Exactly the behaviour AD can’t afford, a “us or them” mentality.
Thanks for your last, final post on the matter.
It also means they’re usually the same person’s alts :^)
RP with them. Then as your pasta sauce starts to smell oddly gamey with an unusual texture, you’ll realise the truth.
On what matter? That idealy no one should let them be swayed by others opinions alone but see for themselves? Or comment on what goes on between two communites? No, it’ll probably not be the final comment when it apparantly affects the rest of AD.
Well, I think people should aim for the best RP available. You may say “decide for yourself” but when you end up jammed in a jar, with fewer people willing to interact with you because your choice was to surround yourself with, being generous, lacklustre RP, you’re going to end up pretty miffed and disappointed.
I know a community who is welcoming to all people, who are happy to give a newbie a shot.
I know there’s a lot of crap said about said community that is frankly not true.
Honestly? if you’re spending a lot of time moaning about a community who just wants to RP, or making alts to grief said RPers of this community or spread some outright malicious rumours about said community, maybe you need to take a hard look at yourself?
I can’t speak for any other communities, but I can wholeheartedly recommend the PCU. We have a lot of people who are willing to take on new roleplayers and show them the ropes, and there are guilds to cater to almost any character you want to play.
Nothing said so far has been an opinion but a reference to in-game events - unless you’re arguing that people should be personally targeted by not-so-anonymous alts before they can have an opinion?
Not sure I agree with that one
Personal grievances can/shoud/must be settled mano a mano with only those you have beef with. And, considering the (assumed) importance of AD/AD’s community in anyone’s life (I hope that = 1% or something) probably also forgotten soon after and dealt with on a case by case basis.
Imagine actually being angsty about internet people you’ve never met/will never meet; now amplify that and make it about internet people you’ve not even met on the internet but have already judged them. simple lol
I’m somewhat hijacking this topic because we had the OOC-player debatte going on in the AD-subforum two weeks ago. People suggesting going to AD if you want to have the 30% WM:
Maybe some of you could go into the detail (again) why it’s not wise to come to AD for non-RP purposes?
The bonus is region wide, not server.
Wrong person to tell that.
The bonus is region-wide, but the RP shard is the only shard on EU which is Alliance-dominated, thanks to Argent Dawn. So the risks of getting destroyed by the Horde are minimal. That’s probably the reason why some non-RP people wish to move to Argent Dawn.
that thread is a mess, leafkettle, i hate it
I try to not get involved in these discussions (or any discussions in general) about OOC players coming to AD, but it always kind of rubs me the wrong way. The way they talk of the realm raid stats, PvP and Warmode atmosphere just always kind of feels like someone coming into your amateur theaters space and going: “Oh man! This would be a great place for a fitness gym!”
Kind of irksome.
Especially so when one of the people reccing the realm in that way is an MVP! Come on.
I’d post there, but

bruh
I agree, the MVP making that suggestion just shows the mindset of people that don’t really RP/don’t care about suffocating the RP population.
Thank you for telling us, we can now go defend our realm.
Don’t know if this was meant to be sarcastic or not but I think it’s a good opportunity to make it clear to the wider audience after we had 1.5k hate topic about OOCers two weeks ago.
It wasn’t, sorry if it looked that way. Tone hard to convey in text and all that.
