Handling raid loot / roles

DKP are only a currency.
There are still leaders and officers, who see what people do in raids.

Ok name one loot council guild with mc clear time below 40 mins. Thats rightcant find one cuz it doesnt exist. As i said dkp leads to people playing badly, which leads to bad raids

Queueguy = Spellbatching?
Cause it reads a lot like it.

The guy is trying to argue that dkp guilds can be good, then he cant name a single dkp guild that is good… kind of pathetic

I don’t see how it’s relevant to this discussion.
And if your definition of “playing well” is “clearing MC under 40 minutes”, you have strange references.

How is it strange reference? Its litteraly top 40 guilds, assuming around 50 players per roster, thats top 2k

No offence, but soon wgen you notis you raiding with an Elemental (instead a resto who specs elemental for everything else) before phase 4 just insta gquit .
Cba going in depth on this, just trust an old boomer shaman.

A mix of +1 and loot council… A few council members who are always involved, and then a couple of rotating raid members added to the council per raid to try and keep things a little fresher.

Drops are taken into account across multiple resets, but once you’ve won something that week then your next “roll” will indicate that, and likely mean you not getting anything else (unless the only “needers” have also won something that reset - hence the “+1” element).

The raid leader has final say and can overwrite a council’s decision.

Nothing wrong with a DKP system, it rewards attendance and someone being a “long standing member” - but there’s really no incentive to go “above and beyond” in a DKP system. Council (providing you can try to avoid cliques/favouritism and have an idea of loot prio before walking into a raid) would be my preference… Rewards can be handed out based on far more than attendance. Easier for people who don’t win an item to blame a person/council than an arbitrary DKP value though so it’s a delicate balance. Basically, as a council you’re doing your job OK if someone who doesn’t win an item understands why and accepts the decision.

unlucky top guild, lmao

Ignoring the forum warriors…

We are using EPGP, it is a good system and there is an addon that supports it. As far as points system go, I believe it to be the best there is. You can go around the problem of “only rewarding attendance” by awarding extra effort points to exceptional players that are always buff capped at every pull and generally excel at what they do.

The problem with it (and any other currency system) is sharding - a lot of gear will be sharded as people don’t want to “waste” their priority on non bis items and pass on smaller upgrades.

Loot council is best suited to performance focused guilds, as it ensure optimal loot allocation for overall raid performance. From my experience it causes all kinds of problems unless the whole guild shares the competitive mindset required to sustain the system.

Dont speak to me disgusting orc. Go back to your mudhut

Generaly loot councils allow people to /roll on lowertier gear freely, and that acquired gear having 0 impact on lc decisions
