We need Fresh Classic - limited to phase 2. ERA PVP is utterly garbage.
Salt detected. Era pvp is great for mindset of players who remains there. Resilience pvp later expansion is pure designed around arena mechanism.
There are classes that can beat shams 1vs1 with set of gears they have collected. Yeh ele shaman is comlete brainwash sometimes so are certain classes using faps or LIPs. But still like ERA pvp more than TBC one or WOtLK one. You dont like this go play retail or those two expansions. None forces you play āgarbageā.
I think for naming and other purposes it would be a really bad idea to consolidate the Era servers. I have a suggestion as to what to do instead:
Instead of deleting servers with all the naming drama and so on which we have just been through in TBCC. I suggest a merge and tabs solution:
Now in the Realm selection screen we have these tabs below: Seasonal, Russian, Classic Era.
I suggest these tabs: Seasonal, Russian, Classic Era PvP, Classic Era PvE, Classic Era RP.
In this way all PvP can co-exist and still be merged into one, same for PvE and RP, but we avoid the naming, moving, level-losing etc hyper-mess of the consolidation.
ZT, HW and Celebras should should not be merged, but be placed in the RP tab.
Also this allows for people to have more than 10 characters in PvE or PvP which would be the case if all servers were simply consolidated.
I think this is true and I would generally encourage all people interested in classic pvp to give era a shot. In my opinion it remains the best incarnation of WoW BGs where individual contributions as well as skill and committment matters greatly.
Some commented on the gear gap and - whilst true to some extent, i agree particularly with the arguments around shaman dmg scaling - this can be countered by team play under most circumstances other than complete domination
The problems i see have more to do with a seemingly very small playerbase on horde which yields the same high-level team game after game, very low honor caps on some servers that encourages ātouristā behaviour and, quite frankly, superior Horde teamplay on many occasions.
I am personally more than happy to help anyone interested to join up if you are unsure what to do, where and when. When not on the druid (who cant kill anyone obviously) i also try to not make the experience particularly grieveous if i see a horde milling about on a not very strategic area with gear just out of BRD.

If we keep the realms and mark them as merged / belonging to a cluster, weāll avoid the āconsolidationā and name-changing chaos that the BCC realms recently went through.
Id rather merge. I consider the name issue a minor problem . We cant keep small individual servers, it just gives single guild monopolies over all resources, HP ranking etc. WoW doesnt play well on 40 man servers
Only if those crazy dynamic respawn rates that were made for giving players mobs to kill at launch are abolished. Else merging servers is a No-no for me. Then I - doing the Death=delete challenge need an almost empty server.

When Iām all alone in a zone (and yes this happens, as I play mainly off hours) mobs spawn in the order I kill them, one at a time, giving me time to stay on top - like it was back in Vanilla.
When Iām suddenly not alone - and this may not even mean players killing anything in that zone, only passing by on a nearby road - POP! the new dynamic respawn kicks in. This was made for launch at a server holding several times the population of a Vanilla server in a Vanilla map. All mobs respawn at the same time, and they keep on respawning very fast. Now I canāt keep up with them. Sometimes I have killed one, while I loot, a new one spawns, I kill, I loot, a new spawns - sometimes even before the second has died, so that I see three of the same mob lying dead on the ground while I am killed by the fourth spawn. Now imagine this happening while clearing a camp ā¦

And i know some non roleplayers were also unhappy to lose their char names during the huge server murder processā¦
They will probably at least connect all of the realms.

They are not finished with the last one
It is true that shamans can be overkill, but it is a class with its weaknesses.
They for one have mobility issues, use mostly one school of magic (nature), and wear mail armor.
I have seen tons of shamans eat the dust consistently in PvP. The problem is not so much shamans, but those 3-4 the likes of Tengil or Emerica that show up kicking *ss, because 1. Class can potentially delete other players and 2. They have skills.
If we are to judge a given class b/c of their absolute top dogs playing it, then Alliance warriors are massively advantaged b/c of Hebu or Mazzanegra. See what I mean?
I think, even AQ gear would be fine, even though you are right about T2. It is mainly Naxx gear that totally breaks ballance in Classic PVP. But wellā¦ not gonna get that on Era.
well its true. ever since i ended my career as water suspender and joined the action it is actually mind boggling to see how many times those shamans are allowed to run around with a Curse of Pain on them. Essentially giving them CC immunity and free reign to cast ā¦
