Covenant Mini Game

Just to open a new and refreshing thread im curious to understand if you ppl are playin with covenant mini games (path of a; stiches factory, seed garden and ember court).

I played by now just the queen garden and i think is bad and boring: now i have some achie more and 2 or 3 new mount but i think is just useless.
With my pally ive played 2 days of stiches factory (dont remember the name) and it seems better
Tried once PoA and never touched Ember Court.

What do you think?

Didnt touch any of that crap after i spent 5 minutes in the kyrian one.

Its so obscenely poor that i feel like going in there is giving them tacit approval to make more of the same in the future.

Just no.

yeah. the only time i tried to play that the combat was so… rigid and unpolished that i gave up.

I did the Ember Court first and found that the most fun, took a long time to complete it all.
I’ve done the bulk of the Queen’s Conservatory and Abomination Factory. The NF is most awkward because it really needs me to be NF to get the seeds and I play Kyrian to do actual content. I despise the Path of Exile, it’s not remotely fun but I have loads of outstanding achievements to do in that.

All of the covenants really need you to play as that covenant to gather things, it’s an incredibly bad system on the whole.

I only really made a start on the Kyrian one after it was part of the meta achie for SL

I did all 4 and I loved it.

The only thing I didn’t do is the highest difficulty of POA. I didn’t touch a single fight because it’s just too tight. If I wanted to do it, I would have to cheese it but CBA. The Ember Court is very fun although I didn’t 100% complete this one aswell. Just enough till I got the mount, Veilstrider and some other things.

You started out with the garden, which is the most passive out of them. You basically plant the seeds and wait, nothing so fun about that. The other 3 are far better.

For me, it’s like this : Ember court > Stitching > Path > Garden.

Never touched it tbh .find it extremely boring and dull content

nice thanks. probably ill try even ember court. in fact season 4 for me will be just play to waitin for DF and somethin new is always welcome.
Im lucky cuz i have all the covenant maximized with chars i love so shouldnt be so diff to try it.

I’m not any more. I did them in 9.0 and maybe a bit into 9.1, but haven’t touched them since.

Mostly no.

I use the Night Fae conservatory because it generates 2 flasks per week per alt, and I have about 7 NF alts. This covers all my flask needs, and also generates some materials for other consumables to the point where I never have to farm anything. Much of this can also be accredited to the mission table, which is the other minigame I do on all characters. (People sleep on how much gold it can generate long term!)

I tried Kyrian PoA on day one, then never went back. A combat minigame did not match the mellow aesthetic of the zone at all. I don’t care about an abomination and have no permanently-Necrolord characters because I really hate that zone and the gear aesthetic and want nothing to do with them, even if they are oddly wholesome under the surface. Venthyr Court never appealed to me at all - maybe because I am the kind of person who avoids parties wherever possible, but I have literally never even watched a youtube video of what it is about because it sounds so uninteresting.

What they could improve about this, is to make it abit less complicated maybe. When I started, the other 3 were very self-explanatory, but for the ember court, I felt I always needed some additional information as I was always missing something.

Once you get the hang of it, it can be pretty fun  Atleast the event part. Gathering RSVPs, the event supplies etc. is a tad boring

I’ll give it a read and a think, but tbh, a lot of my enthusiasm for the mini games died because the characters aren’t with the covenant I want them to be with - for the obvious reason of covenant powers.

I didn’t want my main to be Venthyr, I find the whole architecture and atmos rather depressing. I liked Kyrian, or NF, but Venthyr is just better for most of the content I do so… this is where I am. Since I do mission tables, I can’t really swap at the end of every day to “go home” to Bastion because I’ll end up losing im-progress missions all the time.

you know? my main is NF and i played the first year with him. But now i tend to avoid this zone like hell. Ok i tend to avoid SL like hell but ardenweald for me is off limits zone. Dunno why.
In the end my BM is the only one between ny chars in NF.

I’m ok with Ardenweald, it’s Maldraxxus that I try not to go. What an awful afterlife that is, think I’d rather get on with my “true death” :joy_cat:

(Although of course the point of the Arbiter is that I’d never be assigned there anyway. I’d probably end up in some quiet little backwater shadowland that ideally looks a bit like the Valley of the Four Winds.)

These mini games are just not for me. Not this, not the mission table they introduced in WoD. I guess it’s there mainly for the casual/solo players. They’d deserve something better though. As long as the engine can pull it off.

I’ve just remembered the Leylocked Chest puzzles in Nazjatar, that one I really enjoyed.

I’d say it’d be odd to collect malleable flesh as a fae but… can see your point. If coven swapping could be done in a rest area, or the mats were to drop in the covenant’s zone (or from the kill bags by soulbinds, no matter the area to favor ZM farming), people like you would have an easier time. :slightly_smiling_face:

I played it during winter, and can be fun if you like companions. Wish we could use them for endgame content, but the feature would be a bit OP then. :frowning_with_open_mouth:

As is, outdoor content is mostly easy to kill (apart from ZM rares and elites, but you have Poco for that), and world bosses. Since Korthia and the baseline 4 zones are outdated, the constructs aren’t worth as much anymore. And if I remember correctly I couldn’t even summon them in the Maw.

That sounds nice, especially for gold making as flasks still sell.

If you have some otherwise useless alts with a pinch of anima, they can dig up a bit of gold every day. Ancelyn covered her money needs with this feature mostly.

NF has always been a powerhouse of material gathering. Strong followers to the point I’ve had up to 14 missions simultaneously running, plus a fully planted conservatory is a non-trivial amount of materials in addition to the guaranteed flask.

It’s lost a little value as time has passed though, most materials are in oversupply on the AH right now, but the gold income is good and it saved quite a lot of cash in the early months :smile_cat:

Some were indeed good but, ultimately prefer the necro champions - 2 powerful ranged casters, many melees, and the plague ooze can dmg + heal every creature (depending on the side they are on) every 2 turns. Also 2 relatively strong tanks - had no difficulty doing the lvl60 campaign missions for the 4 mounts. :smiling_face_with_tear:

Indeed, that one is at least useful to some players. I’m a ‘filthy Token buyer’ so I’m looking at things purely from fun POV.

That said, they worked on the table more this xpac and it was more interactive. It reminded me of a very old game called Albion (1995) with the old skool turn based battles.

Oh it’s not really the NF followers that make them work; it’s the troops. All missions are completable with just 1 champion, so you can absolutely maximise your simultaneous runs.

Pair with the TLDR Missions addon for extremely fast and efficient materials/anima gathering on multiple characters for the cost of a few minutes daily :smile_cat:
