Don’t worry, nothing has ever gone wrong when goblin engineers put their mind to something.
Your cheekbones and tusks are in safe hands.

This is ridiculous Gender change, haha!
Whats next, Bliz gonna listen to overly-vocal fine-arts gender-studies majors drop-outs street-activists who is going to claim that there is more than 1 gender?
I was brought my entire server’s supply of 55 bottles for 3.5k
I needed an edge in trial of style flirty competitions, didn’t realise visual buffs get removed.
Umm. I don’t know how to tell you this. There is more than 1 gender. Like, massively famously so. There has been since the start of our species. We’re kind of similar to almost every other species on the planet in that regard…We have like, at the very least two Genders. At the very least…
You might want to have “That Talk” with an adult…
Even before then. Hell, pretty much every multicelluar organism reproduces sexually using a binary system, and even those which have the ability to do so asexually prefer to do so to ensure genetic diversity in their offspring.
Truth be told based on that 1 gender part (assuming it wasn’t a typo) I think they’re talking ironically.
It was a typo There are 2 genders.
Oof.
Well atleast learned for next time (i hope so atleast)
Technically there are 0 genders as gender is a made up social construct
This may be being pedantic but it is a personal bugbear of mine when language gets mangled like this.
Gender = The set of stereotypical expectations society places on you due to your birth sex. What clothes you should wear, jobs you should do, hobbies you should like. This changes depending on which society you are a part of.
E.g Girls can’t do engineering. Boys can’t like anything pink or sparkly.
Sex = Whether you are a man or a woman. Whether you are the sex class that can potentially impregnate someone or the sex class who can potentially gestate babies (I added the potentially as some may not be able/want to).
So you are talking about characters changing sex, not gender.
Rant over. Carry on as you were.
Ah I thought it was the other way round.
True. But something can be about one thing, yet implicitly hinting at something else.
The OP’s post purports to be confirming gender changes when it’s just a clarification on terminology used to refer to the person from them/they to he/him. There is NOTHING to suggest it is anything more than that.
And I can’t say this any other way.
Please don’t say things like this as though they are objective fact.
I understand that you feel a certain way, but let me put this to you.
if a person had spent their entire life in a room that was 20 degrees, how do you think this person would be able to understand and talk to others about temperature? what it’s like to get frostbite? or what it’s like to sweat?
if your gender has always matched your sex, then you don#t really have much of a basis for comparison.
There is a reason why you can take any woman from any culture and she will be able to more easily relate to women from other cultures.
you can have a girl grow up in complete isolation or even in a house full of boys, being told she is a boy, and yet she will still be a woman, relate to women more easily and exhibit female personality traits.
It’s still a relatively unexplored field, but gender is not purely social, it is also largely down to brain structure and hormones, etc. otherwise, how would any creature expect to be able to nurture children etc.? male and female are clearly behaviourally different on a fundamental level.
Most people won’t really understand this because they have not had to try and figure this out, but having the wrong parts attached to your body, is a very uncomfortable and strange experience. imagine a parasite latched itself onto your arm. then you could start to imagine what it’s like to have something alien attached to your body that isn’t supposed to be there.
I am a woman who loves football, hates shopping and am a physicist. I took a well known charity’s gender spectrum quiz and apparently I was born in to the wrong body.
How can anyone see that as anything but being very based on outdated sexist stereotypes?
Why have you objected to actual facts (what words mean) and responded with a sexist factoid such as ‘put women in a room with a vastly different culture and they will get on so much better than a man/woman would in the same situation’. I’d like to see the research on that.
Not sure wow general is the place for this discussion exactly, but as you objected to my post I thought I better answer.
I also find this very sexist.
My husband managed to nurture the children just fine.
It’s a very old fashioned view.
That quiz you took was a load of crap. No quiz can tell you your gender.
I like video games, horror films, I play tabletop games, I love engineering, can’t stand makeup, knitting, sewing, etc. I’m am very masculine for a girl, but I am still a girl (my brother says i’m like the drummer in scott pilgrim). If I wasn’t, there is no way the psychiatrists would have signed off to give me such extreme treatments so many years ago, and I would be very unhappy with how I look now. my experience of my gender within society is influenced by that society, but my gender identity is innate.
And it’s not sexist to acknowledge a fact of nature. just watch a few nature programs, it’s blindingly obvious. male animals behave differently from female animals.
The fact that humans tend to go against our normal expected instincts, doesn’t deny what those instincts are. Men are generally driven to mate with as many females as they can. women are driven to do the opposite, to vet each male suitor, to make sure she doesn’t make a mistake and end up pregnant with an inferior suitor. these are instincts. we may not always follow them, but they are there.
There’s a reason why I always found it threatening when a guy wanted to hang out with me . I didn’t understand it at the time, because I’ve never been attracted to men and these guys were not attracted to me. I just found it threatening for some reason. I know why now. it was instinct. even though the doctors told me I was a boy, my parents told me I was a boy, my appearance told me I was a boy, society told me I was a boy, some part of me knew I wasn’t.
and stop with the ‘words have definitions’ crap. words evolve constantly as we get a better understanding of concepts. That’s why I can call this collection of words a ‘post’ and people don’t think it’s a piece of wood stuck in the ground.
Yes there is a socially constructed notion of gender roles. I’ll apologise if I gave teh impression I was denying this, but gender itself is much more.
Is it not good to add Gender swap to the barbershop? I mean you will not have to pay money for it I call that a win
More likely blacksmith or jewelcrafter
There’s no way Blizzard will add a free appearance change in-game.
Still it will be sweet :3
