Well I’m sure that’s enough for a melee DPS in LFR. Especially if you have no point of reference since you’ve only used the horrible base UI or some “all in one” class WA that’s usually a mess.
Because you’re using bad, outdated auras…

this is just silly, carry on. nothing to see here.
I’ve used a range of WA thanks, I don’t do PVE due to friends quitting and finding the content a bit meh most of the time. Prefer raiding over M+
Sounds like a great addon
I don’t find them necessary for my enjoyment but hey
If others want to play a simulation game like an NPC then power to them
Whenever someone says “addons play the game for you”, all I can read is “I’ve never done competitive content”.
Strange
Personally I read what others are saying rather than misinterpreting it intentionally to fit a narrative
Don’t you think addons have had a hand in blizzard making upper end PVE content more and more challenging and convoluted?
I think some mechanics (which have been around since long before weakauras became sentient) would require telepathy to be handled consistently.
And while it’s always been possible to progress without addons, over the years players grew tired of wiping 300 times on each boss and want to eliminate as many liabilities as possible.
I think most suggestions from players regarding addons wouldn’t make WoW more fun or challenging, just more frustrating and annoying.
and it is here, that we enter the Cycle (of Hatred) where they both created permanent infinite looping
Raid gets harder due to addon assistance - Addon assistance causes more raid mechanics and complexity
Do you see it yet? One might have to give… and logic decides which
We all know which one that is
Relying and leaning heavily on Addons really doesn’t impress me and voids learning deeply about your class
I get huge satisfaction when playing a class, lets say for a month or a few months, and then realise or discover that using an ability AFTER this other ability, nets me a fair amount more dps or burst
That gives me dopamine, which is why I even play video games
Having an addon spell it out for me so that I am playing a simulation to a point? Couldn’t think of anything worse
Said it earlier but… this is your opinion
I love this game… and I couldn’t disagree more
Furthermore , it’s the fundamentals associated with this attitude and go-go-go | Min-maxing which breeds exclusion. Not playing a meta class that can do giga dam? Yeah not interested sorry decline for like a +7 key
And you wonder why I don’t want to PVE
Heeeeeell nawww
If only I had friends (Not interested in joining any communities atm, might change though)
Weakauras isn’t really an addon. It’s more like an in game addon maker. It’s as good as what you make with it, or what you use that someone else has made.
If you use weakauras made by people who are bad at making addons, or don’t update your weakauras the same way you would add ons, you will have issues.
If you think rotation helpers improve people’s gameplay, why aren’t all top raiders using them?
You’re not playing the same game as we are mate, and that’s putting it gently.
Thanks for the clarification , somewhat open source or a template for others to implement their string data
I get it , i’m just done with the amount of bugs and don’t feel it overwhelmingly necessary for me atm
For reference, they’re PvP ones, and loads of people have to reload cos of bugs
I don’t know what the solution is but don’t have the patience to constantly reload , you can legit die from it
Happened to Flop quite recently
I’ve been fair and reasonable
There is no need for this comment at all
Have a good day
Didn’t explicity only say these either
But from someone that says
I expected so much
Typically this is because making good weakauras that are more than simple timers or alerts is way harder than you’d think, and the people making them is going to be roughly proportional to the popularity / size of the playerbase for that content.
There’s huge numbers of raid, PvE, world content, UI based weakauras but very few that deal with anything PvP related. Another reason for that is also a lack of predictability. Most weakauras that look sophisticated or complex really aren’t, they’re just showing things on timers. Writing lua that reads a timeline is easy, writing lua that reacts to what’s happening is not only skirting the edges of what’s allowed, it’s also really hard.
Appreciate the insight my friend
I actually downloaded a WA around november , didn’t quite understand some elements so added the creator on Discord and they were super friendly and ran me through some options to get it working as displayed on curse or wherever I found it, I forget now
I also understand that the nature of PvP and a much smaller amount creating for that content has implications
As a player though , it offers little to no help other than disabling them
I’ve died in reloads lol
I’m sure you can understand how tilting and frustrating that is
Yes, and my advice is to generally steer clear of less tested / rigorous add ons or weakauras if you’re doing content like PvP. You can absolutely find rigorously tested weakauras for your UI / buff tracking that will be absolutely fine (Not to mention those kinds of weakauras are usually incredibly simple and don’t have parts to go wrong in the first place), but you’ll still have to update and maintain them the same way you would any other addon.

Something simple like this isn’t out of the ordinary.
I’ll probably just stick to a minimal WA to show me my most important CDs for arena
Anything past that I don’t care
Would be nice to track Rogue kidney shots for Glimpse but it’s whatever
Kidney shorts? lol
I agree with OP - the rotations on some classes are too complex.
From what I know about Zhujiang , they’re a purist for lack of a better word
In principle , I agree but don’t think it’s class complexity that is the issue
I don’t massively like simplicity
I’ve been using Hekili since the beginning of SL and I wouldn’t play without it simply because I play multiple characters and I can’t be bothered to remember rotations on top of all the key binds for situational utility (especially on enh shaman).
That’s also why I play Fury, the rotation is fairly easy.
I loved how GW2 played on that aspect too.
Never used anything more than recount. Had fun with the game all along.
Don’t play wow like online poker.
Brewmaster’s base rotation consist of 6 buttons, 7 if you have to swap between single target and AoE during a fight. You also have 5 cooldowns so your opener has a ramp-up time.
And we did not even start looking into utility, CC, consumables and on-use items.
