I am deactivating my account that I have been actively playing for 20 years. The game is full of bots, I have been reporting it for 2 months, no action is taken, your quality is not the same as before. I will play a different game now, have a nice day.
Seeing some certain sites it appears that banwaves do hit them but as usual they come back with similar names so it appears no action has been taken.
Elimination is not possible, because if bots were banned on detection/when they’re created they would just expeloit their way around it faster until it does. It’s several hundred botting workshops against one anti cheat company.
It’s fairly wishful thinking as the combined gaming industry which is larger then Blizzard’s still hasn’t found a definite solution other then detection, enforcement in various ways like banwaves and other psychological benefits/detriments like rewarding good behaviour/punishing the bad with time bans, reduced rewards or perma’s.
But if you do have a good suggestion you’re welcome to add through the ingame panel
Blizzard has proving again and again that banning the bots won’t work. They are fighting professionals.
Go for the gold buyers - if they catch just - say - 10% of the gold buyers I guess most people will think twice before buying gold.
If you ban gold buyers, the online will quickly drop to zero, this game is interesting only from an economic point of view. Buying gold is not provable, unlike a bot, which is easy to figure out by constantly repeating patterns over a long period of time.
Those who call for banning for buying gold simply do not understand what nonsense they are talking, the same as treating a patient’s headache by cutting off the head.
No. People wanting the easy way (aka Retail) will drop - and they won’t be missed.
Those who want Classic with its quirks and farms will stay. Take your pick.
Those who want to play for free have been playing on fan servers for a long time, where all the items do not need to be painstakingly obtained and spend a lot of time, but everything is available immediately and for free - all that remains is to enjoy the game in full gear and without gold, I advise you to play on a fan server, there is no gold there. Normal players want to play a game with an economic component, that’s why many love the fresh server so much, which is confirmed by the high online and prices for gold, characters and services.
aka buing gold so you can skip the game and buy stuff. That is not playing the game. That is not the Classic spirit. That is simply just cheating. Mostly yourself.
Your point of view is based on the fact that “Classic spirit” is a complete absence of trade relations between players. This is clearly a wrong position. The strong and most attractive side of vanilla is the economic component, which implies a holistic world without fly mounts, in which players compete for limited resources and fight for them (they have their own territory and spheres of influence) or players successful in PVE, drop out rare recipes and have income from this or professional summoners and different professions and so on - all this makes the world alive, realistic and creates Classic spirit!
Classic spirit is trade between real people (without the participation of robots)
No, you are answering gibberish, and you do that by putting words in my mouth:
And from that statement - which i never said anything about - you start talking and talking … but my original point was just to ban gold buyers - the players cheating in the game. You ignored that completely, and even defended them.
Bots are primarily automation. You can automate the process of identifying or searching for a bot. In other words, you can make a bot to search for and ban bots.
You are suggesting to ban a significant part of the game, which sounds ridiculous. There is no need to ban the use of money, that is what it was created for, to buy and sell. If for you the use of money is a scam, I suggest you go back to the Stone Age and exchange goods for animal skins.
From your words, cheaters are ordinary players, those who buy/sell gold. But this is a wrong position, they are not cheaters.
Cheaters are those who automate the process and interfere programmatically, there is also a bug-use in various manifestations, but it can also be classified as using a game vulnerability.
You classify an ordinary player who is too lazy to farm gold for chemistry and decides to buy a little (having done something nice for the seller, who is also an ordinary player and earned extra game gold) - as a cheater. This is a lying nonsense, stop misleading the company, their income and our pleasure from the game, which you are diligently trying to spoil, depend on this understanding.
following your logic, if a type of cheat is used in pvp (one-shots in pvp), then all players participating in pvp battles should be banned, since their activities attract pvp cheaters.
