It’s really weird to collect those 12 gigs of evidence and meticulously go through the effort of cataloging if you refuse to use it to support your claim when pressed
It comes across as being paranoid but without being vindicated to justify doing it
Are they still going? I mean I own the patent for some of the munitions they made for us, but if not, I’ll need to find a new supplier sighs. And Goblins and ERP…Ugh… Still not as bad as Forsaken ERP I once encountered, or the Orc sweat Sapphic friends, but even so. I thought you just meant they had claimed one of the Gates IC
Must be the reason I get disconnected every 20 minutes. Damn you Brigante.
Not the point I wanted to make though, and I am unsure what point I wanted to make to begin with. Uhm…
Discord beef bad, people bad. Get along everyone and stop bad.
I wish I had anything that interesting on my internet explorer…I never get sent anything interesting, usually just Cat pictures or Brexit memes, although there was that one time when I had a Furry Stalker. That was not fun, and frankly the reason I hopped servers from Sha’tar to here, blocked her on Facebook and off my Btag…
As much as I love being the raconteur, that is not part of my repertoire, she was sharking me, and sending me unsolicited pictures of herself in her ‘costume’ or whatever they call it, with strategic holes cut out of certain locations (I am sure I do not need to draw a picture), now I’m fairly tolerant of other people’s Kinks, but she wouldn’t take no for an answer, and the worst was, her fella, for she was in a relationship, was in hospital with Leukaemia. I mean was she hedging her bets or something? Either way I noped the hell out of it.
Anyway, that derailed. Back to your normal programme of ‘Can Horde Play Nicely Together’.
I skimmed through this topic on my way to work and I have been giving some thought to the few posts I did read through properly. (I couldn’t get through them all. I hope you understand.) I can, at least, try to address the issue.
Safe to say I am biased to one side of the story as a Rotgarde officer, but I am not blind to understanding why either side feels hurt in some shape or form. That is not saying I agree with every accusation, point or thing done on either side of this spectacle, but there you have it.
At this point I could write a book about who has done what and what has been said where. Instead I will try to avoid that as best I can. At least here.
It would be wonderful if all of us could get along to do what we log on for at the end of the day - to play the game.
I am just not sure how realistic that feels any longer. There is a lot of pent up grief and that was made apparent to me the day I joined. It was shocking to see the things people would say to me and about me - simply over a new tag above my head.
A lot of my new members experience the same. Majority of them are new to the roster and are really just here roleplaying. Most of them do not partake in any of these OOC conflicts and I will be honest in saying it cuts deep to see them treated badly over drama I have to inform them even existed. Things they initially had no hand in.
We assume a lot about each other. Perhaps it is time to stop and think, and realise that there is a person behind every name you see, and that we are all different from one another. Even those wearing uniforms in-character.
I doubt either side will be able to clear out the swamp that has festered across all of these years.
I for one can not step in and act on drama that took place years back. Before I had even moved to this server, because I wouldn’t feel like I could even begin to try and give it fair judgement since I was not a part of the server back then.
I often see people preach about communication and how it is key, yet I feel it is very rare that I ever get the chance to address any issues at all. These things are almost never brought to me. So what I can do is to remind you that I exist, and that I’m very open for conversation.
I’ve not attended the Hallow’s End event Brigante has mentioned, but if all he said about people getting along and having fun together, then perhaps there’s still hope for such thing occurring more often? I mean, it’d be great and create opportunities for more of the large-scale RP events being organised.
Btw, say what you want about the PCU but somehow the IC interactions I’ve had with the members of their guilds were always great fun. Makes me a bit sceptical about all the “bad PCU kicks puppies and kittens” kinds of posts.
Most members of any community or guild generally want to just get on with their roleplay and fun without causing problems for others.
It’s very easy for others to see x members who they dislike for y reason and then attribute all the same qualities to everyone around them. Guilt by association.
Mhm. As a general rule most people are fine, no matter what group they belong to. The issues arise when group think within those groups kick in. And they kick in every group and every guild, it doesn’t matter the label.
Yeah, for sure. I’ve roleplayed with plenty of cool PCU people. Most of them seem to join the guilds they’re in because they like the theme and there’s interesting roleplay on offer - they’re not privy to the drama, and they don’t necessarily agree with X or Y thing a specific guild member said or did at some point that got someone else’s hackles up.
I think this has to do with how a typical PvP encounter plays out; Person who beats you thinks he is so amazing, and decides to parade around and belittle you as a human being because you happen to have lost to him.
Sure it’s not likely that people are like that in Roleplay, but… Well, you never know, the player behind that Orc Duelist might just be roleplaying his Orc Duelist as some boastful douche who gets off on beating people in duels.
And I think we can all agree it’s not fun to have someone behave like that.
