Dungeon finder we need

There is a huge downside, one that is very widely seen in retail today. Because of anonymity and reduction of social interaction people are silent in groups, and if they do talk it is mostly negative. People can be as selfish as they want because it’s dungeon finder and it “doesn’t matter”. LFG whilst a useful tool goes against some of the core principles that vanilla/classic is all about, which is social interaction.

In classic at least to my experience, making a group encourages people to talk, work together and therefore forge a sense of camaraderie. I’ve made lots of friends that I’ve come back to many times to run dungeons. People who act like “LFG heroes” very often don’t get invited back to groups and get a bad rep.

Looking for players is part of the fundamentals of “old skool” mmos, and is one that we shouldn’t touch. If you can’t be bothered to spend 5-10 mins searching for people in a channel and interacting with other people then I’m afraid classic isn’t for you.

Maybe you’d be better off playing retail if you want instant gratification groups. I don’t want to fob you off with such a diluted and overused argument, but it’s honestly the best reply for what you want. Adding LFG would change the game significantly to the point where it is not classic anymore, it would not add “progress” it would hinder the whole point of classic which is taking it back to it’s roots.

Here, Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a rare specimen of “Retail Player tried Classic but burned out before lvl 20”, this creature spends it’s time trolling the forums because it offers him infinitely more fun than playing retail.

“aren’t we all tired of-” NO FK OFF.

Do a pve “pvp” - epic
Q for LFR - epic
Random nonsense - epic
If you can’t cope with the fact that retail is a welfare state that’s your problem not mine.

Im confused what server your on because I’ve never had to pug raids or really had any issues looking for any role for any dungeon unless its past midnight which is to be expected.

All it seems like is that you’ve joined a server that is either dead horde side wise or your looking in the wrong place.

I know the common mistake is that players on private servers used /global or /world but that just isn’t used on classic and the preferred channel is /lookingforgroup so try there.

Also the creator of dungeon finder themselves said it was one of the worst mistakes they ever made to WoW so don’t count on them adding into classic.

= AV in classic.

Harder than anything in Classic from raiding.

I guess random world drops maybe which are extremely rare ?

And with your PvE and PvP history you should be quiet.

Retail is not hard. the hardest difficulty raiding is not hard if you have a brain.

No we don’t need anything like that, absolutely not. If anything we need a few low population servers to be merged so that there is more people to answer the LFG calls

first time i ever heard that, gona check

What did you think the meeting stones and the level requirements on them were for?

lol no what a suggestion XD

O just stop making a fool of yourself. You don’t get a free epic from joining ONE AV. If you don’t like classic what are you doing here anyway? Stick to retail and don’t go around talking nonsense. During Legion people where farming LEGENDARY drops.

Myself too I saw it in someone’s video but not sure how it work but if anything closer to whqt I said (not fully automized beside it dont tp you to the dungeon).

Nah no one is sick from making groups. Go to retail to do that you’re obviously a troll.

If this ever were to be implemented it shouldnt be as an auto matchmaker function but like the lfg board for mythics on retail. and it should be server restricted aswell.

This way u you dont ruin the communication too much between players but still gives you a conveniet way to put ur groupe out there.

im not for any changes to the game except blizzards effort to punish botters!

Btw you click the button only for the trashiest content thats on par with classic in difficulty.

For anything else you list your group and filter out the baddies.

Vanilla got changes. It’s called TBC, Wotlk and so on. Whatever change people want will come if they ever release the other expansions as a ‘classic’.
The current classic is based on vanilla, therefore it should be like this.
Imagine if people in TBC cried out for removing shaman from alliance, pala for horde as a change or another change that would change the game.

Yes a dungeon finder would be make classic vanilla easier, but it was not a part of it and should therefore not be added. We have a LFG system in channels, worked good back in 04/05 and works well now.

Easier? That even possible?

It only works cuz content is braindead easy and 40 man raids are tunned for monkeys.

Of course it would be easier if you spend 10 seconds getting a group versus 10-30 minutes. I never referred to the content it self getting easier. That was your own assumption.

Not making groups, FINDING groups, honestly it’s not fun if you have 6 hours playtime a day and 4 hours you’re spending in LFG to have a 2 hour dungeon, only for someone to leave and spend an hour again to fill that last spot.

This varies by server population and in particular comparing leveling dungeons vs max level dungeons, but I’m all for implementing something better than spamming LFG for 4 consecutive hours and landing on the ignore list of people you randomly whisper to see if they’re interested.

I think group finder, not the dungeon tool with auto-teleport and matchmaking, the group finder in retail would work great. In the same way you can list yourself for doing a mythic dungeon but you still need to message others and form a group and travel towards the dungeon.

Essentially a universal bulletin board that works better than trade spam.
