Current state makes me want to quit.... again

Fair. Agree 200%.

But I wont be a hypocrite. I either boycot all other apps as well or none at all. Its my personal opinion.

Either way. Assuming you did, off the grid means off the grid. You cant then complain that you cant buy firewood with a Visa… Your choices have consequences.

And not using Discord (for whatever reason, even if its 100% legit reason) also has consequences. So own your moral choices and dont complain that you cant “find a guild and PuGing sux”…

The BBC is a public network. All those things are tied to the politicians we collectively vote for. And none of the countries in the Western Hemisphere have made good choices since the 70s.

So its 100% more productive as an individual and society to vote for proper, data and technically driven politicians. Instead of buying into the “sensationalism” and “PR campaigns” they do.

But alas… they dont even exist… because those people you mention are just a reflexion of us as a society… we are to blame for that. Not them.

We simply think that boycotting Discord and “liking” posts actually makes a difference. It dosent. Voting does.

Excuse me? Are you referring to a forum member by name and accusing them of a crime?

Please take it down before things get ugly. :x

It’s nothing to do with me, I don’t vote as voting also doesn’t make a difference.

They just got a new government in the UK and they are doing the same stuff they made fun of the last government for.

I’d never vote for a fat moron who accepts “gifts” and lies.

I think he is referring to a Discord channel/encrypted chat service. But I don’t want to have this conversation degenerate to that.

You get what you vote for. If you don’t vote, others will. And you get what you get : A government of the minority of the population that actually votes.

Because if voting is useless as you say, what exactly are you expecting ? For good politicians to simply fall from the sky and do the right thing ? Nope.

So don’t be surprised of all the weird stuff going on. Like I said to our friend Papertonk… OWN your moral choices. And if you let others decide for you, then you have to accept those decisions. And to be fair its not just UK. Its all over EU.

But look. Do whatever you want. This is a WoW forum. I got bated into discussing real world things, and this is not the place to do that. So il leave the conversation now.

You are doing something wrong.

I got my dk to max level last night and went to sleep.

Today player it for 2 hours and its already 582 and still have 1 dvelve key

You gotta learn what endgame offers.

I understand you on m+ complelty though

My advise ? Just level alts do dvelves and once you will be 619 in couple of weeks then start to push m+

I made the same mistake thursday - saturday trying to push - its just not worth it ATM - better to focus on dvelves / alts  dvelve gv offers much better rewards anyway

Not really because individuals don’t have a say in policy. For example they heavily tax alcohol where I live and basically everyone is a drunk (at best). Do you think any of us voted to be taxed for alcohol?

It would be like if my immediate family voted for me to represent them at a gathering of my entire family, then instead of bringing up issues they wanted me to I just ignored them and accepted bribes.

Then later there was a new election and their choices were, vote for me again or vote for my equally hollow twin brother.

Then be thankful.
Drink less. Then nothing. Learn from it.
Alcohol is incredibly destructive stuff.

Aaaaaaaaanyway… With the types of topics this thread is producing, I’m going to take my leave from it. This used to be about WoW players not being very nice.

In direct democracies you do have a say, but yeah most representative democracies are a joke, cuz politicians across the spectrum usually bait and switch.

I just lowered my bodyweight so I’d have less blood so it would take less alcohol to get to the same BAC.

It also doesn’t apply to alcohol bought online.

There’s a way round almost everything. :sunglasses:

Yes there is another option: to not play M+ and let this garbage collapse.

You baited me again… But deep down im also a sucker for arguing politics

What many people don’t get is that national policies and local policies are not the same, or have the same purpose. Like taxing alcohol. Its purpose is to finance other things, AND, to lower down in a overall % of the population consumption. Its NOT intended to prevent you personally from getting wasted.

What people also don’t get is that whatever policy the government does, it will have externalities. A fancy name to say “everything you do, does good and bad”. You might WANT a local swimming pool. But it will cost money, hence taxes go up. Just to mention some obvious examples… But people dont even think about this. There MUST be something bad, so WHAT is it ? Ask questions ! But nobody does.

Third, people are sensationalists. So a policy with a 5% failure rate, for example the eternal discussion of welfare exploiters. People forget its STILL 95% successful… so totally worth it !

Fourth, people are also sensationalists. They read 1 tragedy in the newspaper and instantly want actions. 1 rare case is not a big deal, no matter how tragic it is, and dosent merit a whole law to change things. Like vehicle laws. 1 person had an accident in a weird way, and they change the laws of ALL circulation for the whole country.

And finally … people don’t OWN their morality. I had a discussion recently with someone about abortion. They were against it. But I told her that if she dosent believe it should be legal then all this should also happen :

Provide free and universal birth control, expand daycare, cost reduction of having a child policies, special needs policies, orphanages and other related institutions…

And she was also against doing all that. So she did not OWN her morality. So she lost all respect in my eyes.

Those 5 reasons are why we get the politicians we get.

That’s not the state of the game, it’s the state of an extremely boring and toxic part of the game that is m+.

Was gonna say something about no pain no gain, then I realised that this is exactly the correct attitude for a computer game :dracthyr_sweat:

WoW is a game. Save your effort for something that matters. If an activity is annoying, skip it, do one of the fun bits, and make it the devs’ problem to improve the experience.

Not this again…

You can buy full 564 from the AH… Please just understand this already

When you have to buy gear from the AH to be able to move from normal into heroic dungeons then there’s something very wrong.

Why does it matter how you get it?

Gear is gear.

you dont though . there are tons of other options

problem of peopel is they do 0 research .

The government doesn’t actually have to do anything it is elected to do though.

So they can say all the stuff people want to hear “We’ll crack down on welfare cheats, lower taxes and make housing affordable for young people!” Then not actually do it.

So even though people are susceptible to emotional headlines or have hypocritical morals, that isn’t why they won’t get what they voted for.
