Flying, Blizzard. When?

well, even if this was the case, there is still something really wrong with bribing PVE players into WM with better rewards… this really shouldn’t be needed… like I said, just give the players who are playing on Warmode conquest points, honor or PvP gear

Just bring the old pvp servers back with no incentives .the game was running fine before wm concept

If i recall you jsut moved here from the US ,in EU the PVP servers where very un balanced to the point of some servers had 99% horde so no PVP took place .
Its very hard to balance the servers as it would take massive bribes for guilds/players to move and to stay on servers and different factions.
This is why we have warmode its cheaper for them to do with sharding and phaseing and crz .

Flying?..to do what?..world quest?

If you’re doing world quest this expansion, you’re playing the game wrong.

Blizzard’s brilliant idea of given us flying only when it becomes clear that we don’t need it, is played out.

Which is why Pathfinder is time gated.

Once you’ve completed all quests in the expansion you should be able to fly, just my opinion.

Yeah, I also think, that it’s their plan. And it doesn’t look good, as it sounds like “Flying is so bad, that we need to immediately release another no-flying content to compensate”. It’s really bad for me, as it is possible, that I won’t be able to play game at that moment, as I will be on vocation with low quality Internet available. But on a bright side - if Classic will actually work, they may enable flying on release in a next expansion, as no-flyers will have backup content to play since then, as we have some old content with flying as backup content now.

Wrong. May be you played some other Vanilla? Vanilla’s design was truly MMO design, that took large amount of players, playing is same area at the same time, into account. Questing zones were large with much more quest mobs/items available and it allowed Blizzard to avoid abusing high densities and respawn rates to compensate small size of zone and small number of mobs in it. And therefore, yeah, you were able to simply ride through mobs without constant aggro, combat and dazes.

WPVP isn’t valid argument and Blizzard have admitted it, as half of players plays in PVE mode and their interests should be protected too. This is 2nd major problem with BFA for me. It’s very PVP-biased, as there is even more content, that tricks you into PVP-flagging, than back in Legion, where we had Dalaran Sewers and some FFA PVP zones. And this is 2nd thing, I need flying for - to avoid PVP-flagging as much, as possible.

Blizzard actually still violate major PVE mode rule - PVP should be 100% voluntary. There is no place for so called “accidental” PVP there. PVE players don’t need that “sense of danger”. They picked PVE mode for reason - exactly to avoid it. I.e. one of two things should happen: 1) PVP flag should be removed from game, as old “May be some players on PVE servers would want to PVP?” argument no longer works - we have WarMode for this, that can be enabled at any moment. 2) If PVP zones still should exists, PVE player should be warned about them. Not that stupid “BAM - you’re PVP-flagged!”. There should be some “red zones” on a map. There should be some warnings and grace periods. And devs should never place mandatory PVE activities there to trick PVE players into PVP-flagging.

Seems you played a different Vanilla to me tbh, mobs were a lot harder to avoid unless you stayed on the roads, which is where the tip came from.

8.2 - after you will complete pathfinder part 2 which i bet will require fully unlocked nazjatar

my main problem in beggining of expansion was the fact that was nearly impossible to find groups to clear world objectives outside of pvp mode. (as horde fraction)

now with much more people ignoring warmode on horde side i turned it off and have no regrets.

the only thing that kept me having it on was the aviablitly of groups in lfg tool for WQ - now that i no longer have problem with it i dont use WM on any fraction .

aww i have been playing game wrong for what 9 months now ? im grateful you pointed it out to me ^^

what a fool of me for enjoying doing them

the easiest one would be offer x amount of titan residium or how its called for completing each WQ while in WM

this would be imo more then decent incentifise for people to do it.

Last I checked, PvP people need gear too, to PvP, because you know… no more resilience, both PvE and PvP gear are the same.

Yes same as it was in Legion and before…
you need do it on one character only

I am not sure where the notion came from that I was requesting PvP players don’t get gear.

Especially when the discussion had turned to not having flying in ‘WM on’ shards and that to counter that they would get things like herbing bonuses. Having to do less WQs for an emissary etc. That is something I disagreed with.

However the current enlisted bonus does incorporate aspects that appeal to PvE players to get them to use WM on.

I personally don’t feel strongly about the quest for gear that the Alliance get for being under represented in WM. My issue is that it does nothing to fix the ratio. It creates a short term WM tourism to go and farm some kills then turn it off again.

I have to question what zones in BFA are extreme? Zul has a few areas where the cliffs mean you have to use bridges. Vol’dun, Sound and Nazmir are mostly flat. Stormsong is choppy but not many area’s I’ve struggled to traverse. The only part of Drust that’s hard to get around is the ACTUAL mountain.

No. No rewards like that. Ppl who just want to be left alone and dont play pvp dont want to think about how you would get more this or that if you just did do pvp.
Basically forcing ppl to go wm if they want to ex. herb efficiently
No thanks.

You already have to herb in WM, with all the bots around, it’s the efficient way.

Personally I really don’t think people will be choosing to play classic over retail because it has no flying. I really can’t see that being a big thing.

Why, though? If, in theory, when they give us flying they’d disable it for WM, then disabling WM becomes the most efficient way of grinding resources. If you want to do the emissary quests then doing them without WM becomes the optimal way of doing it. Then, like you’ve said, WM truly would be dead. To combat the lack of convenience that non-flying entails, I think they would need to address these things.

Keep in mind though that all of this is theoretical; we’re probably not going to see them disable flying in WM. But if they did, well, WM would be dead unless they did something about it.
