Why is standing dead in a capital city and dispelling people that run by a thing? Why are you able to see world buffs from ghost form? Why are world buffs even dispellable?
At this point, no serious raider considers world buffs optional. They are not “nice to have”. They increase your damage output by several hundred percent, and they even make most classes significantly more rewarding to play! And best of all, they reward raiders that put in the effort of getting them beforehand with the satisfaction of going Super-Sayian in the raid.
The anticipation of this is brought to a grinding halt when you hearthstone to your safe haven and is instantly denied of hours of work by someone ressing and dispelling your efforts. Why is this a thing?
I understand that world PVP is world PVP, and I am all for that. If you can kill me, you can have my buffs. But if I can kill you, you shouldnt get to touch them.
The way I see it, one or more of the following changes need to happen:
Make all world buffs undispellable.
Make people instantly drop PVP upon entering their own factions major cities.
Make buffs invisible to members of the opposing faction
Make all world buffs drop upon entering a raid instance
Player driven problem, use player driven solutions. Don’t cry to Blizzard, especially when they already provide you with a simple solution to your problem by transfering to PVE.
People seem to have a fun idea of what “PvP” is ^^
If people had the chance to fight whoever for thier WBs, Im sure they wouldnt mind. Be it one player or a raid. If a player shows up infront of them and tries to kill them, with the risk of dying himself or reward of killing the target, that would have been PvP and it would have been fun and incuraged people to play together and organize ganks/defends etc.
But I wouldnt call players in ghost form getting a cast off before instant-dying PvP.
Apperently PvP these days is 2 children destroying eachothers sand castles ^^
Ohforf’sake! Just hide somewhere for 5 minutes after you got your buffs so you pvp toggles goes off.
And if you lose your buffs is really not a big deal come on. I like hunting down dispellers/gankers in SW. The game needs more reasons to wpvp, not less.
Yeah, it’s pretty sad to see there are this much crybabies concerning WBs.
“boohoo my efforts are gone because pvp happened when I did not want it to happen on a pvp server, better write a heart-breaking post about my feelings”
Grow a backbone and delete your post.
Also World-buffs are not dispellable, DMT and Songflower aren’t WBs.
Point of pvp server is to grief people , best way to make them only work in world , like zone abilities in WoD , making world buffs being removed when you zone into a raid would make a game just a more better as you will have incetive to play your mains in the world , make zoning into a raid more relaxed and overall create more better enviroment for wpvp and give a certain buff to raid diff , it will still be easy and you might see more non optimal classes in the raids as the wbuffs make broken classes even more op
The main problem is that it is possible to see wbuffs even as a ghost because some addons can read them out. That enables players to scout as a ghost for people with wbuffs and snipe dispel them before people can react.
I doubt that this is intended behaviour as mages have the spell “Detect Magic” which should be required before anyone should be able to see buffs on enemy players. Otherwise that spell doesn’t make any sense.
I don’t get wbuff meta and think it’s plain stupid, but I also think that it’s an abuse of game mechanics and not an intended behavior that people can see enemy buffs without “Detect Magic” applied on them before. Just removing the possiblity to see enemy buffs without “Detect Magic” would resolve most of the problem and actually make it possible to react to such griefing. No one should be able to see enemy buffs without “Detect Magic”, period.
To be honest I would rather they just remove the buffs entirely.
some classes benefit from it alot more than others namely warriors and if the raid is too hard for you to clear it without world buffs then you don’t deserve to clear it.
Blizzard servers just cannot handle the amount of players who sit in stormwind or orgrimmar during peak times waiting for buffs it’s a bad system.
Mindcontrolling Priests on boats/zeppelins and people saping Dragon-buff NPC disagree with that, your, definition.
Destroying a players experience, with nothing on the line and no benefit to ones ingame progression (as example honor, gear, resources, rank, outdoor boss etc) with the main goal to ruin someones (to the dispellers unrelated) ingame experience and beeing toxic to the targeted player doesnt sound much like PvP (or sounds as much PvP as tricking somebody to give you their password and deleting their character)… But whatever keeps the dark voices away at night flys, for some people ^^
I dont mind, but I undestand people reacting on it. …
You still have no right to tell others how to PvP, there’s no “pure standards” of PvP rules. Take it or reroll on PvE and stop acting like a spoiled kid
