From reading some discussions online, and watching a few ranking videos, it seems that holy universally gets the spot as worst mythic + healer.
This feels kind of sad, as it’s pretty much been battling for the spot of worst m+ healer for most of BFA. It would be nice if blizzard could show holy some love, and at least put it at middle of the pack in M+.
I mean… Perhaps ? Balance changes aren’t finished yet tho, they did some pretty major changes in the past two weeks.
Nothing’s certain until the first few weeks of SL, once they start swinging the nerf bat After the raid release we should have a pretty accurate idea of how they’ll perform in 9.0
Not saying you should expect them to actually be buffed, but pay attention to the weekly update. There may be a good change introduced before launch.
Priest lacks a B-rez and that might potentially even the playing field vs druid, as for h-pala in current season your not going to be able to make anything comparably close to ineffable truth paladin imho.
The way holy priest plays makes it naturally one of the weaker healers, 0 dps, having to hard cast your main heal and don’t preserve mana all to well.
You could maybe see them during bursting since it can be mass dispelled now.
Good on you Grovi, I’ve still yet to master resto shaman M+ healing, I loved healing on him until M+ came along, and it showed me just how much I sucked. So respect.
M15 has always been about player not class/spec. That class/spec thing is up-up above, but 15 is meant to be reachable for everyone. Our 1st mount run at start season start (all dungeons 15) was done with a shaman.
Also had priests heal us, even a monk.
But of course no class wants to “just do 15s” - it is fair to want to be 20+ worthy without being a prodigy and professional player.
Thing is everything holy can do disc can do better, there’s simply no reason to play holy priest over disc right now especially in m+.
Holy has poor tank healing, no bres, no damage, no externals and poor survivability, to make holy desirable for m+ they would need to completely redefine the spec.
