This is both obtuse and mean-spirited, and since I know you’re not mean-spirited, I’m going to spell out why it is obtuse.
Right now, in Dragonflight, I see about 20 WQ available, and we get that twice a week, so about 40 WQ per week. That’s our allowance of world quests.
Right now, in Broken Isles, I see about 40 WQ available, and those change on avereage about once a day, so in Legion, our allowance was about 280 WQ per week.
Right now, in Kul Tiras, I see about 40 WQ available, and those change on avereage about once a day, so in BfA, our allowance was about 280 WQ per week. (And that’s without counting Zandalar for Alliance, or Kul Tiras for Horde).
I’ve been saying that our endgame content has been cut by about 75%, but actually looking up the numbers shows that I was wrong; our endgame content has been cut by about 85%. We have less than a sixth of what we are used to having.
How would you like 85% of your content removed? Does an allowance of, say, one or two raid bosses or one or two dungeons per week sound good to you?
The reason it’s mean-spirited is that EVERYBODY relies on Blizzard to set them daily or weekly or event-based tasks. Dungeoneers don’t go around killing random dungeon bosses; they perform the tasks Blizzard sets for them, including keystone levels, timers, and strategising to maximise their weekly vault. This isn’t a sandbox MMO; it’s a theme park. We all pay Blizzard to develop the attractions, and design the reward system accordingly. Suggesting that there is a lesser class of players who uniquely rely on Blizzard to set them tasks is both false and insulting.
Now, it seems to me that Blizzard’s idea in cutting us down to less than a sixth of what we had before is that they are making up for it in mob grinds and events.
FAIL. EPIC FAIL.
But that’s a whole 'nother rant.
P.S And I didn’t even mention the removal of Callings …
