Clearly both unaware AND pitifully lying. You are just making the assumption that you are playing in a region with just you and 1 rogue entering stealth. Every place has tons of players since the removal of layer, even narrowing the filters down to “enemy units” and “spell casts” would flood the window with a lot of messages.
None of my business. According to these posts, everyone is extremely focused 100% of their playtime to read combat log lines constantly. Yet everybody is having addon to do it for them, how silly.
I’m telling you I’m totally capable of handling my threat in a fight, hence I’m not needing one addon to do it for me, still dodging the hint? Don’t worry, I’m used to it. Seriously, i’m done arguing with retards, you can refrain from posting a embarassing reply again.

Why would anyone read combat log now when its easier with Spy?
The argument isn’t that its equally convenient, the argument is that both are realistically doable.
Just because you can eat by diving your head into your meal doesn’t mean you wouldn’t wanna use a spoon.
If Spy didn’t exist, a lot of people would absolutely watch the combat log to gain advantage. And crybabies like you would keep complaining.

I don’t really see why this has become a discussion at all.
Every Spy-user argues that it more or less isn’t a strong add-on, that’s the summary of their “excuses”, so what would be the problem in simply not using it then?
Much less having it removed completely and there wouldn’t be an incentive whatsoever.

It gave a minimal edge. An edge that not many are (were) aware of, which I think stuck in some peoples’ craw.
I play rogue.
Yesterday i was going to blackrock mountain from searing gorge.
I was in stealth.
Group of 10 hordies was running around, more than 100yards away, and just turned and started running to me like i am not in stealth, got killed.
Then i did a little experiment and 5 more times went stealth in various locations in searing gorge and waited the horde pack.
Every time they found me like i am not in stealth.
No, its not disadvantage at all… with that addon i lost strongest class utility.
Stop thinking about ur asses and thing how this addon really is ruining the game, it removes some classes strongest utilities… is it meant to be that way?

I don’t need to, I use the addon myself. It doesn’t make me see rogues in stealth any better, because it can’t.
You have no idea what you’re talking about if you think Blizzard has included any code allowing better stealth detection into the possible functions for addons.

Dunno exactly, and i don’t care, all i know is they run straight to me like i am not in stealth. Maybe some other player saw me in stealth, rogue or druid, addon shared location, dunno, but i know that it’s crappy addon and needs to go away.
So you don’t know if that had anything to do with Spy, yet you blame it regardless?

An addon can’t share your location, only the location of the user (which in this case is the same location).
If someone was so close to you that they saw you, they didn’t need an addon to say “A rogue in stealth on me” to their raid members.
You’re literally complaining that someone got in like 5 yards distance with you, saw you there in stealth and called more people, and you think its the Spy to blame?
