GM banned a world buff dispeller for 6 months because of his streamer getting dispelled

Therefor everybody needs a pocket GM for the times she/he/it feels griefed.

Lets make a petition.

Did anyone used to do this in the original game? No I doubt it. Of course, buffs were not abused in the way they are these days and removing them would have an overall positive effect on the game in my own opinion, but that is a separate topic.

Clearly the actions of people now were never considered in original ToS or EULA so maybe it would be time for a rethink? I doubt it. Blizzard don’t care about this enough and it’s trivial issue. But GM’s handing out bans to players who contribute nothing but hatred and negativity to the world
 that seems ok to me.

Ofc ppl dispelled already in vanilla. Be it BB or BRM.

edit: and Blizz could easily prevent it. Just make the buffs nondispellable outside bgs.

Completely pathetic, This GM Needs fired and a statement needs to be sent out by Blizzards CM Team

If you don’t want people to be able to dispell your buffs why pick a pvp server?

But yes, the bigger issue is a corrupt GM there.

just make world buffs not dispellable and get this fiesta over with already xD

Dispelling buffs all day is lame, but not against the TOS. That player shouldn’t have been banned
and the GM should get fired.

On a sidenote, I’ve never been more glad I rolled a carebea-
I mean pve server. 99% less drama.

This is absolutely disgusting.

PvE servers exist for a reason. If this streamer had been playing on one while broadcasting his gameplay to anyone who cares to watch he wouldn’t have to worry about getting his precious buffs dispelled. The moment you roll on a PvP server you open yourself up to getting corpsecamped & dispelled.

This ban should be reverted immediately and the GM in question should be fired.

So they banned the right person for the wrong reason.

So ganking should be equally bannable by your standard or even ah playing.

Reminds me of when people said “I’m looking forward to playing on official servers because I’m tired of corrupt GMs
”

Yes it is.

You don’t dispell people to help them, you do it to people because you know how angry it makes people. That’s called griefing.

If you do something in game for the sole purpose of making somebody angry or wasting somebody’s time, you are a griefer. Accept that simple fact.

If we start banning all that ppl find frustrating then we’ll have raid boss banned.

On the “Hate Worldbuff” threads : “They are mandatory you know, you don’t need them to raid, if you hate them don’t use them”

When they get dispelled : “WTF THIS IS GRIEFING MY GAME IS RUINED THEY ARE IMPORTANT”

The problem in this case is the abuse of power. They ban ALL dispellers for griefing or non of them.

I’m not in favour of people being banned for griefing, but people should be honest with themselves and call it what it is.

People dispell Wbuffs to cause anger and distress. That isn’t a noble act, it’s plain old griefing.

wait wait what ?

that doesn’t make any since
you sure he didn’t just get banned from the stream not the game it self

as long as you don’t use that term to identify exploits or bannable stuff than it’s fair.
