Dungeon's are TOXIC

Yes, so if i jump over a fence you should do it. What communication are you expecting?

“Hey you? Come, jump over this fence exactly like i did?”

“Hey you, see? I just walked past this pack, please be careful and do the same?”

What the actual communication is that? What are you expacting? Can’t you literally watch what the tank is doing?

Are we literally expecting communication over this? Are you really in need of such a guidance?

Yes i did, i did by telling a lot of things before they happen and people screw up anyway. So stop assuing :poop: because if you think that saying something will change the outcome with some people is totally delusiona.

“Please do not move if you have a flaming circle around you” - “BOOM”

“Please do not use the third wheel randomly and wait” - VRROOOOM

“Please come closer to us or you risk going into combat” - Happens

In a Magister Terrace i was LoS the mob behind a wall and there was 1 clown that kept staying out and was stopping mobs from coming behind the pillar, i wrote “hide” few times then instead of taunting i left him to die. And he had the audacity to be like “oH nOt eVrYoNe rEaD yOu cOuLd hAvE tAuNtEd” yes, i could have taunted and you would not have learned, now you know the drill.

So literally, spare me this rethoric that talking helps because it does not.

Apparently this works only for the tank and not for the 3 dps which most of the time are silent pretending to know, when they know nothing .

Apparently.

There’s a reason why pug tanks are rare these days, and this is it. People need to stop crying about that, since esp. beginning tanks are simply being demotivated  .

I always cab to care what they say, I mean, it’s not like I would join a high key with 0 knowledge, but give people a chance at low keys. To learn!

I was doing 1 dungeon, and I didn’t do a lot since I do my first playthrough through all quests (sidequests included) . There was actually a skip the tank expected me to know, it was like 2 days after release.

Those people are sick in their head lol, I left group, cba to finish it with a group like that.

Tbh took me 1 run on each dungeon to get almost all the skips, the only one I didn’t knew was the fence one.

Is not hard to get them if you have some experience, I play as tank since 2009

Yep… whenever I did Workshop last season with a bear, they’d ask all of us to stand back so they can solo the first pack of robots. People just kept dying to them, but bears had a very easy time. :smiling_face_with_tear:

You should see now, we got 2 times more self-healing

Since each moonfire heals you for 30% of damage done.

Yeah I’m sure it’s not hard, but the tank’s attitude was toxic, so I left

As famously quoted by Dr Gregory House,

“People are idiots.”

There always have been more skips in normal/heroic than in M+. Simply because in M+ you need count. Do i need to start about the route people used in for example Plaguefall in the leveling version of the dungeon?

Honestly, I have the strong feeling, they planned the dungeon like this on purpose. They very well knew what it would cause. Similar disaster in Azure Vault.

Not sure what it is with you and your fence all the time. There is a wide range of other scenarios we’re talking about here. But given that there can always be a new or inexperienced player in your group, yes. And in ideal, don’t say it when you’ve jumped over your beloved fence already. (lol)

“Hey, I’m going to take this route and jump over the fence at point x”

Won’t kill you. There are also marks to highlight risky mobs for group members btw.

Me? Was it me in your group? No it wasn’t. But your tactics apparently failed to a point where it wiped the group, so it’s either not the best / safest tactic or you failed to communicate it properly. That’s it.

I’ve lead plenty of raids, my dear. And the difference between failing halfways with group dissolving and actually completing the raid in many cases IS talking. Dungeons aren’t different. Yes, you’ll always have some players who screw up. Everyone does every now and then. And I’m pretty sure, you’re not perfect either. So stop acting like you would be. A team can only work if they work together. I never said tanks are the only one’s who should communicate. But if it’s your route, which you didn’t communicate and it fails, you can’t blame others for not knowing what you were up to. No one can read your mind. So speak it.

Talking? Back to the original problem of these dungeons you havn’t even got time to say HELLO before the tank has pulled all the trash up to the first boss.

Then you need to install the game on an SSD instead of your normal HDD.
I runned yesterday 3 dungeons, in all of them i had plenty of time to say “good evening”. And got 3 times response too.

Or just assign someone to watch out for the fear on the one mobs that can cast it. It can be interrupted, there’s no reason to overcomplicate your route because of one spell that, frankly, isn’t even high on the mob’s priority list anyway. 9 out of 10 times they’ll whirlwind like a madman first and only when they’re done with everything else will they cackle.

