Raiding is by far the least interesting part of the game and it recieves the most always all the time at the cost of gutting the rest of the game … why ? cause blizzard devs like it :smiley:

ofc you wouldnt know anything about that since i doubt you do any activity outside of delves or something but if you did you would know know how frustrating the raiding situation has been past few expansions . so it dosnt affect you hence you dont know it

No clue what you are talking about. I tanked in several games as well on several classes and WoW tanking is by far the best, most versatile and long term fun.

I could write down a whole list how WoW tanking is superior to pretty much every other MMORPG.

So this sounds like you could name at least 3 other MMORPGs which do it better? I mean… knowing all the games out there, I am really curious how you want to back up this one… It’s kinda impossible.

Ok now this is weird af ngl… while raids you find boring (even tho I gotta say this season we have the best raid in terms of tank mechanics), M+ is too stressful? So you don’t like it “semi-easy” (like in raids) but you also don’t like it in M+ style where you can express your skill as a tank? What do you want then? lol
The level of perfection you demand here is kinda crazy. There is not a single game that comes even close to WoW in these terms and 100% nowhere close to the level of perfection you seem to look for. But I am curious, name me a game that does it better lol^^

And I tank to relax because I find it the best balanced role this season. It’s easy enough without getting boring while it’s also being relaxing.

I think I tanked enough to have my own thoughts on it. I just prefer healing more because it’s more fun to me. (and because my mate keeps complaining about other healers)

This is objectively not possible. Look what tank design you have in WoW? Compare Prot Pala, War, DK and VDH an tell me they play even remotely the same? Tell me they can not handle situations and pulls differently? You can’t do that without an overdose of copium.
This is not even the same universe as Fellowship in terms of versatility.

You say we have no variety of dungeons and then you keep literally listing the variety? Uhm….?
I think you confuse it with “new ones”. I mean obviously we are not getting new dungeons every season but what is the comparison? You literally take a new game and say it has new dungeons. Like…. ye? Of course? That’s how new games work? lol :joy:

Oh ye is gonna be horrible for sure. That’s basically the only reason why I don’t want addons to be removed.
But then again, alpha Midnight looks better than Fellowship already. In every single aspect. While Fellowship had 20 years of WoW to learn from, yet they failed to implement the very basic functions….

Wdym quick? I literally managed to start the game, hit 5,5k and quit it before they were able to implement lmb/rmb on party frames? (I don’t even know if they managed to do it by now)

This would be terrible for wow. 3 bosses is not a mega dungeon. Thats a short dungeon

Blizzard has gutted almost every aspect of wow already to suit raiding (look at Classic, or Legion Remix’s “heroic” tier for example of better world content). They threw a bone to solo players with delves. How is changing it to suit m+ which is far more popular than raiding ever was, any different?

then leave wow and save us from your weekly blog.

all i know is tanking is garbage in wow , its been rock bottom for me and im pretty sure my opinion is far more valid than yours because there is Statistical data that proves my opinion while yours is just random BS not backed by anything other than feels rly good for me bs

tanking ( HAS - IS - AND WILL REMAIN ) the least popular role in wow for ever, unless they change it make it more rewarding less punishing and more fun . across both contents M+ and raiding you can find the % of how many ppl are tanking on AVG compare to dps . the ratio is somewhere around 1 to 10 , in m+ mid to low keys its even worst its like 1 to 100

The game is like 20 years old…. Fellowship will end up facing same issues… you just blind to those now because the game is new…

Last time I checked, you could see that there are more tanks than dps in order to form a group. There was only a small heal shortage.
You obviously are upset with WoW and it’s fine but nothing you said so far is based on facts or reality. It’s all your subjective feelings.
There is a lot I’d like to see improved in WoW as well, no question about that but what you bring up is actually, objectively, just kinda non-sense.

Check the numbers once again and then remember how you need only 1 tank but 3 dps for a group. Last time I checked, you had more tanks (proportionally) than dps.

