There is a very easy solution to the black lotus mafia/botting problem.
Just make the herb drop from the high level herbs (Icecap/ Plaguebloom/ Mountain Silversage and/or Dreamfoil) with a small drop chance, similar to “Swiftthistle” and “bloodvine” way of herbing.
Actually good idea, i do not have herbal, so i dont know how much are the other herbs avaiable in open world.
But there are some instanced herbs. It should not be applied to them.
If you are not takning, the solution is not to use flasks
There is an easier solution, but people will never do that.
Solution: Stop buying and consuming Black Lotuses, because they’re not even that useful. They’re not required to do any content in Classic, so just stop buying them. All of you. And the prices will drop, because there will be no demand… Just like there should be 0 demand for something completely optional.
Breaking News: Flasks in retail wow now cheaper than WoW Classic Flasks.
There is no black lotus problem.
Flasks are a luxury item for min-maxers and top dps parsing tryhards. And it is perfectly fine. I just did aoe farming with for 4 days for a few hours and bought 10 flasks with the money I made.
1 black lotus is about 180g currently on my realm and that is 1 hour of work for a mage. Easy life, all good.
I know how it is, it’s better to be taking part in the meta but this game is temporary. This super hardcore experience people are taking with this content will end with Classic.
The option of going hard all the way til the end exists, there’s still the option to try and maintain your resources until later and there’s the option of playing not so seriously at all.
The worst thing that could happen is that the game is looked back on and it not being so clear as to how the game even was. Like vanilla again. This is the game, it should be accepted as is.
Casual play will become more the norm when vanilla returns to a less mainstream setting.
Will not have proper chance for that.
TbC is coming.
They are required for casters if you want to parse, many people only play to compete with others.
Thanks for the information. We’ll be with you shortly.
Well it’s not a requirement, I didn’t flask up for last 2 weeks and still parsed 95+ on all bosses as a mage.
It is only needed if you are after 99+ parses and that is if you want to be that high on the parses, its not surprising that you spend 200g for the flask. It is the price of being a super top dog.
Well, if you want to parse 99+ you just need to farm Black Lotus or golds to buy it.
It’s Classic, it’s all about investissement -> reward especially on thing like this.
Black lotus are a luxury not something YOU MUST HAVE every raids.
The only issue with Black Lotus are the players ghost camping them. They should fix this. Nothing else.
u can get 95 parses with no world buffs. anything less than 99 is pretty meaningless.
Then you do 2 hours of farming and buy a flask, what’s the big deal?
They are not required. They are just an option. And they will be forgotten when TBC comes along. That is how unimportant they actually are.
What is important is to have at least decent gear. What is important is to know the rotation. What is important is to know the phases on the bosses. Heck, even some Addons are more important than flasks.
read the post i initially replied to
Nah, I would rather do another ZG run and buy another flask.
yes they are as optional as playing the game. if u main a caster and primarily play the game for pve it’s essential. a lot of people flask to feel useful in a raid. tbc is the worst expansion they’ve ever made btw.
World buffs and consumables are more important than gear. I agree that addons can be more important with how lacking the classic UI is (no cast bars) and how important threat meters and boss timers are.
I’m curious what you were thinking when you want people to stop buying something that is Clearly in demand, black lotus are in demand for zg class trinkets and anyone that plays wow for competitive reasons, might not apply to people playing pve/rp realms just for social interactions they miss out on irl
then they need to git gud. a flask won’t help them.
Yeah, ok. We all know, that you’re objectively wrong. Because the number of TBC subs > the number of classic subs. We have that data. But you can hold your opinion, ofc. Also, how TBC is worse than Pandas or WoD is beyond me.
knows that the Free Action Potion and/or Living Action Potion are way more important than flasks. Because they compete with others and need to avoid/escape stuns/sleep.
inb4, also: Noggenfogger Elixir
Easy way; ban them
casters are below hunters with and without flasks until naxx. same goes for anyone playing hybrid dps.
tbc was carried by the success of classic. mop was one of the best expansions, u are either trolling or have not played any of these expansions. wod i can agree it was awful, on par with BFA and tbc.
Pve is more competitive than pvp in classic.
