Never said they didn’t, now you’re putting words into my mouth. She’s also famous if you haven’t forgotten, just not as famous.
I wouldn’t say that. I’ve read on the news many times how a woman has been punished for making false accusations, men have spent years of their life in prison for something they didn’t do, for accusations made by their ex.
Your problem is, you think someone is guilty because of words by someones mouth, or in your case, more than one persons mouth. How is that proof exactly? You could ask for Swifty haters to do a full essay on a load of bull that never happened, which is incredibly easy to do. You have nothing without evidence, nothing at all, and no-one should throw Swifty under the bus because of it.
People with bad mental health can create such havoc to make themselves feel better, mental health is very serious like that.
Basically you’re comparing actual proof to he say / she say. /clap.
Don’t even get into arguments like these, because when you actually bring the facts, and say, well where’s the police report, you are just gonna get called a women hater.
So honestly, when you see arguments like that, just ignore and move on, my 2 cents on this, yea sometimes it’s difficult, not to respond to such stupid arguments, but you don’t really gain anything from it, ignoring is probably the best option you have.
The point is that so far i haven;t see a police report on the swifty thing, and my general rule is, no police report, you are full of bs, if you actually were a victim of a crime, you would go to the police to report it as soon as possible, if you don’t, then the chances are 99 % of the time, that you actually were not a victim, you didn’t think it was important enough at the time, which is ridiculous considering the accusations, if you were a victim of a crime and do not report it, well, i don’t really know what to say aside from the fact that it’s quite dumb. Or, you could be just lying to get something out of someone.
I agree, innocent until proven guilty. But this is not about the law or criminal justice, this is about a PR move. Brands distancing themselfes from someone does not mean they’re declaring them as guilty. It’s a temporary measure of being safe that can be revoked if it turns out that the allegations aren’t true.
Any company would much rather be wrong than be associated with an abuser.
It can’t be revoked. Damage has been done. Blizzard shot down swifty but also shot themselves in foot.
Nobody asked for this, they did on their own.
Companies can deal with this, if someone asks, blizz should said “we are investigating things on our own before we take any action”.
And now they are facing backlash of community hate. Because who would want to be a part of company that even on slight chance of risk, they turn your back on you.
So.
If your boss fired you over some BS he read on twitter about you, then after couple of months apologized, would you want to work again for that company? I sure wouldn’t.
If your co-worker would be fired because of some rumors that might have been complete BS, you wouldn’t feel comfortable.
What do you think about people that make rash decision? Reckless at least or dangerous at worst.
Also image being fired over false accusation because trial by Twitter is more important that being judged by facts proved in a court.
Imagine not being able to work for a year, maybe with a family on your back, because no one want you because you are suspected to have done something wrong when you know you did nothing wrong.
Imagine how would a person feel about having his/her life ruined because someone decided to put up some bs.
But this does not matter in this day and age, people try their hardest to act like victims because this bring attention to them.
And people on the internet are ready to destroy someone life as soon as someone else speak up about said person.
Im still not understanding how all these accusations from many different girls/women all came out on same day against streamers on Twitch - is it a new movement ???
Yes I agree 100%. I think a lot of people here are kind of missing the point. There will probably never be any evidence one way or another to prove or disprove the alegations but Blizzard has put out a message to everyone that the moment you are accused of anything, with or without evidence, they will immediately take the position of being against you.
If you guys can imagine yourself being Swifty and lets just assume that you’re innocent as a thought exercise, how would it make you feel that the company whos game you have dedicated so much of your life towards has chosen to delete your mark on the game because someone decided that they were going to make up a lie about you, even when no one asked them to and no one would have said anything had they done nothing at all?
I’m not claiming I know whether he is innocent or not and we will never truely know. I do believe that he is, but regardless I really don’t think we should support Blizzard just throwing one of us to the side in this manner when no one wanted this.
Even if he IS guilty I would still rather have his NPC still in Ashran as a symbol of a company who won’t abandon us the moment that things get slightly risky for them than a company that will drop you in a heartbeat regardless of whether or not you actually did anything wrong.
Exactly. I think of such people as scum and don’t want to deal with them (people that jump to conclusions before thinking), even my willingness to play WoW has dwindled.
Another example is: Someone will say on twitter that you were botting, and within 24 hours blizzard deleted all your gold and gear but didn’t ban you. JUST IN CASE you were going to sell boosts or gold for real money.
And yet that is not the case, they are very carefully checking bots that it takes way too long.
Everyone seems to be going on as if the actual person has been stopped from playing rather than an inconsequential NPC being removed, possibly temporarily.
All i see is people switching back and forth cases when the person in question was banned in the past for actions.Even if i scrolled none said he is now banned, only that the npc is removed.
It does seem like a big coincidence that in the past week all of those pop up and some of them are years and months old.
He was banned a few yeas ago for deliberately crashing at least one server. After a backlash on the forums and elsewhere it was downgraded to a suspension and a warning.
Imagine comparing sexual harassment to botting. What an imbecile. And to the rest of the ignorant clowns in this thread, how about you actually educate yourself on why it takes years for most women to come forward.
