I will post what I said in the same thread.

Rest in Peace, Brignate, though we only RPed once or twice. You made it fun RPing a Blood Elf for the short time I did. Thank you, you’ll never be forgotten by any of us or AD.

Condolences to his family and friends,

Take to the skies wing-commander.

I’ll just re-post what I wrote in the other thread:

I’m very sorry to read this. I did miss his presence on the forums and wondered were he went, but never expected something terrible like this. My condolences to all that knew him well.

Thank you for sharing, by the way.

No problem

Unable to post it in the general thread, so posting it here.

Sad news to see :frowning: Rest in peace Brigante.

He was a recognisable guy, always posting long in-depth posts and ever present in the scene from even when I started in my early days of RP. It’s always sad news to hear of the passing of other fellow RPers.

The piece of news leaves a weird emptiness, even if I didn’t really know the guy.
Just going to give this thread a bump and move on. Thanks to Dorn for sharing.

 dang he will be missed by the community. I always liked the guild he lead, the Sun Hawks.

So sad to see him go.

Brig was the sort of guy WoW can’t afford to lose. Sad to see him gone.

Being unable to respond in General, I shall do so here. Also thank you for posting so I might be aware of the post being made.

But to the point, I have been aware of Brigante for most of my time on this server through his leadership in the Sun Hawks. It and he have always been a standout name who I have been aware of but not had much interactions with.

Over the years however, I have had brief/infrequent moments of contact, and even joined the Sun Hawks briefly before the fracturing of that community took place. Whether it was in his community, or in his general vicinity, the character of Brigante has always been a fun point of interest for my multiple characters to interact with. He offered quite a unique character that always shone wherever he went.

These traits seemed heavily supported by the fact he had these qualities OOC as well. Each interaction came across as a man who was always chilled and down to earth. Gentile in their demeanor and happily existing in the spaces they occupied, radiating this feeling to those around him as well.

My time spent interacting with them was regrettably short, but the time I did have will always stand out as a positive time in my life.

He will be missed, my condolences to all who knew him and deeply cared about him, or just had the pleasure to know him at all.

Posted in the General Forum, but just wanted to say it here too. Dudge was a great friend, fantastic fun to LARP with, and an incredibly kind man. I will miss him very, very much.

I just heard about this and I’m saddened and shocked. I haven’t played WoW for years so I sadly can’t post on the proper thread on the general forum. Some might remember me as Gaebriel, guild leader of Lightsworn, I’ll share a few memories from ages ago.

We were on the Sha’tar before transfering to AD in 2012. Back then, Brigante was in my guild for several years during the WOTLK era, playing Sir Fintan Samuels, an impetuous and gallant paladin who lost his betrothed during the scourge invasion preluding WOTLK. He also had an alt called Heldenhammer in an undead guild, I never played Horde but I remember he told me said character was an uncharacteristically chivalrous undead horseman who still tried to cling to ideals he had in life .

Back then he was already a great roleplayer and always a very positive and upbeat contribution to our guild atmosphere. He was exactly the kind of player
that every guild leader should like to see in their roster, and I legit never saw him be anything less than super kind and positive to others during his time with us.
I remember he often shared LARP pictures on our old long gone forums and was always very passionate about RP, generally a great and well spoken guy to have around. I always enjoyed getting to call him long winded, which lead to much hilarity since I was never a stranger to the textwall myself.

He eventually quit WoW, but later picked it up again as Brigante on AD. I wasn’t surprised to see him as a guild leader here, as I remember he always had the OOC qualities that would make for a good one in my opinion. Sadly we didn’t get to speak often during our time on AD as we were on different sides of the fence, though we managed to catch up a little now and then, usually during a campaign where both our guilds were involved. Eventually we finally managed to bump into each other in RP on the roof of that northwest keep in Howling Fjord during a crossfaction moment in a campaign. I remember we were both very excited to RP together after all those years. I think most has already been said better by those closer to him here on AD, but that guy was a radiant star within the community. <3

Rest in peace Sir Fintan Samuels / Brigante Summerisle, and may you find comfort and solace within the Light’s embrace.

Horrid turn of events. Brigante was for a long time what I expected Blood Elves to be in RP, I even had a tenure in his Sun Hawks as they were the few not just languishing in Silvermoon all day (this is a while ago, mind). I’m sure he will be missed by many.

Jeez not the news I’d expect to read here today, RIP Brigante you definetly were an interesting fellow and a big presence on the forums, if anything for those massive walls of text
