Should’ve stopped there. This is an MMO. You’re meant to make friends and be social. That’s how you end up with a good, stable group.
Quite frankly, I am GLAD that people who refuse to be social aren’t succeeding. I was worried this expansion was focusing too much on the ‘Lone Wolf’ players who never want to group up.
well for the sake of argument sure we can pretend that its 2004 and that world havent moved on - but reality is wow is game for dinosaurs who dont have time to make made belive online friends naymore
we are not 15 like we were 20 years ago
people want to log in and have fun
and if they cant ? its ok - they will just unsub and so play other game which offers that.
And WoW is not a shooter, where you log in → join match → pew pew → Good work team! → log off.
Every game has its base expectations. I dont go to counter strike and expect flying dragons and guns which will shoot rainbows or anything…so why expect a shooter type organisation from a MMO(MMORPG but thats a different debatable topic) such as WoW?
The most valuable feature in any game nowadays. ANY game, is an “instant action button”. You press it, and it teleports you into the main attraction the game has to offer.
As for OP, @Rafáel,
The reason you’re not getting invited to keys you have both the gear and skill to time, is because even people who outgear it overall have incentive to run them.
Because sure, you can get the bulk of your ilvl quickly, but that one trinket…that one ring…will elude them for 50+ runs.
The pool is filled with 2500+ score shamans looking for their bis item. It’s that simple.
Well WoW is still a character building-progression game. Even if Blizz has tried to “speed it up” as best as they can.
Anymore and they can stop the charade and go full “overwatch in WoW theme” at that point.
Dunno what WoW you’ve been playing but the best gear has always been from group content.
If you think being told an MMO is meant to be a social game is ‘toxic’ you should probably stick to single player games where you can do whatever you want.
there is literaly 0 social interactions in most guilds in first place.
they are at this moment nothing else then just in game teams callendar for organizing when they will raid toghether - then log in - raid and log off right after.
anything other is just fluff.
i had more social interactions on discords in wolk classic then in most of retail guidls i seen in last 10 years.
Just join an m+ community then, they are booming atm.
And before you scream “I dont want to socialize!!!” on me again. Nobody is asking you to marry anyone there.
Go to discord → go to the correct channel(M4-6 or m7-9…different communities may have different channels, but the idea is the same) → LFM X lvl 9, need this and that → people respond who wants to come → You go do the dungeon.
THATS IT
If even THAT is too much of an effort to some. Then honestly…no comments with the exception of asking can they at least wipe their "bum bums after " or somebody else does that as well for them?
Its a friendly community. Not a free boosting squad. I had nice timed +10s and had not so nice keys. You know. The normal m+ life when you win some and lose some? Not this weird notion that every key must be “mandatory +2-+3 chested” or the world will end…
Edit: But anyways. At this point, feels like you are just looking for excuses why you cant do it.
Even if 4x rio3500 guys will come to your +10 key, you will still complain that you can’t do it because their “transmog is bad” or something…
They are pointless. They are like any other thing that involves people who are just using each other. People just form cliques etc and there is community politics and drama. Anyone who would actually benefit from being in one doesn’t even need to be in one.
The drama can be juicy though, but not as good as guild drama.
Not sure in what community you joined. But I joined NoP like week ago and I knew not a darn soul there. Found the link in one of the forum threads here .
Done the weekly 8x chore 2 options being myth. Might push for 3 myth options but not sure I will get enough time, will arive home late this evening.
Havent stepped once in pugs and people being nice and even cracking jokes instead of going full Lilith mode “Hope u guys step on a lego!!!*” the moment somebody sneezes at the wrong time is a major improvement and as somebody who has been a full time solo dps pugger before… I honestly don’t care if that toxic cesspoll dies out. Maybe thats why Lilith feels so comfortable there. The old saying "the devil will always feel comfortable in hell "(our local saying, not sure if it translates well).
*-obviously with less flattering words but not in the mood for forum vacation
People are kind of self fulfilling prophecies. If you’re good word spreads and people want to play with you. So you see a different scene to people who aren’t good. Birds of a feather flock together.
Lots of times players who it was known weren’t very good struggled to find tanks or healers.
I only play tank so I didn’t need to be in a community and I’m not in one now.
