Headcanon 2: Electric Boogaloo

I seem to recall seeing Krasus flying above Blackrook Hold with Rhonin on his back during the Legion flashbacks.

He dost do that.

Damn, ngl… I kinda forget most about those quests! But then the same question arrives as for the WoE dungeon… Is it the then current Krasus or the time-travelling one!!!

Probably “current” Krasus, seeing as “time traveler” Krasus couldn’t take on the dragonform.

“Current” Krasus died in the pre-Cata novels when he blew himself up to kill a bunch of infected dragon eggs.

Well yes, but seeing as it was a flashback “current” or “mainstream” Krasus was very much alive at that point!

Thyasa makes a good point with

Especially since this takes place during the Illidan flashbacks to the War of the Ancients, which in current lore appearantly, takes place during the WoTA were Rhonin, Broxigar and Future-Krasus appear! (Since (s)he states that Rhonin is sitting on its back, which would make the Krasus flying about the original Krasus of said timeline, instead of future-Krasus who already died in our timeline)!

or its our timeline’s dead Krasus because Blizzard forgot that he couldn’t take another form during that book series.

I don’t mind alternate timeline stuff, I think it’s fun to explore… plus seeing Draenor was cool. I honestly wish the entire expansion wasn’t super rushed though, there was a ton of stuff (Shattrath) left to explore we just never got to, and then the entire concept was just abandoned.

Also VERY confusing how they handled the Draenei… like, Velen is just there, but where is main timeline Velen? Vindicator Maraad from main timeline is there (I think), but like, the fact he’s meeting people he presumably knew from 35 years ago just doesn’t really come up… the entire idea of the draenei meeting alternative versions of their old friends (or themselves!) is pretty much just ignored.

Making a time travel expansion and then completely ignoring all time travel elements in the story feels kind of insulting. Like they just couldn’t be bothered. Even DBZ had a far better time travel story lol.

Maybe if they just collapsed the timelines to get us a reset it’d all be okay.

Call me, Blizzard.

Time travel is rarely done well, WoD was a mistake. A dumb expac to go hand in hand with a bad movie.

which wouldn’t be that weird either, tbf XD

They just wanted to redo the First War or something, but then in WoW. Should’ve just gone with an updated Outlands! Path of Glory 2.0!

The original idea, the horn of nozdurmu resurrecting the wc1 cast?

It was strange, as was the lack of what ifs I feel, for a alternative timeline. Along with not meeting yourself.

Closest would be the gorian empire as a “what if ogres overthrew the gronn” but iirc it’s retconed to exist main universe so eh.

The lack of content did kill the expac, along with poor planing (garrison and rep for example) and cut content. RIP zangar sea and faralohn. And then the final nail being the infinite timeline legion and killing archimonde.

Zangar Sea is the sea between Nagrand and Frostfire Ridge.

Should’ve been an Underwater zone like Vashj’ir! :stuck_out_tongue:

RIP Ogre Continent :frowning:

How about no?

Rude :frowning:

Vashj’ir was terrible.

Personally I think it was one of the more fun zones ever added in WoW. It was something different and I enjoyed it very much from start to end. And if it was up to me, they would’ve added Nazjatar in the same manner, but alas.