If you know a couple of chill people, joining their guild will definitely help. Having an actual community rather than random people will help against toxicity because there is more of a connection than between complete strangers.

And after skipping through the first half of the video, just a couple of tips. Please don’t take this as me being a donkey, but there are some things I have noticed where you could improve a bit.

  • First is the overuse of group heals when not enough people have taken damage. Your group heal spells are either very costly (Essence cost) or have a long cooldown (Spiritbloom, Dream Breath). Try to save them for situations where you know you’ll need them
  • Speaking of overusing, you prioritise Emerald Blossom way too much. Honestly, for 5 man content it’s a bit of a poopoo spell. It has a very narrow radius and costs a lot of Essence to just waste it on a single person. If only two people are hurt, Living Flame and an Echo will usually be much more efficient use of your Essence.
  • If you use Verdant Embrace, try to already have a follow-up spell in mind. With Call of Ysera your Dream Breath and Living Flame get empowered by a lot. Don’t just randomly jump to people because it’s off cooldown, use its synergies.
E.g. if you know there will be heavy group damage: (Stasis) → Verdant Embrace → level one Dream Breath → (Tip the Scales) fully empowered Spiritbloom. That’ll heal a LOT for the entire group and with Stasis you’ll have another round of this at the ready if more damage is coming up
  • Try to get more comfortable with Echo usage. You seem to blow most of your Essence on Emerald Blossom, IMO you should use it more for Echo. It is an insanely powerful spell for cleave healing.
  • You don’t seem to use Reversion at all. There are a lot of nice little synergies. You can spread Reversion on the entire group with Echo. The Reversion you get from Echo is a separate spell entirely, so if you Echo + Reversion the tank (or anyone else being hit hard) they’ll have 2 HoTs ticking at the same time. Might be outdated, but if you spec into Grace Period, the healing bonus gets doubled if the target has both Reversions (actual Reversion + Echo copy) active. For high intensity tank healing this will be helpful.
  • Other than that, your positioning could use some work. DPS players usually just stand wherever they want, they will never adapt to where you need them to be. And as Evoker you should position yourself in a way that you have almost all people inside your Dream Breath cone range at any given time.

Anyways, I hope you’ll find some people you enjoy playing with. The PUG meat grinder can be a harrowing experience, especially for tanks and healers. There are a tonne of genuinely nice people out there though, don’t lose hope

ALl that can be avoided by simple interupt

Your post triggered me  Not because of you, but you reminded me of those kazzakish players I would like to perma ban for tryharding and forcing everyone into rushing through dungeons. This behaviour should really be bannable.
Oh, in your case they were tanks. In my situation I was the tank and dps kept pulling stuff for me.

OK? and interupting a spell cast is a DF feature?

Yes and as i said multiple times, i do expect people to explain more complex scenarios, but if i have to literally walk in a way and avoid something what there is to explain?

“Avoid a patrol?”

Random assumption.

And i said that i actually do say thing when i fear them happening beforehand, but usually people do not listen. Even if i preciously comunicated before it happens, but hey.

This is all in your head, honestly to somehow “win” the argument. I do not claim to be perfect, i just do not shift the blame on others when i screw up, unlike you do.

Entire discussion with me started about a fear going off in brackenhide after tank skipped being “tank fault” in your mind. So again, going back to it. Can you explain to me what tank should communicate to you before dungeon start?

“Please put kick button on your bar and use it or you might get feared into 32423 packs and blame me?”

For normal dungeons a cast that needs to be interrupted is an exception. Usually nothing got interrupted in leveling dungeons, or on random heroics on max level.

Ye i know that
I did lvl 2 characters to 70 lvl i’ve seen my share
But then the same poeple cry about game being unfair and tanks pulling to much.
All that can be literally outplayed by Interupting/stuning or a ancient mechanic called LoS.

I understand if there is a player in dungeon that play for the first time
i get it he doesn’t know but that’s rare.
Most of these DEMONS runing around in dungeons are people that play wow for over a decade and they still can’t read and press correct buttons even tho this game since cataclysm is the same stuff all over again.

For now I agree with this, because these dungeons just opened a week ago

It will be easier a few months into the expansion.

I would say good tips but you’ve overlooked a critical factor which invalidates everything you suggested. I’m playing with an Xbox controller using an AOE none-target healing build
