That part I didn’t catch! I stand corrected

Easy to miss out on. I know that I was getting very excited when Ion started talking about it.

I’m not done telling Beth how fat she is! Damn fat human.

Or friends idk. Many buy in advance and freely share when needed

Well regardless. Now that my initial outrage has died a little, I can say I’m looking forward to the time when this is released.

If the use time is 1 hour or more this will be a far better option for us all.
No need for a limited member group, an add-on and all that.
Also a plus since there are many that simply don’t use to many add-ons, but now when given an in-game option even MORE might opt in for cross-RP.

This is a major victory for the RP community! We got what we’ve asked for since vanilla - and it’s going to be a major boost for all of us!

Like Lupie so finely states, there will be no hassle with keeping addons working, there’ll be no grieving of the people who are not keen on sharing out their Btags, there’ll be no restrictions or obligations of signing into communities.
It is really just a simple potion in the game that you can drink, and it gives a reason to play the game!
Someone’s a bother? Disable the potion and walk away!

Cross RP and the developer of this addon has been a major help and inspiration, leading us to what we initially wanted: Blizzard integrates X-faction communication as part of the game and confirms that it is legit to talk with the opposing faction. There we go!

Time to celebrate!

Make an Uldum nights event for it! It’ll be the perfect use of the new potion and the mood there is great with night potions as well.

The item is already ingame! You can buy it in Dalaran (Broken Isles) by the goblin alchemist in the underbelly. Costs roughly 27 gold, can be stacked up to 200 and lasts an hour. Once you drink it you can choose the main language of the other side in the usual language menu.

Think they should half the cost. But hey, it’s there… now I need to see profiles.

Now to make them make the Orb of the Sin’dorei cooldown shorter, or increase duration.
That’ll shut up the high elf Rpers.

Sadly emotes don’t work so if you want to emote with the other faction you need to do ** in /s :frowning:

Another fine example of blizzard giving us vanilla icecream when we asked for chocolate.

Ice cream is ice cream (so long as it’s not **** coffee…)

Rather something than nothing. It opens doors, sets precedent, etc etc.

To be honest given the speed they put this in to help us out as Rpers and as way of an apology, I can live with the ** approach. My personal belief is that this is the basic test code to see how the community reacts to it with potential further development into a more permanent feature if it’s well received.

I disagree. Its been a highly requested thing for years. Same goes for darker nights and weather effects ingame. They gave us those inky black potions to let the crying stop. By giving us a mediocre black skybox for 2 hours ain’t exactly the thing we really wanted and i guarantee you that it’ll stay this way till the end. It doesn’t open up doors, it only locks them with giving us something we can “work with” instead of the thing we actually asked for.

Now people can go RP in Dalaran without having to join tons of different communities for the add on to work.
I hope Dalaran or other neutral areas will see a lot more RP now.

Look at it positively it’s a step forwards. Darker nights were a different kettle of fish because not everyone wanted them. This though can be improved if the community don’t

a) abuse it
b) keep pushing for further development.

You need to remember systems like this take months to implement properly and they’ve managed to put this together in 2-3 days. So give it some time and some constructive feedback with the devs and there’s a high chance they will improve it.

Yet it didn’t backlash Blizzard as badly as after they removed crossRP addon. If they mess up - they tend to mend their mistakes.

who would’ve thought…
