Future of Classic

Always TBC. Much better game than Classic all-around. Announce it ASAP.

Yes, but Summoning Stones are not related to LFG interface.
If there wasn’t Summoning Stones, there can still be LFG interface and viceversa.

And as someone else already told you (and I wrote it too in that reply), to use summoning stones there must be atleast two people.
Two people that have to run to the dungeon and summon people there (like you do in Classic now if you have a warlock in party and someone is still far from dungeon).
Summoning Stone is just a warlock that doesn’t need soul shards and doesn’t occupy a party slot :stuck_out_tongue:

Btw it seems like we can’t agree on that point, so I just hope you will try it once TBC Classic releases  we all already tried it (some on retail TBC, where it wasn’t that much used, others on TBC private servers, where it was used more as people had more knowledge of the game after 10+ years).
If you still hate it after trying it, no problem, there’s always Trade/LfG chat to use!

Legion got a lot of praise too. But I never played it, so I can’t compare.

i didn’t say they are, I said that they (together with a middle-man interface which finds people for you) is almost (fair enough, rather subjective term) the LFG which ruined so much of retail.

I know, so it ruined the travel experience (the magic of the world) for the other 3.

Fair enough. Personally I don’t like the warlock ability either but at least it has the quality of providing a ton of class uniqueness and value, unlike the Summoning StoNE.

If time allows I would be very happy to. Especially since I want to see a version of retribution paladin which isn’t underpowered haha.

There is one thing that needs to be taken into account. Classic offers lot of RPG elements and RPG driven complex gameplay. Let’s say lvl 60 five mans. You need to return there all the time, which offers play mates for newbies. You need to go there to craft, to collect crafting stuff, to collect stuff for enchants, to do raid quests, class quests, to make some money, etc. and all that is linked with each other, it is dictated by the world and there is always a good reason to run this and that high level dungeon, for reasons more or less compatible with immersion. Now, even Blizzard itslef was not capable of reproducing this, because during TBC they obviously knew this was a good thing, but instead of developing that idea further they introduced a stupid badge system. Which clearly shows a complete lack of imaginative ideas. And every other MMO followed that lead. And we all know where it has taken us. Now if there has been nobody able to come up with an imaginative, RPG driven MMO with RPG elements and complexity which Classic offers for those whole 16 years… (16 years for Christ sake!) isn’t bringing up this Classic+ idea somewhat… risky, guys?

As a person who has yet to muster the will to go into Scholo for those damn skins, I’d rather have badges definitely. Back in summer 2008 I farmed those dungeons with my tankadin for hours every day. In Vanilla/Classic, even a single BRD takes the life out of me.

You think you speak for everyone, but you don’t. The very reason why Blizz made TBC dungeons the way they were is becase SM was by far the most popular sub60 dungeon in Vanilla.

Yes becouse of rewards.

Heroic dungeons were fine gameplay wise but failed in aspect of immersion and being in big open space what felt like adventure. Difficulty levels simply do not belong into mmorpg games it kinda kills immersion and everthing becomes feel pike you just playing with different systems of sliders intead as actual dangerous dungeon crawl.

Partly that - it feels more rewarding to work towards an actual item than working hard for 1-2 hours to get into a place to craft a few flasks. And partly the fact TBC dungeons were both shorter and more engaging, gameplay-wise.

I want a classic Karazhan how it was originally intended + the raid which lays in Winterspring. You can actually see the entrance if you ride there. Also Azshara with it’s originally intended content that got dropped because of TBC would be nice. There are so many great possibilites. I’d really enjoy a different outcome than 13years ago.

Thanks. I had a look at it but the models (humans only?) does not appeal to me.
WoW spoiled me. Elder Scroll online is the closest I seen, but I did not like it either.
Sorry for off topic.

We are not getting classic+

ever

Did you not see the Elves and the cat people?

You’re right.
And looking at what blizzard dishes out these days, I’m glad.

I just want a fresh server with

  • progressive itemization and
  • a better content release cycle
  • with PVP system, BGs and honor weekends from day 1.
  • Raids tuned to their “hardest killable version”, basically pre-nerf BWL and MC.
  • Spellbatching window lowered to 50ms would also be pretty neat.

So in short, I just want Nostalrius / Light’s Hope with a Blizzard sticker on it.
