coming back in classic after 15years, i realized (again?) that Wow follow the 24hours day/night cycle. How stupid is that? when most of active irl players can only go after their job, are we condamned to play at night only?
If not please enlight me.
If yes I’ll unsuscribe asap : there is no rational point to follow this rule when an accelerated D/N cycle is the anwser of every other mmo.

I actually prefer that it follow the real life cycle. That’s just me though.
Always found the accelerated cycle stressfull for some reason.
I prefer the real life cycle too. Though the sun does seem to rise and set in the same place for some reason 
I do get the OP though. It would be even more frustrating if there were many features and mechanics that relied on time of day, such as day/night only mob spawns (though it would be super thematic).
I dont know mate, if there was time limit for questing or special events time-related i would agree with you. But here? I find it stressful (ok : boring) to be limited by irl limits when I play to be amazed (not by grahpics here but still ^^) .

Anyway im really bored coz it means i wont be able to enjoy the realm during the day. I won’t stay to play in the dark only.

Well, at least we have weekends 
I don’t really have the time to play in the daytime either due to work and other stuff on weekdays.
I will say though that the game doesn’t look all that different at night, especially if you’ve played games like KC:D and the like.

I always loved, that wow has a real day and night. It’s really immersive for me. Isn’t this d/n cycle still the same in retail? I thought that it is.

It is, yeah, but I’m pretty sure there’s no longer any relevant content that’s affected by time of day.

I was literally taking a moment to appreciate this last night, it makes it feel like an actual world,
Fish catch rates are affected by time of day. Nightfin Snappers (for best manaregen food) aren’t available during midday and have best cast rates during nighttime, Winter Squid (for agility food) has better cast rates during daytime, Stonescale Eel (for best tanking flask) has better cast rates during nighttime.
Actually now that I think of it there might have been some fish in current or recent expansions that was also more common during night, so I guess it might still have some relevance.
