Greedy players

So because they have better gear than you and contributed the same if not more (better gear better preformnace)… they shouldn’t be treated like you and be able to roll because…
…sorry I don’t really see a logic here
Disenchant, mog, selling for gold or offering to sell others witch you are not forced to accept… whatever their reason to roll, they have the same amount to “right to roll” than you… are they not?

Entitled. How is this any different to winning the roll on personal loot and selling it to someone else who needs it?

Why do so many people keep not understanding how PL works? You are complaining that people are rolling need on items they don’t really need. With PL every single person in the raid is rolling need automatically and then the loot is generated for the top rolls. So to put this into perspective if you already lost the roll in GL you definitely would have lost it in PL.

The only advantage PL has over GL is that loot is generated for the people in the raid and not for classes that you don’t have present.

One thing that I’m sure Blizz are aware of but haven’t fully put into practise yet is: if you give someone an inch, they’ll take a mile.

You have to build your systems not only around what your vision is but also by asking yourself, “Can and how will players abuse this?”

People, at their core, are selfish. Your systems have to ensure that the reach of this selfishness is limited as much as possible.

As it stands right now, the system doesn’t do that, hence the current situation.

It should balance out over time but it’s neither feasible or realistic for people to pay directly for other people’s repairs. Yes, it is collective and no, I’m not special. But I’m not telling everyone else not to do it. People play how they want. Roll on every item or just the ones you need, doesn’t really bother me. I was just giving the thought process behind why I do, not looking for acceptance or validation.

I know about loss on death and gradual decline whilst in combat but I also thought that being directly hit also takes additional durability. But, if you are right then I’ve learned something new today.

I sold a trinket once from Aberrus. I didn’t plan to, I had the same but champion tier but won hero one. One warlock whispered and said 400k or so, I decided to sell it. Was not really my intention but already back then I was thinking to maybe make another race for my lock, so I thought it’s a sign in a way. I also did not view it as a huge upgrade because only for top players that difference would be THAT important. (Might be wrong here).

My point is, not all selling is bad…

The first mistake was to expect some “sportmanship” from LFR.
Everything is greedy at LFR cause you are in there for themselves. Why should it concern me what a random pug number #834345 which I will never meet, gets or doesnt get lootwise.

In a guild setting sure. Cause you are part of a team and thus teamwork should be prioritized.

There is a big difference between PL and GL.

In PL, a player never gets more than 1 loot per boss. e.g. if the boss drops 5 pieces of gear, they will always be distributed to 5 different people.

In GL, a player can win all 5 pieces (if he can use them, and win all the rolls), and rest 24 people get nothing.

Oh nooo… Anyway.

When it is possible to need people do it. You cant blame the players, its blizzard who made the system

Bring back PL!

We need personal loot for LFR.
And we need master loot for guild runs.

People responsible for loot system don’t seem to have a slightest idea how wow works and what players want.

Better geat not always equal better performance, if you have zero skills.

Just to go there to need everything to sell x items to hope to fool some people to pay you y gold is greedy and pathetic.

I know and sadly a reason why i cant be bothered with lfg tool pugging raids.

waiting, replacing after every boss into more waiting, „curve and blabla“ but the first boss that cant be zerged with lust shows that half the raid is boosted into everyone needing on everything
:frowning:

ive had enough now of this ninja looting i really have between friday 3pm uk time and today 17.30 22 items have been taken by ninja looters alone this is getting beyond a joke now BLIZZARD DO SOMETHING !!!

Please explain and enlighten me!
How someone who contributed as much as you to kill the boss somehow less entitled to roll and have a gear/weapon/trinket/accesory, regardless what he needs for, disenchant, mog, selling it, or anything than you?
How this is “ninja loot”?
On the same note, that is “ninja loot” or “forbidden!” if god forbid someone wants to play other spec in his class, and as a DPS rolls - oh my, dare I write it? - Tank Or Healer stuff too… ?

If this concerns Retail looting, using PL/GL is not considered “ninjalooting” even if in your personal opinion you would’ve been able to use the loot “better”.

Blizzard will not “do something” as no rules were broken.

In modern World of Warcraft the only loot methods are Personal Loot for dungeons and Group Loot for raids. Loot can be traded to an eligible party member within two hours. Most loot can be traded to an eligible party member within two hours. If the player you want to trade with is not on the same realm, the trade must be completed before leaving the instance and group. For more information on trading loot, visit our Can’t Trade Loot article.

Customer Support does not recognize agreements to bypass the Group Loot system and will not redistribute loot due to disputes between players.

Agree 100%, people can make all the claims they want about loot distribution, and i cant speak for anyone else, but i know for a fact that i got more loot with PL. I am absolutely convinced that PL has some kind of personal bad luck protection, that group loot doesn’t have.
Personal Loot is the best and most fair loot system in my oppinion. With group loot, people can actively choose to be jerks and need on stuff they dont need, on PL that decision is taken from the player. People might still get loot they dont need, but they dont actively decide to take it. And before anyone makes the counter argument “people can also choose to be the good guy and pass on loot they dont need” You can still do that with PL, nothing stops you from rolling off or giving away loot you dont need, aside from Blizzards stupid rule about trading items that are technically a upgrade purely based on item level, that is. That used to happen quite a lot actually.
Cross realm gold trading has deffinitly brought out the greed in certain types, but lets face it, those people would do the same thing with either system in place.

Well, if your going to add caveats to “need”. How about if you died in first minute, you get a -99 on your roll. Or if you did tank dps for your item level the same.

The need button works on rng, simple. Your luck sucks, then you watch nabs win stuff. End of story.

If the system lets you press need and you win, then what that person does with that loot is their business and no one else’s. You can call geared people greedy and I doubt they will give a flying f… but blame the system not the player.

As for crying about LFR loot…
