I am fairly sure night elves has a home or two. Something Something feralas, Something Something ashenvale. Also can someone remind me what the reward is from doing 1 year of the funny trading post quests? I forgot.
Personally i wish orcs would take as many L’s as night elves. Damn the amount of cool rp i could do around that.
the home: flooded and contested half-built town, deforested ashenvale (astranaar also got wrecked in bfa i think? so i guess it’s lore accurate to not do the fire-extinguishing quest there lol+lmao)
hey guess what we been doing cool rp for ages
it just gets a bit stale when the theme of the week is another weird defeat at the whims of the loredevs
Didnt the night elves win the battle for darkshore? Pretty sure thats canon.
They would’ve never had problems had they simply kept the Highborne and Arcane exiled imo imo!!!
If the Night Elves don’t like to lose that much maybe they should make houses out of stone and stop overusing wood for everything.
Just saying.
Yeah but the kal’dorei should have been able to moonfire the Horde with zero casualities and absolute victory so the fact they won doesnt matter because anything other than total and effortless victory is a night elf L
the win: darkshore is like blighted to hell and completely unsuitable for building or something like that
because the only times we can win is when it’s Pyrrhic amirite
this unironically actually
Elf History Passes
Elves: “I think it’s time to re-brand our race.”
Boring. Flaws build character but you cant have your wonderful race have a single one of those
if night elves actually had an effortless win it wouldn’t be boring because it hasn’t happened in the game before lol
it’s boring because you know the end result in advance right now. ‘oh this is nice, wonder what’s the catch?’ is a frequent question any time there’s some nelf content
So true my brother Gruggosh. You speak the wisdom of a shaman.
We had Draeneiposter and Nelfposters… Prepare for the SSS rank rare Pandarenposter with awful takes.
It’s worse, it’s also an off-realmer.
The woes of playing a race that gets consistent lore are great and painful beyond imagination…
Anyways I thought it was really neat that the expansion based on fighting the Draenei’s most mortal enemies was mostly just night elf (and night elf but bloo) lore until the 3rd patch where the biggest part of our races’ lore was condensed into 3 minizones and the story was mostly about a night elf, human and high elf being the coolest things to ever exist that was really cool.
i think the fatal night elf flaw should be that every time i say type ‘ishnu’alah’ a forumposter gets incinerated by moonfire irl, i think that would make for some intriguing conflict rp (i go first)
They did, and the Night Warrior era were peak night elves.
Then Blizzard got the bright idea of making night elves the main race interacting with award-winning stories of Shadowlands and Dragonflight that were beloved by everyone and definitely didn’t cause infinite amount of coping and seething in RP community (but night elf fans should be happy they’re part of it, because , and )
every time a night elf female bobs in RP during idle animation an orc male should lose their chiropractor appointment and get hunched over again
great flaw, this reduces the night elf chances of appearing in intriguing orc fanart by some margin
I’m just sympathetic at this point. Liking Nelves must be a difficult thing ever since BfA.
Your wins are underwhelming while your losses are excessive.
Your lore is bastardized and even when you get an inkling of the vibe that once drew you in it gets curbstomped not even one patch later.
You can even get a whiff that Blizzard does resent Nelf fans too because despite the myriads of carrots dangled in front of them they never get a full bite.
Having an ironic laugh at them is fine and dandy but it’s justifiable to be frustrated that the things you like are being poorly handled and that isn’t something I would want even for playable races I dislike… Why wouldn’t you want everyone or at least as many people as possible to eat good?
