The horde domination is really out of this world on pvp servers.

I miss the great faction balance from Nostalrius, and the retuned pve encounters :s

35% alliance sounds about right in Noggenfogger

While the human models are probably still the most popular, nowadays players have too much knowledge about the game, and thus many will roll horde for the strong racials.

Stuff like Shadowmeld, Perception, or even Stone Form simply doesn’t hold up to Stomp, Will of the Forsaken or the orc stun resist chance.

I’ll say it again even though no one seems to like hearing it or agree to it, no one should know these numbers. It’s gonna dictate what people chose to play.

There is definitely truth to that. Numbers like these guide player decisions and generally not for the better, because few like being the underdog faction. But there is no putting the genie back in the bottle. This information has always been available in WoW and Classic is not going to be an exception.

Could you do Zandalar tribe?

In coordination with Alliance players on Stonespine, we ran simultaneous census at 7PM server time (3rd of Sept) as this is when there starts to be a queue on Stonespine. The Census took over an hour to run in which time some additional people may have been counted.

The faction balance on Stonespine EU is 5738 Alliance players, 9613 Horde players.

Server capacity appears to be around 15 000 players before the queue starts. There was a queue on Stonespine during the time of the census.

This is 1 week after the launch of the server and is subject to change.

Doing Pyrewood Village just now, I’m gonna do Zandalar Tribe next. It might be ready around midnight, if not then tomorrow morning.

I’m really hoping that Zandalar proves to be healthy - on the one hand it’s a PvP server so Horde gets an influx, but on the other it’s also an RP server where Alliance tends to be favoured.

What’s kind of interesting is how it will pan out with the cross-realm BGs if Horde is favoured on a whole lot of PvP servers across the board. Silly racials.

Back in vanilla horde got it’s rep for two reasons:

  • it was the less popular faction
  • player base was more mature.

Now in Classic alliance is the new horde.
That’s it.

Surveys from that time show that Alliance was a little bit older on average. People definitely did assume that Horde was older back then but it probably wasn’t true.

Golemagg , I havent even seen a Hord player yet . maby one or two. and we are the underdogs apparently. These regit spreadscheets are fake.
