To sum it up yes they are A-holes and no they don’t care. In fact killing a helpless lower level player gives them great joy as you are at their mercy and they are here to kill you over and over just because they can. Not only do they enjoy killing you but they also if not more enjoy seeing you act out about it because they are basically trolls. Rogues will be their number one favourite class sometimes feral druids if they are powerful enough but Blizz nerf them a lot and some devs at Blizzard really likes rogues and think it is OK to give a class so much damage combined with CC chain AND escaping + heal mechanisms. They can cc chain you and exert high burst damage and if they get in trouble if others might come to your aid, poof they just vanish and stalk you in the shadows waiting for the opportune moment to pounce you again and again and again and again…
The only solution would be to toggle off war mode and don’t give them the satisfaction. Toggle war mode back on when you think you have less A-hole players around. They most likely eat pop corn and smirk reading your QQ post.
The better solution is join a proper PvP guild that loves World PvP!!! One word on the guild chat and they will flock to your location to exact revenge. They can even use you as bait and wait for him to pounce and jump him as well.
Im levelling in STV at the moment and our server is over run with Horde. I am constantly getting ganked and i love it! This is why I started playing again.
I got ganked by a 38 priest and 31 shammy when I was level 33. Instead of crying about it, I waited until they thought I was gone and they were killing mobs, then I jumped on them and took them both out. Thats why I rolled on a PVP server
Killing other enemy players indeed has nothing to do with that.
But camping a low level who has no chance in hell to fight back, making it impossible for him to play, is a total lack of empathy, forgetting that there are real people behind the keyboard. It makes you a bully.
Sometimes when questing in a area, there might be a equal lvl horde there as well…both minding our own things.
The MOMENT another horde arrives, i bet there is a 80% chance they will attack and kill me.
No hard feelings about that, but the only thing i regret in that situation is that i didnt kill the horde before they became 2…
And if i did that, questing would not be possible cause retaliation would surely happen…
It is a pvp server. It is meant for people who want to engage in open pvp wherever they go. You are at fault here. If you don’t want to get ganked, pick a pve server. I was shocked to see pvp being the most popular realm type. And now we have tons of pvp servers full of people like OP who should have rolled on a PvE realm…
PvP servers are a constant war between Horde and Alliance. You kill everyone you see. It doesn’t matter if they are low level or busy fighting mobs. If you don’t want that kind of experience you should play on a PvE realm.
What you say is that you imply that just because you can do a thing, you must do it.
Personally, it costs me nothing to ignore a newbie who is defenseless and gives me no gain anyway. Yeah, I may kill him once, to show him he’s the enemy. But corpse/GY camping make you definitely an a$$hat. You have the choice not to do it, yet you do it, it just shows your personality.
I don’t give a crap about what people do on a PvP server within the rules, and ganking/camping newbies is definitely in the rules. What amuses me is when bullies refuse to admit what they are. Grow some balls !
What makes me laugh is when people think they are so “kewl” because they repeatedly kill defenseless players in a video game. Not a surprise from the actual generation, but still pathetic.
Yes, if you camp a defenseless player in order to make his game time miserable, you are a sociopathic bully. Because what you describe is making fun from another defenseless player’s misery, and that’s a total lack of empathy and sign of sociopathic disorder.
That’s where you have the lack of empathy. Making no difference between a defenseless level 20 mob controlled by a computer and a defenseless level 20 character controlled by a human being.
Again, I don’t give a crap about what you are in game. What amuses me is the refusal to admit it. No balls, pathetic cowards.
I’m definitely not “name calling” people who kill me. Actually, it’s usually me doing the killing. But at least I accept what I am when I’m doing so. Not many are as bold to do the same. And I’m not camping newbies to make their game time miserable.
As I said, today’s MMO PvP gamers engaging in such activities are pathetic coward bullies looking for easy kills but refusing to be called what they are: pathetic coward bullies. No balls, no courage.
Maybe I enjoy playing the game the way I do because I’m not really like that in real life, even though at times I would really like to be?
I could use the same arguement to say the same about you, you like to play the game and act on forums like a hero, because you would never have the courage to do it irl.
Role Playing Games are about playing a role, nothing to do with real life.
I like to pick out a random lowbie and corpse camp him/her for hours on end. I like to play with my prey. I let them run for a bit after I have taken their hp down quite a bit. I proceed to chase them across the universe and kill them. Repeat the process over and over again until he/she logs off. Then I wait for a while. They might return. If not, I go about my business. I hate the Horde.
