Handling raid loot / roles

It also depends if you have a stabil roster. We had the same 45 people showing up every time. We appreciated each other and it was the general rule you don’t take daggers from dagger rogues, cloth from cloth wearers, etc. We had loot prio on sets for 2 tanks but nothing else.

We used dkp and guild wide accepted common sense.

I honestly don’t know why I even visit these forums, I swear the only people who post here are either 12 years old or 89 years old and suffering from dementia.

“Who is that guy?”
Receives answer
“You think that’s me???”

Unbelievable.

Just roll on it bruh no rules just dont ninja be a nice fella and do it for the win not the epics they are just bonus and like friendship band

That might work for a casual guild that has players like kork in it

It works for ppl that have honor and are cool and not ninja company and evil GM and offficers, u press need if u need no min max its how nihilum did it i saw on utube

Well clearly it doesnt work seeing as you havent cleared mc

No. Literally no guild using DKP would give a 2h sword to a mage just because he has DKP.
You cannot possibly be this dense.

I have done it so many times on real vanilla when it was hard and i will do it when im rank 14 as lvl 50

Does that mean the mage doing half my dps is getting the same dkp as me?

Its not possible to reach r14 below lvl 60

Explain how i am gonna do it then bruh i get 20 levels of ppl to gank and pvp so thats more then all 60s LIFE HACK

For the same reason its not possible to reach lvl 61 in vanilla. Each lvl has a hard cap to the amount of rp you can get. At lvl 50 that cap is just below 37500 rp, which is enough to get r90 50%

We use a split between LC and Reserve item.
Before each raid 1 person can reserve one item, from the first 8 bosses, and one item from Domo or Rag, if that item drops they get it.
If more people have reserved the same item, they roll for it.
All other items dropping we are using LC on.
Works well, and people get something to say on what they want.

Are you suggesting that gear should only be handed out to people who do top DPS? Or are you suggesting that you’re just that much more skilled at pressing frostbolt than the guy next to you?
Lul.

People who put in more effort and perform better should get more gear, and it’s not necessarily about damage.

If I have 30 frostbolt casts in a fight but 5 of them are resists, I’m still playing better than someone doing 27 frostbolt casts with 0 resists that fight, despite doing less damage.

Same goes for preparation outside of raids, if someone brings full consumables, or if someone is commited to going to rank 13-14, that effort should be rewarded.

If you do that, you’ll have half your raid undergeared all the time, so the difference will always get bigger.
Stupid method, I hope you aren’t in a loot council.

You can’t judge on that unless the guild decides that loot goes to top damage. You should do that if you believe that’s the best way to build a good guild.

I would prefer adding people with common mind set to the guild and then set the expectation of what people should do on any given day. Like consumables, buffs, knowledge etc.

I bet he is one of those guys that think mage dmg in mc is 100% frostbolt

I believe DKP is good in a way that it rewards participation. But If there is no regulation on what you can spend your DKP on, people will bid on their BiS item, even if that is a very small upgrade from them, they have very close options or they will have better next phase, while for others that items might last several phases for example or have no other items available in current content.

The suggestions I read about having DKP with a loot council variation where class leaders deciding together on what class/spec gets prio on items, and from there on DKP decides who from those class(es) gets it, and of course for bidding on your set items, sounds like a good solution.

Dkp encourages people to be bad and to slack
