Early Access for an AAA game is unacceptable

Season 1 starts the 10th son. Youre gonna be alright.

Lets not pretend it isnt bad practice by blizzard. Early acces shouldnt be a thing. Regardless of brokies having meltdown or not.

Early Acess is something that has been going on in the gaming industry for quite some time, it was/is just a matter of time until every big company will jump onto that boat.
Stop being shookett about things like that.
It’s not bad practice, it’s the route the industry is taking.

The basic edition were near 50 euros, dont know how much anything else would had cost but just didnt see it nessecary to pay more to play few days earlier as I dont need anything else than the expansion. And my real content in the expansions starts at 10.9 with the season 1 anyway, there is no reason why would I pay more than the basic edition on this case.

So because everyone is doing it it cant be a bad practice?

C’mon, we’ve got far worse problems on this planet of big companies doing crap across an industry where we should finger point at them letting them know it’s bad practice what they’re doing.
But an early access for a game? No, that’s really nothing worth complaining about.

I bought it, im not complaining about it. But i can still see its a bad direction to go in.

Season begins later in september, if some want get few days headstart to the nonseasonal content of the expansion its not away from me. Everyone can do whatever they want to do and I dont care aslong I dont suffer from it. They gain no advantage over me from playing nonseasonal content before the season so its whatever :dracthyr_shrug:

Good catch, fixed it thanks. I knew its around 10.9, dunno if this is 10.9 or 11.9 for eu now tho but still some time left till can start playing rated.

I mean if people wanna take the trap let them, their choice. i am good playing wukong the black myth till then

If you are not happy, then make a point of dropping your subscription before the next expansion comes out. I was caught out with the sales pitches regarding adding a sub for a full year rather than six months. That is never going happen again.
I am paying for a subscription where a majority of the player base will be in another game. An early access fee is something that I would never pay no matter what comes with it. From my POV it is nothing more than nickel and diming your customer base. Even more so with a subscription based service.

Well this I can agree on, was kinda unhappy that they end season month earlier sort of. We had 7 weeks or so of no season to play but paying full sub anyway kinda felt strange when my content is in the season that they dont provide for over months time. I could had voted with my wallet and also unsub for month, but I figured I can just play the modes as nonrated for month which they now closed aswell so its skirmish and random bgs left for next 3 weeks ahead which neither represent the modes were about to play for content in tww when the season begins :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

I think they could had done the launch of this expansion a bit better from pvp point of view. Probably from m+ aswell but I cant speak for them.

And this boys and girls and everybody in between is how to approach these things.
If you do not want to buy the early acces then don’t and play something else until the other launch.

The entire point of the WoW forums is to discuss trivial things like the computer game known as World of Warcraft.

Bananas how hard it is for people to accept that Blizzard is a greedy company. I mean at this point, the company has not even been able to release a new good game in ages. Why even go to these ridiculous lengths to defend them? They dont deserve it.

No it isnt. Again people have to come up with these bizarre rationalizations. Early access sucks because early access sucks. Especially in an MMORPG where a big part of new expansion launches has always been the wild and chaotic first 48 hours of a new release.

Even if I paid the extra money, the truth is the experience would be less special because half the playerbase wont be there, and it would make the experience less epic. Half the guildies just not being online to experience this new launch SUCKS. Conversely for those not paying, you cant play the launch, and now gotta experience a pseudo launch with people already being ahead.

How is this so hard to understand, does everyone here play this game like a solo game? Also have you guys never played expansion launches before?

Having played this game since the beta, and even stuff like Classic WoW launch, it honestly hs never mattered how laggy or broken the game has been. Launches have always been special occasions that only take place every 2 years. Blizzard have now made this rare occurrence in the World of Warcraft worse.

BUT IM SURE YOU DO.
CHECK THE HISTORY OF OUR TOPICS.  :joy:

Another one see’s the light :). Problem of pre-pay and it will only get worse as the try to see how far they can go. No pay and they got to work for your dosh.

It can, I completely agree, but companies will continue with these practices for as long as people buy them. The only way to stop these practices, is to stop buying them.

If out of 1000 people, 995 people pay for it, and 5 do not - the practice will continue.

I’m part of the 995 that paid for it, because I didn’t mind. But, truth to be told, if the deluxe edition didn’t come with early access, I wouldn’t have minded either.
