Blizzard have let us down with this. More and more I’m shown how little they care and how much they want to benefit financially from our goodwill. They’re scamming us at this point.

So if you buy a car and are told its ready to drive and then when delivered you get your tires 2 weeks later and FU would you be happy about that?
I would say " 
happens" and just wait because it is just a delay. Public transportation exists too, you know?
And again, the example is HEAVY FLAWED because a car without all 4 tires attached CAN’T BE TRANSPORTED TO YOU! 
Oh yea well good luck with that if you would live little bit farther from city like i do. If i had car delivered like that there would be hell to pay.
Oh yes you can there is these things called trucks that can haul cars on truck bed even without tires…

During my job education, I had to ride my bike to the next town for 30 minutes each (so 1h in total to get there and back).
That was back in 2019, just so you know I’m not a boomer saying “stop complaining, life is hard for everyone”.
And those are hella expensive and most car deliveries wouldn’t even bother to pay for such things if cars can simply be driven/rolled on and off the rails of transportation vehicles.
In any case, I won’t continue this argument. I have a grind to do. Arguing here won’t get me my transmogs.
Hopefully the fact threads have been merged it means someone at blizzard has taken some form of note about this.

I was livid when I discovered it yesterday. I just want to be an earthern paladin, and the fact it literally was a selling point, and was said to available in EA.
Not that I’m a lawyer, but isn’t that kinda illegal? False advertisement and swindling people out of money for bonuses that don’t exist?

In their post about TWW Early Access and the roadmap, Blizz pinned Earthen as unlockable/playable (“Play as the new titanforged allied race upon completion of the war within campaign”). Filed promptly under the banner of “early access” with all the other features that are available (hero talents, delves etc), and yet neither the war campaign nor the earthen themselves are apparently unlockable in early access right now.
I don’t know why Blizzard would put this roadmap out except maybe to trick people like me that they’d be able to unlock earthen during early access and then have the chance to main one with their non-EA friends when the launch proper comes. That’s the main reason I bought EA, and yet I had to wait until WoWhead updated a post TODAY to find out that Blizz was just hiding the fact that they can’t be unlocked until EA went live…

and you are sure you have completed the requirements for it?
Yes, the issue is that the max level campaign is required, and it locks at a quest where you’re stuck waiting for Alleria forever, meaning you can’t complete the campaign portion of the unlock achievement.
Why Blizzard thought it was a good idea to say you only need to do the level-up campaign (and their 3 questlines) I’ll never understand, it even tells you in-game after you complete the level-up campaign too.

saaaame I was SO frustrated to find this out after I hit lvl 80. I speedruned the whole campaign to create an Earthen and then enjoy all the story and side quest in a slow mod… just to find out that I have to wait to the full launch

Same. Wanted to make shaman and level at my own pace after.
For others no, you can’t unlock them in EA. Requirements is, level 80 character, all reputation on 4 level, finish couple of side stories and finish main campaign. And you can do everything except main campaign. You just need to “wait for Windrunner to call you”. I hope its not timegated in the end, if after that we need to wait for couple of weeks more, just disgusting

Yes it is. They could have just said there would be a timegate in the campaign and they would not be unlocked immediately. Hopefully, they will in future. That’s all.
To say you expected the timegate is fine and all. However, there’s as much evidence for it as there was for believing there would be no timegate. None (as much as people want to claim blizz lied.) They could have easily prevented any of this by just saying Earthen would be unlockable a week after launch.

But lets be real since WoD the campaign has always been time gated so why do any of you expect it open day 1?

First off, was Dragonflight’s campaign timegated? They had a side questline that was timegated with Tyr and the catalyst but that was just gear. I’m p sure the max level story campaign quests around the Mother Oathstone weren’t timegated. Given that’s the most recent example and the template for patch cadence it’s probably most important.
Forget what Ion said. It’s not a dunk. “just complete the campaign fully, no rep to grind or anything like that” doesn’t alone state: “just wait a week”.
But, brother, let’s get back to that link I posted. So, we get 2 important dates here. It’s a nice graphic as well.
26th of August, Global Launch. 10th of September, Season 1 begins. Now, let’s use your oh so fondly used timegating of previous campaigns example:
Most previous timegated campaigns were timegated across multiple weeks. Here, we can clearly see that there will be 2 weeks between launch and season start. Earthen being PLAYABLE is clearly within the Early Access/Season Launch collection of features before season 1. Which gives a fair case that, given previous timegates were multiple weeks and Earthen are soundly with every other feature there at release, that they may well be unlockable and playable at release.
Furthermore, see how cool that roadmap graphic is? I like how they split the different timelines. Would it have been so hard to just flip the Earthen part and have it vertical but within the Launch part but before Season 1? Showing that it comes 1 week between launch and season 2 starting?
Final point: You and everyone else arguing this are just wasting breath. You’re arguing against simple reality bro. So many people with misaligned expectations is a failure of communication. You can make whatever fancy arguments you like or quibble over interpreting what Ion said at Blizzcon. Doesn’t matter. People wouldn’t be so confused if it was communicated better. Let Blizz just take the L, improve, do better next time. It’s chill.