And it goes exactly how one would expect it to go, specially on the higher difficultys. Something happens that someone doesn’t like? QUIT, no punishment, GG wasted 20 Minutes.

Utility tied to RNG Drops, exactly what people always want.

This i give you, is actually a really good thing.

The Dungeons are actually so god damn Boring because of this, nothing interesting happens until you reach the Boss, BUT the bosses actually have some really fun mechanics, like for example the Guy with the Elk Boss.

The Classes are also pretty bare bones with barely any Depth, with probably the exception being Tariq, but his Swing Timer adds more clunk then depth, but yeah they are balanced really well.

Pretty self explanitory, how a game can Update this quick when it’s only been out of 2 Weeks and has not gotten 21 Years of additional content that you now have to double and trippel check to not mess up with your updates.

I don’t want to shatter your illusion, but round about 28-30K is probably not even remotely “a good chunk”.

Specially when you look at how easy it is to get into Fellowship, no Sub, no Expansion you need to buy, just a one time 25 Buck purchase.

about 7 million in totall number of prot warriors have participated in dungeons across all levels this season

the combination of the top 3 dps which makes it a 3to1 ration for a dungeon is about 3 times highher in each spec when it comes to dps so for ever 3 Frost dk there is 1 prot warrior … and thats not counting other dps specs which is idk what 20 something specs ?

so the n1 dps spec is outweighing the n1 tank in a 3 to 1 ration and thats just 1 spec … and tanks only have access to 5 while dps has access to much more

no just because something is bad dosnt mean there will be a good version of it … you can have something that stinks here and it will stink almostt anywhere else . thats just common sense

a bag of garbage is a bag of garbage dosnt matter if its in a real state or a slum . tanking is garbage in wow and it is garbage in fellowship i suspect its probably also garbage in those other games you mentioned to . but i couldnt verify since i didnt play them

This is a good argument but i would argue that its better to make certain utility role based, i.e. BL = dps, CR = healer and AoE Silence / taunt = tank (or whatever tanks need).
We definitely need a more streamlined version. We already have a shadowmeld potion, maybe expand on that idea.

Hmm…not sure if that is the direction WoW should go. I mean…i love 3 boss dungeons. Maybe Blizzard should design dungeons with a 20min timer. I would have to test shorter dungeon designs in WoW to form an opinion on that. Right now i am not too sure tbh.

When even the pros say “play w/e you want. its all s tier” you know the balancing is good.

The current m+ affixes are hella boring (WoW). I do miss the affixes. My favorite Fellowship affix is stoneskin. Iirc the trash mobs have 30% more hp, but deal a % of their max hp to nearby enemies when they die.
Thats how you design kiss / curse. I genuinely prefer storming over the current xalatath affixes. Especially the orbs that you have to cc / dispell.

Blizzard could really step up their game if they get inspired by Fellowship.

So I think you look at popularity by run and not unique class population. Ok… but where is your point? Because there are more DKs played than Prot Wars? That’s it?

7,7 prot war runs and 11mil fdk? One of us seems to get it wrong how 3 to 1 ration looks like it seems.

Sorry to break it to you but this is not how it works. What you think might smell good to you, will stink to someone else and vice versa.
That’s the point of comparisons. If you say something is bad, while millions of people play it, then it’s unlikely it’s as bad as you try to make it to be and if there is no other game that does it better, then it’s by definition the best product on the market.
It surely might be not perfect, but by definition, it’s the best available.

yeah exactly …. you couldnt have come up with a better soluttion if im being honest with you , in fact i even made a post about it few days ago breaking it all down in pieces . Vdh dfs3 is a role model for what tanking should be , completely self sustained , lots of control , lots of aoe , lots of ST , basically OP . only solution

the only way forward with tanking is to make them way more overpower than what they are , a common reason why MOP never had a tank issue was because you had instances where tank would do more dmg than the dps …. tanks need to be OP its not negiotable its a boring garbage role . unless you would make them get more loot or reward or something in which that would be Heavily exploitable i dont see any other way

sure i accept any form of versatility when it comes to changing the state of utilities .
