Dragonflight Talent Previews - Hunter and Rogue

This.

Although there’s a lot of cool stuff in this new rogue talent tree, I don’t think I’ll play rogue because of Slice and Dice. I’d also like to play Outlaw, but Roll the Bones is another really :poop: ability.

Please for god sake remove the covenant abilites from rogue tree it was so boring, people have been saying this since SL beta just remove it especially -Supercharged mechanic- it doesn’t fit the rogue and with the RNG from varies combat generation it leads to frustration. I do not want to think mid combat ((should i press one or 2 or generator)) especially in fast-paced spec like outlaw

Yeah, I also dislike the supercharged abilities, especially because there are so many rogue abilities that give you additional combo points, so you can’t easily plan out the next few button presses to hit the super-combo with 100% certainty.

Some abilities even give combo points randomly during combat without you pressing anything, so you might hit the right amount of points for the super-combo, your brain will say “cool, I can cash in on that big combo!”, hit your finisher, but fail to get the super-combo because you got +1 combo point from an auto-attack thanks to Shadow Techniques just before the game registered you pressing the finisher. Even if you have fast reactions and low lag, it can still happen, and that’s really annoying.

Yep.

Not touching rogue until it’s deleted again.

Can you elaborate more on this, please? Why do you find them interesting? What is interesting about them and what do you compare it to?

Yeah, it’s a shame. I was trying out all kinds of different specs on alts recently. Rogue has lots of cool stuff and I like their style, but unfortunately they also have a few really un-fun abilities, like SnD and RtB. And depending on talent tuning, rogues will have to get used to super-charge abilities in Dragonflight as well.

Why does it have you excited and can you elaborate on what you compare it to?

I already put my reasoning ina previous post.

I’ll comment on that post, but I will say here. They are poor arguments. Just because you feel you get freedom, doesn’t make it good, when you’re 90% less powerful than any other compariable talent tree.

I play MM. MM seems to look very good when compared to the current iteration of the spec.

What is it you find so bad with hunter tree prompting you to ask people who are looking at talent tree with a hint of positive energy?

Keep in mind we can only theory craft at this point since we do not have them available to play with.

MM hunters can get access to:

  • Pet stun (Finally!).
  • Chimera shot (This was a devastating shot back in the day, I have hope it might be again).
  • Wailing arrow can have great use in PvE and PvP if it works exactly how the tooltip suggests.
  • Legacy of the Windrunners can be quite a strong ST nuke talent for those who prefer ST damage.

MM doesn’t look good at all. There’s zero choice to be had in either the class tree (Which for some damn reason 80% of it refers to pets and traps, neither of which MM ever actually uses outside of very niche cases) and the spec tree, which has so much random unusable jank in it (See the entire right hand side middle portion which will never be taken by anyone ever).

Not to mention, they make us talent for lone wolf late in the tree. That makes no sense. Why even give the option to go pet MM by ignoring it… but not make any pet-based MM talents to make that an actual build?

It’s hard to believe this talent tree was made by the same company that produced DK and Priest trees.

I don’t like gnomes, but this shawty is speakin’ the truth.

Are you sure?

I can choose to ignore all AoE spells if I want and focus strictly on ST.

The 10% lone wolf damage I can do without as long as we get pet stun.

We can choose whether to be a turret or a turret with a pet for some extra effect.

Okay. I’m going to just lay this out for you. MM with pet isn’t and never will be a thing in DF. You say “Hahahaha pet stun yes this is what I want.” That’s okay. But please, don’t pretend you actually play MM and have any idea what you’re talking about.

You simply don’t. You’ve killed two bosses on normal in a carry run. You don’t “play” MM. You just afk in LFR and think pets are fun.

So, just because I don’t raid I have no idea?

By that logic since you have no rating in PvP this season you are unfit to say how useful pet stun will be there.¨

Don’t dismiss someone just because they don’t have a type of content done.

I’ve been a hunter main since 2006, so I feel like I should be allowed to speak without you jumping to conclusions. Thanks.

You’re right. I don’t play that dead game mode. But I also don’t pretend to know anything about it, unlike you.

PvE is 90% of the game. Your choices aren’t good and shouldn’t even be there because they will never be picked for PvE.

Exactly when did I specify I was talking about a certain game mode?

You literally bring up legacy of the windrunners for ST… which newsflash, is so abysmally bad it’ll not be taken, and wailing arrow which again, outside of very very niche uses will never be used.

You bring up PvE all the time despite having literally no experience with it at all. Stay in your lane.

Oh dear

I have a choice here! I choose to say:

No.

I have the right to speak here as does anyone who play the game. If I want to speak about PvE (which I do have experience in, shocking I know), or PvP I will do so as nothing is stopping me from it.

Share your proof to say that the numbers are bad and how you know this before anyone else.

You really don’t. I literally looked at your history. You’ve never done anything of note. Stay in your lane. Stick to the dead game mode.
