Thats what u deserve. They are listeningā¦money rustle from boosting.
Player versus Player
- The Honor cost to upgrade Unrated gear reduced by around 25%, and the Conquest cost to upgrade Rated gear has been adjusted to spread across the new ranks.
No 2 sets - gear for rating still.
P.S. Also.
- 220 unranked PvP gear can be bought with Conquest at 1600 PvP rating.
P.S. Good change for boosters, more players will buy boosting to 1600 just to buy conquest gear.
So at 9.1.5 u do first grind full honor gear, then suffer/struggle in ranked till 1600 and only then u will be able to buy conquest gear from PvP vendor. Ofc if u have geared frend or VISA/MASTER CARD friend u wonāt suffer or struggle.
Yeh itās Ć¼ber depressing.
Once my main was maxed at 197 (vs 227) I ditched it due to garbage gameplay & started levelling some alts through BGās (which I really enjoyed). But once they hit 60 & I remembered āendgameā for unrated players was being fodder, it drained all my motivation to log in.
Canāt blame you.
Donāt waste anymore time & money waiting for WoW to improve.

By the way, yes.
First, if you are a booster, you can use your conquest to gear up another booster toon.
Second, if you are a booster, people have a whole new reason to be buying conquest caps.
I used to be naive and think that Blizzard are above doing things specifically to help boosters. I thought whatever they are doing just inadvertently ends up helping them. But after seeing so many such inadvertent things and just a couple of things that go in the reverse direction, I really think that yes, they are doing this intentionally. Yes, they are adjusting the game in order to expand the booster business. To get more money from tokens.
They said themselves that over the last few years the number of players reduced but the income didnāt. Because average spending per player increased. Thatās significant, and yes, I believe, thatās part of the strategy now (and perhaps has been for like 3-4 years already).
Brave new world.
Fully ready to see in-game features to facilitate boosts directly. You know, a separate tab āplayers helping playersā. You go there, type āweekly cap M+ā, have a list of sellers with their prices, can check their RIO and whatnot. Select a seller. Pay your gold. Blizzard take your gold and teleport you and the seller to an instance. You get a run. If the run succeeds, the seller gets your gold from Blizzard (sans a 10% cut) and asks you to rate him 5 stars or whatever. Done. Same for PVP. āA social game.ā ))

Yes, they need payers, not players. And they will do everything thats possible to increase their potencial numbers. Monetization thru ingame mechanics and gameplay the most toxic i ever seen, especially in B2play model with sub fee. Even unique cosmetic sells in shop much better - its just smaller evil. People donāt want to play - they want grab money, gold.
I had a lot of fun in RBG once I farmed 7/7 upgraded honor gear. Obtaining that gear was easy, however it took a lot of honor grinding. My character was just a punching bag until I completed my gearset, but I was okay with it.
Things started to change once people started obtaining upgraded conquest gear. At that point even my upgraded honor gear wasnāt enough to be competitive. I couldnāt get any better gear without doing rated PvP. And getting into a good group was tough. So I quit for a while.
Long story short: I wish they would reduce the gap between gearsets so RBG players at least get a fair fighting chance, even if the gear is a bit worse.

Get out whilst you can.
Gearing system is awful as itās making people sit on rating (myself included) and purchase boosts. Iāve been pushing for the removal of the ranking system since December but itās no use.
We canāt really enjoy ourselves and just play because everyone is so desperate to maintain rating. Itās realistic and human to lose your first couple of games with a new team.
Also, you canāt even play the spec you want because thereās a clear difference between the likes of BM, Arms, WW, DH and Rogues currently. Unless you play one you wonāt get into groups or actually succeed.
this whining is beyond xD u dont want people to sit rating but do it urself instead of just playing the game and get better so that ur able to maintain that raiting by just playing.
like idk speek for urself. i enjoy the game and play pvp if i want to regardless of the rating i lose/win. maybe change ur way of thinking/playing the game instead of going full tryhard and not having fun because of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, here we have the classic character.
And yes people will change their mind and unsub. Like others before them.

People have absolutely zero interest in starting to āearnā rating with 30K HP against 50K+ opponents. Rating is 100% worthless virtual joke number. It has zero value in real life. Yet it gates people to even start doing any form of PvP.

Untill players willing to pay for boosting, gearing system will never change. On paper they have nice PvP practice + $ income. I donāt know what going to be happens that change their mind. If only q will be dead, but its not. Even here on forum u can find far not 1 person who paid for PvP. People even ready to pay RL on epic BGs to play with them and get ez win.
Yeh Iām off in a few weeks.
I canāt justify paying for such a garbage experience anymore.
ye please just leave but also stop crying in the forums all day as well. just leave it behind. i will keep on playing my two already fully geared chars that i only played casually to begin with xD
btw its outstanding how many arenagames u played. ofc u cant handle what u experienced so far in 0 games
How many arena games is one expected to play before competing in battlegrounds?
ā¦or do the two entirely different formats require entirely different playstyles, tactics, situational awareness & game knowledge?
I care about Arena as much as I care about flower picking (zero).
ā¦& even if I was a high rated Arena player, the problem of massive gear disparity & uncompetitive games would persist.

if u would play arena and are not delusional/whiny about everything u would realize that there is no such thing. i play at ~1.9k rating in 2s and most people are on the same gear there. ofc some people who have 2.1k in 3s or rbgs have better gear but thats how it is. que up and go for it thats it. boosters i see very rarely and if i do i sometimes even win because there partner is trash.
ah okay i forgot u just a randomBG player. ye then life is hard.
Hmm u are talking a tbc clasic arena?
Hahahhaha. Skillcaped so true.
