Do this or watch your game die in midnight (Not even kidding)

we are fundamentally different people.

i will judge something new after i have tested it myself, hands on.
just like i wont judge someone without first interacting with them
or
how i dont judge a book by its cover.

you can have all the experience in the world. but being hands on triumphs experience every time.

Yes we are. And for the record I do hope I am proven wrong on this and the game turns out fine. However past experience is on my side unfortunately. All I am asking for is a lifeline so IF they fail its not just game over for a lot of us.

What past experience though?
This is a completely new situation, essentially.

Blizzard not understanding the issue, Blizzard not implementing addons properly, Blizzard reacting to feedback and Blizzard forcing something that they dont completely comprehend due to their lack of community knowledge.

nahhh , legion artifacts / bfa neck grind / bfa daily grinds / bfa mechagon/nazjatar grind + essences / SL covenants ( the biggest one ) / SL PVP changes ( thats when i quit pvp for ever ) , mid patch class changes … the list goes on its a long one i cba writing all of them

its nothing new blizzard wanting to do something without being prepped for it or receiving massive negative reactions before they even begin .

if they had been working on this addon removal project for years and had like a very very impressive built in ui that allowed you to do alot , like Fellowship for example Fellowship is coming out in like 3 days the built in UI is fantastic ! it covers everything it already has many things that blizzard failed for years already built in aand working flawlessly … then i would have said yes ! its a good change now they can control the combat addons to they’re likings but no , thats not the situation here

Or maybe you’re just living in your own little world — up there on a fluffy cloud somewhere in the sky? Hellooo, this is RL calling :joy: I didn’t mean to upset you, sir, or make you feel attacked. So… one last question. It might just decide the fate of the entire multiverse…
Can I have all your gold before you leave?

They are right Blizzard have a track record of getting it wrong and or not listening to their players even blizzard admitted to that.

Im not dooming in anyway im just raising concerns and i hope blizzard can get things right but they need to put some effort in and listen to what their customers are saying
any replacements for add ons and ui upgrades should be well polished and they even have examples they can work from they need to get their replacements right and to atleast a match in standards to what they are removing.

I think it’s the other way around. Too many people don’t understand what is going to be happening exactly and jumping to the wrong conclusions.
If anything Blizzard can be blamed for their lack of transparency in this regard. I’ll give you that.

Any specific thing you’re talking about?

I’m confused. We want Blizzard reacting to feedback, right?
Or is this a ‘they didn’t say what I want, so it doesn’t count’ reaction?

That’s vague. How is that a past experience?

Completely, utterly different situations.
You can’t compare them with this. And if you do, you are at fault and have no clue what you’re talking about.

You can still voice your opinion of course; I’m not denying that.
But… It doesn’t really mean anything.

Just like when someone says they’re offended.
Okay. Sucks for you. That’s your issue. It has no meaning.

not really they are not any different you dont really get the concept behind them all … they may be different from a technical standpoint but the moral of the story is the same which is :

Blizzard wanting something -----------> players directly giving negative feeddback ---------> blizzard pushing back due to ego issues or maybe someone up high sends orders who knows dosnt matter at the eend --------------> consumer decline … thats how every market works thats basically how the world works its not limited to just this situation or this game or anything .

i can explain every single one of those situations for you base on timeline and in 1 specific case ( even blizzard eventually after resistance admitting they made a mistake ) and how they all follow the same pattern and direction and produce the same results … but im not going to since i sadly dont think you have the brain capacity to understand why this is a problem and its the same story repeating itself . but its ok it is what it is

We do, I worded that poorly. What I meant was Blizzard either do not react or do it waaaay to late.

Currently in the alpha their addon replacements are missing core functions. Midnight will lauch shortly after Remix is over sooo a bit over 100 days. In that time I do not see them implementing most of what needs to be implemented for the game to be stand alone. Another issue is their buff tracking, which non-existent all the while having specs that do rely on buff tracking in order to work even after their reworks. Mechanic yelegraphing is still very poor and the time required to fix that is way beyond those 100-ish days.

Sure, edit mode, rotation assistant and OBR, just to list recemt entries.

Covenants, Azerite etc.

im gonna end this thread/ discussion here.

  • At some point, if you’re not willing to test it yourself, you’re just arguing from the sidelines—and that’s not a position to demand changes from.

  • your feedback’s just guesswork dressed up as critique. If you’re not hands-on, you’re not in a position to speak with authority—just noise in the background.

now please go sign up for the Beta and provide unbiased feedback.

Are you on the alpha?

i dont think so but basically what hes hoping for is the same thing we do which is them figuring it out till beta and launch which we all know is not going to happen in 4-5 months , unless they have an entire office of 400 something ppl working on it which again we know they dont … it aint happening so COPIUM in short

no,
but i will be testing the PTR / Beta

Thing is: What some players want is actively harmful for the game.
So they SHOULDN’T budge. Because this IS a different situation than all those examples.

This is like someone setting fire to your house.
You tell them that it’s not okay and they should stop.
And they come back at you saying that you’re ruining their fun and that that’s not okay.

It’s crazy talk.

what players want is the only thing that matter … you just dont seem to understand how marketing works … blizzard is not the one in control the consumers are the players are !

blizzard is a company Delivering goods … just like any other company like mercedes benz / like ford like samsung sonny nvidia … there is 0 difference between any of them and the only group of people who are in charge of whats acceptable and whats not are the consumers …

if you make garbage which seems like whats blizzard is cooking in the kitchen no one will buy then you gonna have to revert those stupid changes you made ( they have done that multiple times in the past … ) to get your customers back … you just dont get it my friend low IQ sadly is something that cant be improved or fixed

Ok so you being optimistic about the changes or cheering from the sidelines is just as incorrect as us being sceptical/doomsaying about it. No I will not be playing the beta since it requires me to pre-order the epic edition, which I will not do for an expansion that I currently have no intention of playing. Might test it during pre-patch when open beta comrs on (if it even has an open beta this time).

Im in the same boat as you i dont think ill get access to the beta because im not buying midnight until i have seen what people have to say and i may even wait until after launch to decide whether or not ill keep playing the game but i do hope they can succeed but lets see.

If its like last time, pre-patch goes live the day after remix ends. So 100 days + 2 weeks-1 month.

Fair enough—
if you’re not planning to play or test the beta, that’s your choice. But that also means you’re working off secondhand info, just like those you’re criticizing for being optimistic. The difference is, people actually playing it—whether they love or hate the changes—are basing their opinions on experience, not speculation
