What is your favourite dungeon in World of Warcraft?
Vanilla: Dire Maul and Deadmines
TBC: Magister Terrace
Wrath: Utgarde Pinnacle and nexus
Cataclysm: Well of Eternity, End Time, Throne of the Tides and The Vortex Pinnacle
MoP: Scholomance 2.0
WoD: Iron Docks
Legion: Court of Stars, The Arcway, Eye of Azshara and karazhan 2.0
BFA: Freehold
Shadowlands: None
Dragonflight: None
In terms of flavour/aesthetic and sense of adventure: Uldaman (old version more so, but the new one is okay), Temple of the Jade Serpent and Tol Dagor.
The mobs and bosses are always in the way though and in that regard I’m not a fan of any dungeon; they’re a hassle.
Original Sunken Temple. Those memories of being lost in that maze will haunt me forever.
Hard to pinpoint, so I’ll go by expansion – mostly for aesthetic reasons.
Vanilla: Wailing Caverns
TBC: Old Hillsbrad Foothills
Wrath: Halls of Lightning
Cataclysm: Vortex Pinnacle
MoP: Brewery / Jade Serpent
WoD: Shadowmoon Burial Grounds
Legion: Court of Stars / Return to Karazhan
BFA: Mechagon
Shadowlands: Mists of Tirna Scithe
Dragonflight: Academy
Vanilla: deadmines classic and the old SM ones. Oh oh and a full BRD run.
TBC: Ramparts, Slave Pens and Old Hillsbrad
Wrath: Utgarde Keep and Old Stratholme
Cata: Lost City of the Tol Vir and the CoT ones.
MoP: Temple of the Jade Serpent
WoD: none
Legion: new kara and Black Rook Hold
BfA: Waycrest I guess
SL: none
DF: Nokhud siege thingy.
Really loved Waycrest Manor from BFA.
Escape from durnholde. Followed very closely by culling of stratholme.
Based on first time playing them.
Deadmines for the nostalgia
Walling caverns for the funny memory of falling down the hole the first time and getting lost. Literally screamed In real life
Zul’Aman for the beautiful nature. And trolls mon
Neltharion’s Lair or Court of Stars.
Freehold hands down.
U can get creative here , u can do big pulls there without need of 35 kicks , 15 aoe stuns and then someone geting oneshot anyway.
Also , before it was fun thanks to captains event , and it was different every week which was imo good .
Surprisingly, coming from me, a Legion dungeon.
Vault of the Warden.
I enjoyed:
- The atmosphere
- The music
- The voice acting
- The very unique mechanics of each boss
I thought it was a really well made dungeon.
scarlet monastery
Certainly not your basement, Puny- you promised me Stella Artois and dry roasted peanuts, never got either
On topic, i do like Freehold and Neltharion Lair
Stratholme probably.
Grim Batol is also nice.
Good taste eh
Classic scarlet monestary
Hard to say, I’m not a big fan of dungeons
- Classic: Of the few that are still in the game and I got to play probably Gnomeregan
- TBC: Arcratraz or Magisters’ Terrace
- WotLK: Not a big fan of any of them, maybe Culling of Strat for its theme. Trial of the Champion looks cool but I’ve never gotten a group for it, only solo.
- Cata: I haven’t really played most of them so I’d say Deadmines. Well of Eternity and Troll dungeons are ones I’d like to try in a group but again I can’t really.
- MoP: Either Temple of the Jade Serpent or Scarlet Monastery.
- WoD: Auchindoun, Everbloom and Grimrail Depot.
- Legion: Vault of the Wardens, Court of Stars and Karazhan. Would have liked to try seat of the Triumvirate at least once.
- BFA: Mechagon.
- SL: I haven’t actually played them a lot, or any recently. Necrotic Waste if I had to choose. Don’t remember much of Spires of Ascension but probably that too.
- DF: New Uldaman. I have yet to try Dawn of the Infinite, hope it’s fun.
My #1 contender has always been Court of Stars, but at the moment, I’m thinking it’s the Dawn of the Infinite. I’m in love with this place - the mechanics are super good, and the place is absolutely stunning.
Pre MoP it’s hard to choose, dungeons at that time were part of the adventure (like levelling, exploring, etc), esp. vanilla dungeons, so it’s a hard pick,
-SFK, SM, Scholo
-Durnhold, -Hellfire Citadel
-Nexus, UK, UK
-BRC, HoO
-Brewery
-Auchindun
-Warden, CoS
-Waycrest Mansion, Siege of Boralus
-Mist
