End of Season 1 for Me

They play Holy though…

Really? I didn’t read the great wall of lacking TL;DR

Off meta is still gonna struggle more but yeah idk what to say, I’ve never had an issue early season as healer, this season is no different.

EDIT: FWIW, even as a healer, the rat race is very important, I was 2k by day 2 of the season and was running 7/8 keys at 60X ilevel.

Falling behind is painful if you only intend to pug, which is why most people join guilds/communities.

Its a people problem mostly, and dont get me wrong, i agree with most of OP’s post except the “i dont want to play my own key” part.
Issue is there is SO many people that go hUrRdUrR MUST hAvE Shaman for my +6, cant do without weeeeh.
I dont think anyone would dispute this season being harder than anything in DF bar maybe the first season to an extent, and all thats doing is the meta slaves and worse, the meta sheep, being hellbent on getting their little aug, dk and shammy.

It was a very complicated game.
We had to install an external program for communication.
There is little to no playability.
When you make up so many classes, it is not clear what will come from where. You brought a horde paladin, okay. What are these ridiculous classes?

Huh? I mean if youre gonna be this high, at least share…

I finished up KSM on my 2 “mains” this week. I usually play until I get the +10 portals and then it’s a good time to take a break or at least play less, but this season I am not super motivated to do so. They really made the gearing transition from hero to myth track much less accessible, having to do +10 weeklies for myth track, and the changes to crests too. The dungeon pool has not been great and the TWW dungeons are just filled with overlapping mechanics. The changes to interrupts are just annoying, and the nerfs to tanks has not made my gaming experience better in any way. But hey, Delves are cool, so it’s not all bad. Overall though, this season hasn’t been a great experience.

You really should sometimes as …

This.

Making delves worse/harder/less rewarding will result in me doing neither delves nor M+ and just raid logging. It’s wild that just 6 months ago I’d happily be pugging low keys with alts for stuff to do and now I will not touch a +4 pug with a bargepole.

Gilded crests should go back to being from 6s (as they were in DF), such that people can slowly creep their ilvl up and conquer the problem and incidentally complete the mythic appearance sets. Which are legit 90% of my motivation.

Right now a lot of people are going to get soft locked at 619, unable to get into +9 pugs because they haven’t timed a +9 yet and are “only” 619, thereby suffering weeks without gear progress. Give it a month before we see a surge of unsubs as people get bored of not going anywhere :pensive:

Yeah well, skim reading is a thing, and when somebody types up a thesis, sometimes it’s easier to focus on the keywords to engage with the conversation, generally speaking, if somebody is complaining about not getting into keys, and they are not listing their own key, it’s a dps, doesn’t take a genius to come to that conclusion.

Working on the balance of probability is usually a safe bet, but as such, doesn’t mean you can’t get it wrong some of the time.

Back on topic though, if that’s okay with you, I’m sure going offtopic to whine at people is probably against the forums rules too? No?

The reality of the “highest ilevel, highest score” modern wow mentality is that if you’re not playing day 1 and on the cutting edge of the pug curve, you are forced to either make a premade or push your own keys.

It’s not something that Blizzard can fix because it’s a social issue, not a gameplay one.

While not making delves worse they have decided to nerf them by not crediting zekvir with a vault slot.

Is that not because it doesn’t represent the level of difficulty that you should get from a tier 8 delve though?

Zekvir on ? could be cleared in 2 minutes or less, whereas an equivalent delve takes 10 or so. I didn’t realize they’d made that change but it sort of makes sense to me, if you can get a full heroic vault from killing a boss multiple times super fast, it sorta defeats the point of the wider delve content.

EDIT: I see this change was announced 20 minutes ago, so fresh change, it makes sense but it’s a pity for those who don’t have time of course.

its not whining when poinring out forum rules to trolls  but its ok i understand you must be a little bit bitter to be caught out twice now  good night.

S3 was the best season for everyone. Also for key pushers. Why ? Because many people that previously sweat to get their portals at a +20, stopped right there.

But in S3, it was easy enough that many people gave key pushing a shot (pushing as in doing keys >20). And many liked it…

And that is HUGE. Because if you like to push keys (like me) you don’t want to be in a super tiny community of swetlords. You want a ton of people to share the passion with you !

So… IMO OP is right.

Blizzard should literally grab everything they did and scrap it. Next week, not next patch.

Remove this ridiculous “key level squish”, add 5 minutes to each dungeon timer and go back to how things were in S3…

And M0, and heroic dungeons can go back to being ignored. Nobody cared anyways…

Yeah, generally speaking this season has been one of the hardest to date in the game.

Having said that, you kind of fell behind the first week, when you saw gear being the barrier to entry/progress.

Most people that were “serious” about progression pushed to 9-10s the first week in order to unlock myth track vault. The rest of the people that were doing 5-7s in the first week and choose to wait for gear, kind of fell behind.

Just remember that in order to pug, you are competing against the rest of the playerbase for those spots. Most of the casual players that choose to wait for the “catchup” (that being gear, time, etc), fall behind the curve, while those that just grind and play pull ahead in the end.

So my 2 cents is that in your list, there is a world where you put as first priority to master the dungeons and grind them, and ended up in a way better place than now.

now imagine what will happen to them next seaosn

they will go nuclear on rewards in them .

I have never had an issue getting into pug groups as a healer. The max it took me was maybe 10 minutes. And I even have a private profile so noone can look me up on Raider io.

Eventualy I got to a point right now, where with 622 ilvl and 2430+ rating it takes about 10 seconds to get invited into +10. And I am not a shaman either.

Bli$$ard doesnt care. Unsubbed 1 week ago.

I don’t do high M+s atm, so I can’t speak for anything above 7. But overall it seems like a common experience.

However, I would still like to point something out:

There you go, the primary reason people are so picky: you are exactly like the ones who don’t invite you … but when it negatively affects you it’s a problem; this may need a moment of reflection.

Also, if everyone thought like you, nobody would end up with keys they wanted (at least not later in the week); because people don’t push their own keys to get a decent one. So this is a very clear double-edged sword and close to a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I think that without dedicated party it is imposible to push 9+ regulary. I found more funny, when you running the key and then you gets 55g as a reward, when you popped consumes for 1k and if things went badly, you spent another 2k in repairs

We’re happy for you. Or sorry that happened. Nobody is reading this.
