But just imagine they said they would do that⌠with out outlining the costs⌠And then did it anyways ! Call the costs âdebtâ and kick the can down the lineâŚ
But imagine then that politicians were honest about it. That they said they cant do those things because its not worth the cost of doing⌠who would vote for them ?
I ignore M+ the first weeks as the toxiticity is unberable, as I dont have friends playing the game at the moment and no one wants to be social anymore in retail.
Yes I joined guilds but they also have their inner circles and thats fine but yehâŚ
I almost never pug, if I didnât have people I played with I wouldnât run M+ at all. Itâs just not worth the hassle and you have to ask what are you playing the game for. And we all know finding a guild can be stressful and forces you to make an effort and put yourself out there, but if you want to play the game and enjoy it you have to make that step.
Almost all of the people I currently play with I met in the last 2 years, almost all of the people I played with in the past do not play anymore, and I went through a good period of playing solo, mostly avoiding M+ and raiding entirely. You can find new friends, you can find people to play with.
Pugging has been miserable for me as Havoc. I can play my off every dungeon, but I need to be picked for that dungeon first. Iâve only gotten into 2 7s so far, one we timed, the other we wouldâve timed but the server went into surprise maintenance.
Iâm 1850 M+ rating 610 ilvl btw. I guarantee you if I was playing Mage or Evoker Iâd have a way easier time pugging.
But my class doesnât have Lust or Combat ress and they nerfed our magic debuff to 3% from 5% and now itâs like it barely exists.
M+ will forever be awkward because it is derived from a traditionally PuG-able experience (dungeons in general) yet it is made to not be PuG-able at any interesting key level.
Honestly this is why i have become bored of dungeons. I used to love group content but ever since mop challenge mode dungeons i have hated dungeons.
Which is why i like delves no human drama and when i get loot no whining that someone else wants stuff i got also no leavers and no wait time for dps.
Thatâs basically the point I was making initially, voting is pointless because they arenât held to their promises. I also very much doubt they actually want to solve most of the issues
Ultimately everything is propped up by how greedy people are. The last government which everyone hated actually went really well for me, so I canât complain.
Not true, Iâm casual and have presently got a 606 ilvl thanks to playing delves - but I donât have alt-itis, and focus my time on just one character. The free crest from story mode gave me a 619 weapon, too, and that helps a lot.
Iâm casual in the sense that I donât like raiding - LFR is as far as Iâll go, unless I pay for a âlast boss carryâ near the end of an expansion, and theyâve completely trashed mythics for players like me. 0s are now the equivalent of +10s, which was my endgame - I always found them hard, but didnât mind doing +2s to +6s or so - options which are now completely unavailable.
Delves fill the gap, and as a bonus Iâm only letting myself down if I balls-up. You get 2 runed crests per 8 as well, so thereâs an upgrade route there. And if youâre lucky enough to get a map to drop you can get gilded crests too.
It is just normal, like we always had, that you can gear in normal and then are able to go into heroic. And after heroic into mythic. Of course there are other resources. This char is like 585 and hasnât seen any dungeon from inside. But the system should just be normal into heroic into mythic, etc.
And in hindsight i question the choices blizzard did on this regard.
I was optimistic that this season blizz would do a âdinamicâ tuning to dungeons. Ina way that early on (now) dungeons are a bit harder to gatekeep the raiderâs gear, but they would nerf them later on so we retun to the situation we were pre-squishâŚ
I am hopefull it will be the case. Because the squish seemed to be a failure.
But blizz got themseves in a pickle IMO because now they have to choose between having a timer, or not. The squish was done in part for people that got stressed about seeing a clock tick (which IMO is ridiculous).
So whatever they do, some minority of people will get angry. I hope blizz grows the balls to ignore the âno timerâ snowflakes and put things as they were.
Because for me, it changes nothing if I am currently doing 8s or 18s. Its the same to me. But for you, it removes options. Bad system IMO.
I was a casual enjoyer of m+ but everything below +9 is DOA for me.
There is no guarantee I can even complete a +7 even if I magically became the worldâs best tank, or that Iâll get any drops. Even if I do I have to waste time farming crest in +4 to upgrade the gear to 619. This completely ignores noobs blowing up my key in the absolute abomination of a keystone system.
Meanwhile I can do 8 Delves very easily, get a 616 vault and upgrade it to 619 with the crests I got from the 8 Delves. Delves let me pick a level and there is no failure conditions or punishment for being bad. I can start one, die 19 times, fall asleep, wake up, finish it, unlock a vault slot then immediately do another t8.
No, but seriously - the problem is that tanks have a metric ton of health and self-healing to the point where, depending on the tank, healers arenât even necessary. This was a problem last expansion, which is why they increased everybodyâs health by 50% and reduced tank selfhealing to compensate, but unfortunately they only managed to make the incoming damage relative to self-healing the same and get rid of the 1-shots, which is exactly what I was worried about.
Additionally, the AoE threat generation is incredibly high, leading to tanks being even safer from not just the damage overall, but now also from sudden death, and their 6.5 threat generation makes it basically impossible to pull mobs off them once they have been gathered up and hit a couple times.
This means that they can tank 10-15 mobs at the same time, and as long as the DPS can lock down the casters with their equally insane AoE CCâs it turns out you donât need proper CCâs or much in the way of pull tactics within the context of a single enemy group and the whole thing becomes the usual AoE spamfest.
If you play 3 player delves without a tank youâll quickly realize just how insanely good tanks are and what not having one does to the game - which I should mention is much more fun as well.
The problem here is the tank. Tanks are grotesquely strong.
Join a discord community and do M+ at whatever level you like. But dont farm gear. Its dumb. In fact, donât even farm in in Delves. Just do Delves if you think they are fun.
Just by playing, gear falls from the sky.
This was nerfed in WW. Its one of the reasons why tanks actually do receive more damage now. And can die easily if they dont execute their rotation properly.
This creates funny situations where, especially on pull, tanks have to use resources to stay alive and DDs can (and will) agro mobs from them if they are not careful.
But of course. Watching a good player play will always give the impression that their roll is OP. Not just tanks.
Delves are like saying: âYou get paid no matter whatâ and keys are like saying:
âYou get paid the same amount but itâs harder and if you mess up you own me money.â
I like pugging itâs just pointless now. With how long the seasons are Iâll eventually be geared up via Delves and then I can skip gearing in m+. Normally Iâd play m+ to gear up.
They changed this in TWW. Itâs awful as a holy priest. You donât have an interrupt to help stop casts, fearing does almost nothing because they just start casting instantly again.
