Yes you did need the rep because there were quests in there that you needed to complete. If you don’t understand the topic, look up the original post, where it was in relation to flying and timegating etc.

Not going to keep going on about it, it is derailing the thread.

Stop being cocky about keeping up, makes you look like an idiot.

They won’t be because IMO most of the ones who do go and play it will be the older part of the player base and probably the more highly skilled.

Just in my in game experiece I know, but the ones I hear speaking about playing classic tend to be older more skilled players.

Those who joined since the world became easier might try it out, but if they do most will be gone after a month.

I’d also say that while there is a lot of nostalgia for classic’s gameplay or certain aspects of it, for a lot it is probably like remembering the good times with an ex and forgetting all the reasons you broke up. Some of the mindless grind back then makes me cringe when I think about it.

I think there will be a lot of surprised players tho, the general malaise that players have these days re the difficulty with mobs, just getting into the habit of CC and choosing the mobs will be surprising lol.

You didnt need to do them at all and yes carry on with name calling well done.
If your goal was to get to winterspring you did not need the rep its called choice remember.

Yes this is my point, its being a long time since this level of difficulty has been in the game, and a lot of players will be shocked at how little they remember, Not to mention the surprise newer players will get.

I like idea from US forums, that if we would need to wait a year for flying, then flying should be available immediately with release of 8.2, as any further time/grind-gating would be really exceeding.

And I just hope, that some dramatic change will happen at some point, that will become an end of this “Flying in the middle of expansion is the best, we have, and this is final design - deal with it.” and some better solution will be implemented, that will suit both sides.

Dunno. May be will finally have something like Classic for hardcores/no-flyers and Live for casuals/pro-flyers, i.e. Blizzard will finally leave Live game alone and stop trying to turn it back into Vanilla?

Yes it was a choice, well done, but if you did indeed choose to go to Winterspring, ohh maybe for Linkens Sword questline, you had to go thru the tunnel, and you needed the rep.

As I said, this thread is here for Flying, and this is yet again derailing .

As for name calling. if it fits!

They added things then to make gaining that rep easier. That’s all.

They not need to be empowered in litelar means
just to gief people reason to put turn their flying off and go warmode. For example, titles if you kill 1000 people outdoor, PvP Daily quests. toys, mounts, funny items like from brawler guild like “broken snout”, “golden tooth”, achivments, or other stuff for which will people stay warmode on. If flying enter into warmode its end it.

Imagine for example if blizzard put some rare mount with only 0.1% drop rate in warmode which drops from players who are marked on map  imagine the hunt for a guy. Evein if drop is low people will want guy death :stuck_out_tongue:

It is not derailing because you used that “needs exalted to access to winterspring” as argument about vanilla flying (when people said it is not needed there same way than in retail) and we are countering that argument by telling you did not need to be exalted to go trough safely, just neutral (or even unfriendly). Rep was wanted for other reasons: recipes. And like i said, i don’t need flying in classic but i do want it retail, because i find them 2 totally different things.

I have to say I agree with this. There is something very wrong with WM if people have to bought with bribes to turn it on.

There should be no PVE advantage having WM turned on IMO. Pure PvP rewards, knock yourself out.

I thought pvp and pve rewards were largely the same these days? What rewards would you suggest?

for example honor, conquest points, pvp gear

The reality is most people don’t want the inconvience of partaking in world PVP and Blizzard have made such a mess of rated that there is little interest in PVP overall. Hence they are trying to placate the world PVP crowd after doing away with PVP servers with warmode, but because most won’t participate you get rewards.

if players like WPvP, they will turn it on regardless
PvP servers didn’t have rewards for playing on these either, yet players still created new characters on PvP servers

It should be confined to that. The only reason I turn PVP on is for azerite quests, but if I go to Voldun for those I tend to just leave it off as it takes too long with large horde groups. That and kill 25 horde for the 1000 azerite quest at a flight point / turtle quest somewhere.

Most players wanted out of PVP servers, at least on the alliance side. Hence warmode was brought in. A lot were locked into PVP servers because of the cost of transferring multiple toons off them.

World PVP was and is just about ganking. Unless they put in quest rewards you will only have a handful bothering with it.
