Fix for Repeat Instance Bug Exploit

Your evidence for that?

Except they still had Ragnaros to kill, which they left alive the day before with the perfectly reasonable expectation to be able to kill him the next day.

So they did’t want to leave and forfeit Ragnaros’ kill and reported the issue, waiting until the people in charge allowed them to proceed. They literally had Blizzard’s blessing to proceed.

I was waiting classic si much because Pservers were full or bugs, corruption, chinese bots, mafia , xfaction collusion.
BUT at least they were free … Classic is not free and i see same S… than on Pservers. Economy and thus pve&PvP are already doomed. I don’t believe bans will be effective. Too many recipes, mats, boe sold around the realms.
Tipsout’s video on YouTube is very informative about this.
Hopefully i enjoyed vanilla with this toon 15 years ago. For me wow is over. Sub cancelled.
I m sure a new vanilla pserver will open soon, it will have bugs but it will be free and no stupid xp bugs exploit +aoe cleave parties+layers+layers exploit

Well people warned them about the exploit potential of the layer system. Blizzard knew better, they told people they exaggerate (Of course you cant find this posts any more).

Blizzard has some of the most intelligent heads of the world. People with success and an IQ over a certain pointage most time have 1 thing in common: They often think they always know better.

—> “You think you do, but you dont”.

They will now have a huge amount of work now to fix this.

Where to draw the line? Ban everyone who ever used layering for quest mob respawn, will you ban him if he did it 3 times, 5 times? , or only against those who used it in dungeons? What about all the items? Baron mounts? Thunderfury shackles? etc etc etc

Wanna know what would be hilarious (but won’t happen)?
A 1 month ban… at the start of each phase for the exploiters :stuck_out_tongue:

Happy to see fanboys defending their idols.

Got your name announced the other fanboys for 5 seconds for xyz dollars?

And in other note: Actually noone had the BRILLIANT IDEA, to call a GM, which (i think they probably have that right and stuff) to kill every respawned boss, took their loot out, and leave the bosses which should remain originally.

They even had connect to Blizz HQ (in that specific case), so that would like take maximum 10 mins.

Instead, they rekill all bosses and took all loots again.

one of the streamers did, and waited until Blizzard gave them the OK to continue. Blizzard confirmed this on US forums

So blizzard even supporting them to abuse it, while others players banned.

Amazing, simple amazing. GG blizz. Nothing so say to this anymore.

Glad to hear it, you keep lowering the general IQ of the conversation anyway

https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/its-not-cheating-or-an-exploit-its-a-clever-use-of-game-mechanics-which-blizz-tolerates-and-actually-encourages/301488/82 for the full actual post by Blizzard that explains the (obvious) difference between the two circumstances.

What at least Esfand did can be considered an “abuse” only with a very superficial and intellectually dishonest interpretation of the facts.

Facts it’s pretty clear you don’t know in the first place, since you are basically learning them as you go by being called out on your mistaken statements.

Frankly what I find baffling is that people are seemingly okay with the blatant cronyism.

It is already dubious that someone who made money of Blizzard’s IP by streaming pserver play can literally get in front of the line of the normal GM Ticket line because he/one of his Guildies ‘knows a guy’.

It gets worse if said guy / an old buddy gets to be the arbiter on the case in question.

That last part is indefensible, if an arbiter personally knows a party involved in a case, that arbiter should excuse himself from it and let another GM panel etc. deal with it, to at least have some pretentions of Blizzard acting like an impartial refree in matters.

That Lore - who frankly, given his background, shouldn’t be touching cases like this with even a twenty-Gnome pole - or anybody else at Blizzard and too many posters here seemingly doesn’t see any problem with this kind of action that, at least on the surface, reeks of blatant cronyism, is frankly baffling.

Don’t people have any sense anymore of even the basics of how a fair judicial system is supposed to work?

Or is this once again an example of ‘WoW Classic should not be taken serious, it’s a joke version we still charge money for - even in advance, given the ill-handled Naming Reservation process’ so just abuse the system as much as possible ‘as it doesn’t matter’?

As a side-note, on GlassDoor there already are numerous complaints about cronyism and nepotism being rampant at MMORPG-companies, does Blizz really want to add this to the list?

You are claiming unequal treatment, but where is the evidence of that? Where is Blizzard’s decision in this case against their policies and their long-standing stance on these issues?

As far as I know their stance about what constitutes abuse vs. stumbling upon a bug is nothing new and nothing different is being applied specifically to streamers or notorious players, which did get punished in the past when found having crossed the line and likely will in this case too.

Asmongold never did. Don´t spread fake news please.

Classic is worst than pservers like Nostalrious or northdale. These had bugs but were free and no layering exploits.

You realise that on private servers, GM’s sold gold and items right? That is WAY worse than this situation.

^ not only are you wrong, you are also a liar - I thought you said you wouldn’t be replying any more?

and no, you are lowering the IQ of the conversation because you are blatantly ignoring the details to try make it fit your narrative of the situation instead of what actually happened.

“nothing so say” part ment for the blue post (not this) and that exact specific case.

But np we can keep going this for a while, im up for it.

Senseless?

If you dont understand why, then I am sorry for you… bye bye

Using a direct link to Blizz (instead of waiting in line like others) and having people you now personally involved in handling your case (as is apparently the case) is rather blatant cronysim.

Franjly I am baffled how many posters seemingly have no problem with this apparent lack of integrity of the company.

Note that on Glassdoors complaints of cronyism and nepotism regarding MMORPG companies are rampant already.
