And they haven’t now. The post was restored clearly showing “happy (whatever religious holiday)” threads is perfectly allowed and fine. People can flag it, but it will just be restored,

Too much work for trolls and islamophobes to ignore a “happy Ramadan” thread. It’s very clear by the fact they keep coming back to it and derail it.

But I did enjoy reading the replies. Both negative and positive ones. It shows how…… “inclusive” and diverse the forums is.

Hope everyone has a lovely month and I thank you Ananda from the bottom of my heart. You have a lovely soul.

Well… actually no
According to the Qur’anic narrative, God’s will has always been for a single, united humanity. God reveals this will through His chosen messengers and the revelations embedded in scriptures. Every kind of discrimination, separation, exclusion, or division is negated by God. Domination of some portion of humanity over others is forbidden. Unjust exploitation of humanity or creation is rejected. Before the Islamic revelation, God entered into covenantal relationship with earlier faith communities to stop distraction, disorder, killing, and discrimination, evils that Muslims believe stemmed from the perceived division in God and humanity.
The Qur’an has strictly forbidden such division and commended unity: “And hold fast, all together, by the Rope which Allah stretches out for you, and be not divided among yourselves…”
More so the Qur’an does not make any distinction on the basis of sex and believes in human equality: O Mankind! We created you from a single pair of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other not that ye may despise each other.

Ramadan Mubarak!
May the light of Ramadan continue to shine in our homes all year long. Wishing you health, wealth, and happiness this Ramadan. May this Ramadan be your best yet

Kentarro you are amazing thank you

And I thank you for trying to explain Islam as well. I could’ve easily done that, but this thread is simply a “happy Ramadan” thread and I don’t want it to turn into a debate about what Islam is and isn’t, because initially that’s what the trolls want to happen. So the thread gets delisted or removed for off topic discussion.

I will spend this Ramadan with family, my pet, and bake desserts, give to charity, and try to be a better person overall. That’s why I will take some time off from the forums.

Cheers :tada:

Haha yes we are allowed to eat in-game.

I remember a few years ago i enjoyed gaming a little during Ramadan as it helps time pass during fasting.

In wow I would explore beautiful places, and see if there is any pets to tame. I love wearing the lunar dresses during this time just to be within the spirit haha.

Exploring wow is always peaceful especially Pandaria. I love fishing there.

Thank you!

Which describes a concept of intermittent fasting.

No they don’t. At least not those fasting I know. And one of them is my dad, so I can clearly say, your claim is false.

(No, I’m not fasting nor am I Muslim, just in case the assumption arose)

My claim is false cause of exceptions okay buddy.

I’m not your buddy and the fact that you switch to buddy mode suggest you want to play down my argument.

It’s not an exception either. How you know how many people fasting I grew up with and met throughout my life? Maybe you just have experience with some exceptional characters stuffing themsleves.

My experience makes your claim clearly false.

Oh, so your experience is more valid than mine, interesting.

If you claim people fasting for Ramadan would stuff themselves in general then it is a false claim. Simple as that.

I don’t know about him, but after fasting I don’t usually get that hungry so I eat in small amounts. Usually soups, small Cheese/corn Samboosa, and a salad.

No one has the energy to eat too much, at least here.

We do make some pretty good food and desserts so I wouldn’t be surprised if they do end up “stuffing themselves”

The food we make is a combination of cultural foods from South Asia, Southeast Asia, Middle East, Balkan, and North Africa. There is a lot of cultural food exchange during Ramadan between Muslims, hence the diversity in food and why it’s so delicious.

Sometimes we get food gifts from local Christians as well. And vise versa during Christmas.

My dad is a West-African Muslim, so the dishes do vary in that part of my familiy. They usually start with light fruits like pineapple or oranges to gently prepare the gut for food again followed by a regular dish like African stew with rice and that’s it.

Other people outside my family fasting, who I grew up with come from Tunisia and Turkey, but they all are like you and can’t really get that much into themselves after a day of fasting. Its salad or fresh fruits and then dishes like couscous with lamb, chickpeas and flat bread which is all very light compared to a lot of other dishes.

I do intermittent fasting myself for nutritional reasons without religous background (baptized Catholic after my mom’s religion but more leaning towards heathen spirituality) and if I haven’t eaten much a day, my stomach looks at a full plate very interested but only manages half of it really. :joy:

Must be nice coming from a mixed background. My parents are from the same place and it’s rather boring

Like I always hear fun stories and experiences from my half Arab half British friend and I’m like……yeah, I can totally relate (not).

That being said it’s nice to hear different experiences with food. Thanks for sharing

Yeah, African-German family background is a lively one. Never getting bored. :joy:

I love and cook both cuisines as well as many others since my friend circle, as well as the one of my parents has always been multicultural, so lots of culinary inspiration. Food makes people come together, which is one thing I also love about Ramadan despite not practicing the religion.

Do appreciate the varying recipes in WoW also. Sounds silly, but I still would root for an actual WoW cook book.

Yesssss!

I’m from a Roleplay server so we play around with food ALOT.

I saw a Pandaren Roleplayer give some spicy curry to a Kul Tiran.

He said “I’m fine” …… “wait”…… “will you excuse me I need to take a walk”

He walked slowly…. Started running and started farting leaving a trail of fire. It was the most hilarious thing I’ve seen.

Not sure how he did it must have used a toy or something.

It made me crave curry
