Hello there!
I created this Demon hunter character to try something new and see what horde RP is about. So far every guild I tried to join told me that they do not recruit DHs. Could anyone tell my why people don’t want DHs, or point me torwards a guild/group? I personally find the concept of soldier seeking new purpose after his fight is over interesting. Any help would be appreciated.
Could be for a variety of things, probably that IC they do not trust Demon Hunters in their guilds/orders, or an OOC reasoning that Demon Hunters do not fit the theme the guild tries to uphold.
Might be a more difficult time on that front, I don’t know many that would take a DH, your best bet is most likely to just keep searching and scroll through the forums too, usually a bunch of guilds to check on.
I know a good bunch of Blood Elves/Nightborne that take on Demon hunters.
Your muscles grow x3 bigger immediately when joining!
If you are up for becoming a felsworn the Shadowbane Coven might be your home.
Generally DHs will be elf guild only, dark caster guild only or some very loose concept guilds as they (we!) carry around the direct taint of the burning legion - this taint is rarely seen without mass death or tragedy following immediately behind it so most species are (rightfully!) very wary. Especially Orcs who have demonic enslavement in living memory. Blood Elves tend to be a bit more welcoming, particularly since a fair bit of their military was sun fury and therefore previously serving Illidan himself for a bit. Dark Casters (Legion/other cultist types) are also welcoming because the sheer power of a Demon Hunter makes for a good enforcer. Don’t expect to keep your sanity long though!
I love this image, can I screenshot it?
it do go hard
Thanks for all the tips and advice! I will look into them, or find more “friendly” concept until I get lay of the land on horde side of RP since I was purely ally RPer until now.
As Sheedai said, a lot of characters don’t trust Demon Hunters & don’t share the same vision.
They also generally do notfit into a lot of guilds, unless they’re elven focused; and even then it is likely you’re going to be treated poorly ICly.
It’s an interesting angle, sadly ruined by a large portion of them becoming bartenders in Stormwind.
Did it tho’?
I mean, sure Sargeras, his two right hands and the Eredar Council are gone… but the Legion as a whole is not
They have lost Argus’ quick respawn trick, but the Demons are still capable of regenerating, just it takes time, and the Legion as a whole is not gone
They controlled a large protion of the universe, and now those legions of demons with all the legion-tech, fel-armaments and Felhammer-like dimensional ships are without a boss
They either looking for a way to free Sargeras (something a DH would want to prevent) or they are out there doing what they done under Sargeras’ management, except without his and his lackies presence and “guidance”
Every Nathrezim (okay, they are maybe packed and left when Sire Denetharius called them) Annihilan, Imp mother, Shivarra and Eredar warlord now are “free” to do whatever they want to do … just with those lesser demons under their command and the thecnology and weapons, armies of the Legion, with their own little domains they established. Potential threats to Azeroth.
The fight is not over in my humble oppinion (even if you don’t go missions to other planets with the Felhammer and Matron Mother Malevolence’s portals, protection of Azeroth is the mission, seeking demonic infiltration, spies, beacheads, etc)
It just started!
The Dragon, what the Legion was, became a Hydra, not with one head (Sargeras) but with countless heads (Demonic warlords) and it is more dangerous than ever
Like Warlocks, Death Knights and Shadow Priests. As a DH you just need to find open minded people, accepting people, tolerant people, people who embrace diversity and hold no prejudice against those with different lifestyle choices.
You know, people who don’t mind having dark magic around as long its blowing up their enemies.
Yeah, I am aware that DHs are not most trustworthy or treated the best. That is why I wanted to try to RP one, since I tend to RP more social characters and want to try something new. I will keep looking for some place for him.
Yeah, perhaps I missspoke with “Fight is over” I meant more of a “It is no longer so direct” at least from my understanding. I don’t think Legion will launch straight out attack any time soon. And since as far as I know, we don’t have much info what happened to DHs after legion was defeated, I like to think that DHs while still one group ready to unite if need be, kind of split up to cover more ground so to speak.
My headcannon at least is that Bulk of their forces are indeed fighting the remnants of burning legion in twisting nether. Some are making sure Sargeras remains jailed and some are on Azeroth hunting infiltrators or other demons that are still around. I am open to being corrected if that is not the case and I missed some lore.
Don’t get me wrong, I not ment to force my version on you ^^’
For me it seems logical, the fight is not over, far from it
As for the Lore? I doubt there is any regarding the Demon Hunters after Legion
Wich is good, gives you freedom to RP a bit outside the norm
Or watch Warlocks like a hawk from the roofs of Stormwind
There’s one thing, actually. We see Tehd and Marus in Zuldazar, hunting down a demon (truly a shocker) hidden away in a cave. It’s just one of the random rares in the world, but it still nicely shows they’re going around and picking off stragglers.
Heh…
Hehe…
Hehehe…
Vision…
This is news to me, I thought I was in Duskwood
perhaps just maybe possibly i missed an ‘i’ in ‘marius’.
It’s your Demon Hunter persona twin.
Living two lives are we Marus?
