This would be the ideal but I can’t see it happening. I don’t know, but I would guess the moderators here have many other things to do as part of their jobs. While being proactive would solve many problems, I just don’t think it’s workable. Unless you have moderators here 24/7, moderation is always going to be reactive.
Me too
Also I kind of think this might be derailing the thread a little bit now. Just a friendly heads up.
I guess, although that wasn’t my intention. I guess my point is that I don’t think you can have taboo subjects on forums just because some feel it’s political or controversial. If it’s Wow related or something like a big current event people are going to discuss it in some way.
I’m not against someone making a post saying “I think this ingame quest has the wrong text Blizzard?” What I’m against is the people you’re talking about, but also the people that defend it and turn it into a massive debate not about wow.
For example: The OP says they think the text is wrong in some sort of bug post in their opinion
Then the people who follow up with “Omg gay people are bad” should have their post removed
However the same should happen to people who spiral it out of control the other way too, You can be morally right about something but doesn’t mean you need to turn the forums into a heated politcal debate that goes no where anyway. Post removed to keep things tidy doesn’t mean your opinion is bad either or means you should be banned.
Blizzard could even reply “Thanks for the heads up , we will look into it” As I said there is no need for a debate in that topic on the forums.
I know its not intentional, we are all guilty of veering off topic without meaning to. I just think its maybe not the best topic topic to veer off to as it may end up with this thread getting closed.
As for banned topics, I’m pretty sure we aren’t supposed to talk politics anyway but it is difficult when a subject matter is WoW related and political. Its a minefield that probably is best to avoid.
I just don’t think we will agree. People will agree and disagree with the additions. People are perfectly entitled to express those opinions. Providing they are not breaking the rules.
It all depends.
When Blizzard comes out with a statement supporting BLM, which they did again in the Dev Stream, I don’t have any issue with it being discussed on the forums. In the same way they did not censor people expressing opinions over Hong Kong.
I don’t see any need to discuss things like Brexit, it has no relevance at all, or who the president is of a country etc.
Not really as it’s part of the big picture and it was those threads regarding the gender thing that where included in my thought when I made this thread. So all’s good with the comments regarding it.
I dunno, the brexit posts asking what servers we would play on when we leave Europe were kinda funny…
So it seems that someone is following me and flagging me for no reason. I am curious if the mod team will do something against the people that abuse the flagging system…will they get a bit of chill time?
If that’s the case they will. That’s up for them to decide though. If you get banned for your flagged posts you can appeal it, they will link you an appeal link in the email.
ENOUGH with the clown!
You know (the person/s who flag me) that this is considered a direct targeting against me? I don’t think the mod team will agree with your “flagging system” , where you flag someone just because you dislike that person. I hope they give you a bit of time of rest…
Who is the clown?
Maybe tone it down with this and you’ll find yourself not flagged by people? All of these are example of violating the forum rules btw.
Send in the clowns
Not really, but you are infact breaking most of the forum rules in every second post you make, including that one.
If you can’t disagree with other people without stooping to this level & use negative remarks, direct insults & general demeaning statements, you shouldn’t post at all.
Walk away, really not worth it.
Just take a look at the thread topic and ask yourself if getting into a disagreement like this is bringing anything to the discussion?
The thread will end up locked.
I just met two of his points since he geniuenly didnt seem to understand why his posts are flagged by people.
But since he doesnt want to acknowledge that, yeah, no point in responding to him any further. He already admitted that he does this soley to troll anyway, which is also against the forum rules.
