If one race of azeroth would invent way to make something so mundane like coffee but so efficiently that it would sap the entire island out of power as they hooked their coffee making device to some wild generator that blackout entire neighbourhood, goblins would probably be behind it.
Nothing done for reasons like being pragmatic, just full speed and no brakes with them and not worry about thinking further than right now. Literally little bundles of green chaos and greed
Tend to agree with ‘it needs more open planned zones’.
I still wouldn’t use it because honestly I just don’t enjoy the feature for whatever reason, but it’s a shame those that do are forced to use it in a zone that doesn’t really let it shine.
I find it funny how they nerfed dragonriding speed because non-dragon isles zones “aren’t suited for it” but then they made these drift cars go at a ridiculous speeds in a mega cluttered zone that DEFINITELY isn’t ideal for them.
Exactly. I was surprised myself not to find a proper track for this new car. Quite an oversight on their part. I could go take it out in Dong… whatever, the surface area. But you can’t take it out of the zone. So yeah, they should think about adding an instance or a sector where you can really see what that car can do.
That would be more sensible. Nobody let’s their kid learn to drive in a Ferarri (even if they have a Ferarri).
But Bliz do this so often, give us a horrible version of something and then make us earn a better version later.
Anima grind was like this. So our first impression of the feature is tainted from the get go.
And as they say, you only get once chance at a First Impression.
The D.R.I.V.E. system’s car quests suffer from a critical navigation flaw.
The current green arrow system, designed to guide players to their destination, prioritises directness over practicality. This often results in players being directed through buildings, water, and hazardous terrain, which is both unrealistic and frustrating.
This system also prevents players from learning the map’s layout and properly utilising drifting techniques. A more effective solution would be to implement a navigational system that guides players along existing roadways.
This would promote a more realistic driving experience, reduce collisions, and enhance map familiarity. While this change alone won’t solve all of D.R.I.V.E.'s problems, it represents a necessary step towards improving the system’s overall functionality.
I have to agree with most of the negative points brought up so far but what i had the most problems with is that the camera turns with your car turning which is fine when dragonriding but i find it annoying while driving, jumping and drifting being on the same key is also bad.
I feel that having the controll all under keyboard would be somewhat effective while the camera is unattached to the car turning.
Usually, i navigate with my right mouse button but on this car, turning around is so slow it’s painful; it looks like they intentionally made the car with a large turning circle only to justify the existence of the drift capability which feels great in open spaces and on the main road where you can full throttle around but it’s a nightmare in close spaces and back alleys of which undermine is full
Does anyone knows if there is an option to stop camera from turning with car? Or prevent right click from moving the car?
Would be nice to have different D.R.I.V.E body kits. I’m not too fussed on having passengers, so would much appreciate a much smaller, 1 seater kart where I would be less likely to slam into things.
I think it could definitely be a fun mode of transport, but the current iteration is way too janky that it’s becoming really tedious to use.
Things I would love to see:
Different body kits (as mentioned)
More customisation (Different race themes incorporated)
Different binds for Jump and Drift (allow remapping for all)
