent - if it hides mainhand weapons my priest and mage can finally hide the damn staff glued to their spine
No one should feel they are having to “abuse” this system as the only way for you to achieve what you want.
This is why I think we need an option to show or hide weapons now more than ever.

I always match my mounts to my mog, yes I am that vain I think it’s also a little boredom in game atm, we are all in the waiting stage maybe - so I level and play around with mogs.
Recently been playing around with mogs for this mage, I particularly like my current one as the Long-Forgotten Hippogryph goes so well with it

I have a selection on favourites but I have other friends who go to that extent with matching.
I’m not that dedicated myself. I rarely change mog and I have a selection of favourite mounts it randomly chooses from.
Hehe I do have the mount to match, I also like to match the pets with sets too… It is mostly boredom, but I also like to look my best when slaughtering the indigenous lifeforms of Azeroth…
