It gets pretty tiresome with all the “we need this, we need that” nonsense. There’s a difference between needing and wanting. The features not in classic couldn’t have been made any more clear. There’s a huge amount of things that were added to retail that I’ve enjoyed and benefitted from over the years but I still prefer classic as it is and I very much consider myself to be a comparitavely casual player.

I can say honestly that i would not mind an interface much like the current in retail, where you can manually list groups for mythic dungeons, raids, quests custom groups and all that jazz. Manually list and manually accepting applications to your group would work great for classic tbh. There are already different addons that parse the /LFG channel and sorts it into a more convenient UI.
If the act of setting up the group, joining the group and traveling to the location is preserved and still require the players to interact, i do think a UI for listing groups could work well.
We just dont want numbing mindless auto matchmaking, but at the same time, its getting pretty old having to parse a channel to find a group.
Its not so much about #nochanges, but more about #preserveclassicspirit in my world.

You basically dont want classic
No dungeon finder, no barbershop, no race change, no to anything that was no in vanilla and is not an absolutely need change to protect the game for cheating and abuse. You and everyone else knew what classic was when you signed up. If you don’t like it go to retail where you get ALL the features you want and you get free epics just for logging in.
This topic is getting old. Every week or so someone is crying about features that where never promised and in fact part of the deal was that they will NOT be in the game. Yes classic is not Vanilla but the point is for it to be as close as possible to it. And if you think you have issues with getting a group try to play Alliance.
Now classic up or go home.

The hardship of finding groups sometimes is a part of Classic/Vanilla.
You can always go back to retail.
They did, then it got disabled by activision at early launch because it was ‘against the spirit of vanilla’, it needed a channel to work or something.
Then those same people started making changes on pretty much everything else people whined over in PvP, from griefing on boats, to wsg portal and av queue system. But hey, let’s pretend this is still ‘vanilla’.
I play a game because I find it relaxing, fun and entertaining. I play classic because I like the old school rpg feeling and things that come with it, not because it’s a 100% carbon copy of a game released in 2004. I like changes that improve the game, whether a change is an improvement or not is up for debate, but saying every change must be stopped because it’s not ‘vanilla’ doesn’t sound like solid reasoning. There are players who want changes and players who don’t.
I hope that at some point in the future they open new servers with QoL, and just like pvp, pve, rppvp and rppve, they will open a + server. That has things like dungeon finder, race change, barbershop, name change etc, I think there are enough players to support such a server and should make most people happy.

Ye the same on my server but it s mostly people leveling alts… that have experienced all thos dungeons on main/another alt and now they just want to hit 60 asap… for example we have few people in guild that choose to reroll some classes in order so we can build “better” raid team… they just want to level up asap and do end game… an noone can blame them… i bet there are many people like that… and many that just want lv60 alt to have fun with
Dungeon finder wasnt in Vanilla so therefore it shouldnt be in Classic.
If you want dungeon finder then go play retail
It already was in Vanilla, it’s just used for PVP and not for PvE.
How is talking to a Warmaster in any major city, landing in a wait queue, eventually clicking the accept button, being teleported to a battleground and automatically placed into a group any different from a Dungeon Finder?
If that’s socially acceptable for people, what makes a dungeon finder any different? And don’t tell me “BecuZ It WaSn’t in VaNilla”

There is a game called Battle For Azeroth that does have these things though. Feel free to play!

Many people would like some changes. You want vanilla? Go play private server, this is Classic.

I use the chat channel to find groups, it’s easy. So easy that I get groups everyday just by asking for one and it doesn’t even take long.
Anyone that NEEDS an interface is just lazy or incapable.
