That’s your justification? The fact that we play on a pvp server says I like to pvp…not that i want to get ghost camped every time i try to raid or dungeon grind.
Theres really no refuting the ToS…it is what it is…Blizz should really write a guide on how not to be an a$$ clown, some folk could really use the advice…
Dispelling is a part if the PvP experience. It’s called World of WARcraft. The goal is to undermine the opposing faction however possible, that includes removing their buffs. If you can’t handle that, reroll PVE.

A Priest used one of his class abilities and gets banned. Wtf is this?
I was spamming Dispell all morning in BGs today, people could see that as “griefing” as they then have to rebuff and sit and drink again.
Blizzard customer service is an absolute farce. We are infested with bots and exploits and this is what they are focussing their efforts on.
Let these man-children who throw a tantrum about losing buffs for an already trivial raid cry into their pillows and question their existence.

Or they could state that it is griefing and ban those who do it all day… Either way it would be silly to transfer just for that reason.
As crappy as it gets, being a buttcrack shouldn’t warrant a 6 months suspension. Spending your entire day dispelling world buffs is not a bannable offense unless blizzard specifically tells you so in their rules.

Can’t play account for 6 months because he made some random dude’s raid take a few seconds longer.
Seems legit.

Yes. Yes it definitely should.
In 2020 blizzard gms job is to sit in popular streamers twitch channel a do what ever he says? Well now we know why no bots are getting banned.

Oh yeah, if you are camped by a +20 level dude all day that’s all fine but my oh my if someone is disspeling you that’s the ultimate kind of monkey business.
Legit.

People who do things solely to make the life of other people miserable are psychopaths and should not be welcomed or accepted in any community, let alone WoW.
Yes dispelling buffs and camping low level zones isn’t against the ToS, yes it’s technically “acceptable”. But ask yourself what and who that kind of person is doing this? They clearly got some major problem and should be shunned by society until they get some treatment.
Would not Blizzard have made the buffs non dispellable if they would consider loosing them to be an offence (6 month ban in that case)?

You would think that was the case…
If raiding with 200 less attack power makes your life miserable I would consider playing a different game.
If you really think that, then maybe you are the one who should be shunned by society for caring that much about your 56x56 pixel icons.

Ive read every single post in here and people still has not explained what grief he is causing the streamer by dispelling his buff.

Oof that’s a scary one. Better hope you didn’t happen to queue into some friend of a GM otherwise you might get a 6 month ban for that.

Come on men, do you not understand? He lost 10 minutes of his life because he started getting world buffs 15 minutes before the raid like a real MT does. Realistically, the only reasonable punishment is to ban the dispeller for 259200 minutes for the 10 minutes of inconvenience he caused.
From the information that was available it would seem that it wasn’t the first first time that person was griefing that guild by dispelling and the reason I use griefing is because of how pin pointed and reaccuring their actions were.
Do I think 6 months is harsh? Absolutely I think 2 weeks would have been justified but 6 months seems a bit overkill and probably was due to the fact that a GM was watching the stream.
Did he deserve some punishment? Your damn right he did because to Wpvp and to dispell during fights is all fair game but to purposely post yourself where you know people from the guild will be and remain dead until they show up purely to dispell is absolutely griefing and should be dealt with.
Whether or not you think the actual World buff being lost is a big deal or not isn’t the issue here the bigger issue is that this player was harassing and griefing an entire guild based on the actions of an ex guild member and that is against TOS.
And for people who think that now Streamers are untouchable its pretty much been that way since like WoD that streamers have this type of protection as Blizzard dont want to be known as ignoring rule breaking so when its blatantly happening live they are bound to do something.

Couldn’t the same be said for killing people 10v1 when you run into them?
Is that griefing too?
Is it griefing every time you die from wPvP?
Obviously not what I am referring to. I mean people who do stuff which serves no other reason than to be a purely negative action, with no benefit to the person doing it, that’s the actions of a psychopath and someone with issues.
See above. Normal fighting and PvP in BRM, fine. But as someone said above, to wait as ghost, purposefully to target one person or group, when it has zero benefit or positive effect for you, and serves only to grief and have negative effect on them. This person needs some help irl they are clearly mentally disturbed and these actions should not be accepted by the community even if the letter of the EULA or TOS “allows” it.
