I do get being silly for silly though. Guilty of that myself and probably will be in future.

You can’t argue that he’s escalated when the tone of his initial replies was conciliatory and even accomodating, agreeing to adopt a TRP3 and write a profile explaining the name IC - which, I would think, is what you wanted - while you were calling him ignorant and stupid.

You have no understanding of the impact of these things - because you’re not a Blizzard employee? He didn’t change the topic of conversation. The thread had already been derailed (another breach of the ToS).

Since those posts remain up I can only assume that they weren’t a breach of the ToS instead

I’m glad I do, I assumed since the PCU regularly complain about harassment in-game by OOC’ers and griefers that they had a moral objection to harassment and griefing. I assumed because you expected Vaxir to have a logical and morally consistent position on doxxing - i.e, that it’s bad, no matter who it happens to, and it’s not just bad because it happened to her - you too would demonstrate a logical and morally consistent position on griefing.

You can’t grief someone on the forums - unless you (once again) are making a new definition for a word to suit this long-winded post. I don’t really care or expect anything at all re. Vaxir - I’m not interested in their positions beyond mentioning them when they try to obfusticate (1x big word for you) the nature of those incidents

But this isn’t the case. I don’t know how else to describe harassment except repeatedly targeting somebody with verbal abuse, threats, intimidation, insults and derogation - all of which present at various points in that thread against Rabies. Elyrius, Vixi - PCU affiliated or not - Tehya, Pitchwrench, Utoobu, and… Zagkush (?) - all pitched in to mock and belittle him.

IDK maybe we’re in a different thread but I’m only seeing the last two things and I’m not so bothered

Like Vixi, I don’t know what else to call “I’m going to tell on you and you’re going to get in trouble” but a form of spiteful intimidation which implies the threat of consequences.

So, invoking the CoC (as you have twice in your post) = harassment? or is it 1x rule for you and 1x rule for Vixi?

I mean, to me - personal attacks are much worse than toy spamming! I operate in this weird zone where there’s a distinction between being inconvenienced and being hurt.

I think you aren’t super aware of what kind of in-game griefing happens on AD - calling someone’s name bad isn’t in the same ballpark - but I also know you don’t really believe any of this and are just typing for the sake of the post

I just assumed, through your past posts, that you actually abided by a set of standards and morals. I assumed by the sixteenth thread crying about OOC griefers that you had a sound and rational objection to griefing as a concept, and weren’t just mad you were on the receiving end instead of the giving.

Well, I don’t want to make anyone miserable - I’m not actually an extremely nasty guy - but I think that your example (this random dude who you intend to make your person martyr) could have done various things differently if he didn’t want the handful of forum posters ragging on his goofy OOC guild / goofy OOC name to grow into a 700 post thread

I don’t really need your permission to complain about something because outside of the forum you don’t really exist + I think the concept of “one of your guildmates + half the forums wasn’t polite enough to a guy about his name so now you deserve to be griefed loads” is a ideal you can sell very well on an RP server

Well tee bee haitch mate I just disagree that my original analogy was fallacious.

If not for an accident of personal circumstance, Vixi would be in the PCU, RP’ing with the PCU. She still clearly aligns herself with the values (ha) of the PCU, she likely has good relationships with the PCU, she is for all intents and purposes, except in name alone, a member of the PCU.
